Sir Lancelot: No, it's too perilous.
Sir Galahad: Look, it's my duty as a knight to sample as much peril as I can.
Sir Lancelot: No, we've got to find the Holy Grail. Come on.
Sir Galahad: Oh, let me have just a little bit of peril?
Sir Lancelot: No. It's unhealthy.

Meanwhile - the lousy 40 limit on Smoke Bombs is a pain... espicall if you left Nades to later in your Pirates Life... as your resigned to levelling them painfully... :)

Capt'n Nighthook?

When did I change names?!? LOL j/k

And please...don't get me started on MP and the Holy Grail...

Bah...too late...now you've done it...

1st soldier with a keen interest in birds: Where'd you get the coconuts?
King Arthur: We found them.
1st soldier with a keen interest in birds: Found them? In Mercia? The coconut's tropical!
King Arthur: What do you mean?
1st soldier with a keen interest in birds: Well, this is a temperate zone
King Arthur: The swallow may fly south with the sun or the house martin or the plover may seek warmer climes in winter, yet these are not strangers to our land?
1st soldier with a keen interest in birds: Are you suggesting coconuts migrate?

Hehe...

And now for something completely different....

Yea, leveling nades the higher you are is a task upon itself...as Maximvs said painfully, albiet painfully being an understatement...

Hello

New to Pirates, thank you for all the guides and tips I can find on this great place.

I have one more question though.

I am currently lv 18, all my weapons are lv 11.

I avoided the Black Pearl quest and I am so fighting mobs to level my weapons.

I level fast and I am wondering if for my level my level weapons is good or again too low ?

Actually I gain about 93rep/68 weapons pts. I am mainly fighting in Port Royal Fort.

What do you think ?

Thank you

I don't know but i think that doing it is good because its way faster to level.

If the pirate your building is one of hi REPS and you have the patience - then you are on the best path to accomplish this :)

By only working weapons - your overall Noriety stays lower and your enemies will contine higher REP longer.

You will eventually have to move on to other locations (Padres Beach, Outcast or Cutthroat and Tormenta), but each should continue to give large returns as long as the skill points earned are not applied to the weapons (besides one point to unlock any necessary skill to continue your success as given in sveral guides posted).

Good Luck :D

thank you for the answers :)

Yes, although new, this is my 4th try to build one, after reading again and again this forum, I decided to start a new one and to make a very good one :))

About the skills weapons, I did as you said, applying only 1 pt to open the skills.

Though I still wonder which skills would be good to raise at higher level. I tried to found some profile to see what would be good, but so far nothing.

About the weapons, do I buy the lv 10 one in shop (expensive :() or do I go on with the basic weapon ? and if I have to wait, until which level would you recommend me to wait ?

Sorry about all the questions, but so far I am addicted to Pirate :)

I personally don't bother with buying the weapons in the shops. (except the double barrell pistol, gotta have it) Wait til your weapons are at lev 15, and unlock the weapons quests. Why spend the gold on something that's going to give you marginal added power, when you can get the best available for "free"?

Well, it can give you a boost on the doll in those earlier levels without having to put extra skill points that will cause problems later.

And we spend more gold on that on rum for a day anyhow! ;)

Sarah 09-18-2008 01:40 AM

I'm just frugal I guess ;) A 3% weapons upgrade just isn't worth the gold for me. I'd rather save for a war ship than get a lev two weapon, knowing shortly down the road I'm getting the top model. Albeit I have to find a million corvettes for it....grrr. Potato Potato.

Now, off to replenish my Rum stash...

This may sound silly, but the one pirate where I skipped all the middle tier weapons, I regretted it frequently. Every time I got ammo or tonics, I'd see a glaring red HIGHER LEVEL WEAPON ALREADY OWNED. It bugged me much more than I ever imagined it would. (And of course, you can't buy a lower level weapon. Even if you don't want the extra damage points, while trying to level up.) Also, the "Main Gauche" looks way nicer than the Coltello "dagger." (Super cool blue gem on handle.) But you can't buy it back, once you've done the dumb Coltello dagger quest.

The only time gold pieces were a factor, was when I was ready to buy a war galleon. Once I owned that, the only "problem" I had with gold from that point on, was having too much. ("Cannot sell this item. You can't carry that much gold.")

My personal recommendation is to buy them all, as they become unlocked to your pirate.
