I voted for the whip, flamethrowers have a nasty habit of blowing up and engulfing the user in a fiery embrace of death if hit with a grenade or bullet... (say like from the undead grenadier or urchinfist)

Now, what I would like to see is us being able to pull a cannon out of a ship and us that against opponents. (During a boarding action onto a flagship, I shot a skellie with a High Explosive round and did like 8000+ points of damage! ZING BOOM!!!! splat)

A whip would be interesting... but as far as skills go, it would probably get boring. I'm all for a bayonet, musket, or good ole hand-to-hand combat! :)

The phase files have a "voodoo kettle" which sounds quite intriguing! Not just for Lucinda anymore, eh?

The mini-torch / flare thing being held in this picture looks quite useful - especially with one or two specially marked barrels of gunpowder!

Offtopic: Man, they've got some snazzy uniforms in the EITC. Love the boots. Hat is awesome. Embroidered vest, mega-buttoned coat, perfect black pants. Even the French cuffs of the shirt are far above ordinary. Makes Barbossa look like a pauper.

This is actually one thing that the game severly misses.

If I need to defend myself, I may not always carry a weapon, but my fists are with me whereever I go. Most games of battle nature have some form of fisticuffs as an available option. I think POTCO takes a more pacifist approach though not wanting to encourage fighting.

I think the bayonet is the only weapon (given the options) that would fit in the game without seeming bizarre and out of place. Maybe whip and maybe darts, but those are both a stretch.

As silly as that seems for a game with swords, guns, and GRENADES for crying out loud, I think you're probably right.

Anyway I would love tommy gun so u dont have to click click click, but now Ive seen it I really do want to see a 'toothpick' in the game cos I want to know how u might get to lvl 25 fully mastered toothpick, woo hoo! Sounds like fun.
