It's cause he's not a pirate, mates...

...he's an NPC!

He can be found in the Royal Anchor in Port Royal. Guess it's nice to have an NPC named after you.

You guys must have mis-understood me

He has a Character in Game Named after him

so you wont find him on DxD

The Character is in the game as a NPC named Captain Job
in the episode he is pictured standing beside jack sparrow during a cutscene talking etc.

and yea its definetly a real cut scene from Pirates online because even the host of the show said it is

My guess is that its an upcomming update etc. (the cut scene that is)

Every year that I can afford to - I take the family, pack the car and drive the 2016 miles (thats about 3220kms for us Canadian folk ;) ) to Walt Disney World for December - just to remove us from the chaos of the world today and try to live a piece of happiness... (then drive that all the way home when it ends... its a long drive home...)

And everytime I walk down Main Street, looking at the big Castle, I become 16 all over again - ready to ride Space Mountain, ready to see Mickeys ToonTown, and ready to sail off to adventure on Pirates :D

I understand that Disney has to keep making money, the shareholders demand it - business commands it... but they more than any other company have to look at what they are delivering - a vision, a dream, a world where there is no pain, no suffering and everyday starts with joy.

I would hope that in such a world, this vision of what they represent is not lost. The challenge is double for them - be a business, bring dreams to life... the two usually don't mix in the world we live in today.

I'm critical of them at times, but not because I'm a cranky old guy (I don't believe), not because hex is that important or that KingsHead should have the fence... quiet the opposite actually :D I do it because I know there are many kids who play their worlds which they create, live their fantasys, and by-gosh I want them to get it right... I want kids to have fun and NOT struggle as much as I have both in the real world - and this one we live in which is POTCO :)

I do this so when my daughter gets older and moves on with her life she also strives to hold onto a piece of that dream, the world which we strive for can come true if we all including Disney work at it...

... and maybe she will return with her children to continue living the dream - I can only hope :)

... and I'm so jealous of that kids room at the moment LOL :D

:witch:
Maximus, you are such a poet- if my own love of the classic Disneyland could form words, they could not have sung better.
Excelsior!

Captain Job hangs out in the PR tavern Royal Anchor next to Josie McCready. He's been "Captain Job" for a couple of months or more, but used to be "Rutherford Bligh".

Okay seriosly has he always been there... this is kinda weird.

swashbuckler II 10-27-2008 09:01 PM

Well you think they filmed it a long time ago lol

Watched the show last night and (of course) was very envious of the room. My daughter and I have a thing about watching the "Building a house show".

Her job is to drop her jaw and say "how cool" or "I wish I could have......."

My job is to continue to remind her just how good we have it. That we aren't (and hopefully never will be) in a position to be on the show.

Max - I was at WDW in May and cannot agree with you more. We go every two or three years and for me there is no better way to justify working long hours in a cubicle for an ungrateful bunch of......... ok, I digress.

The only thing better than being a kid again is watching your own (or those of a random stranger walking by) glaze over in amazement with each new wonder.

Our favorite saying when we hit a ride with a long line is that we'll "save that for the next trip" thereby all but guaranteeing another visit.

That show, Disney, the concept - really is amazing.

Can you imagine the emotional reserves the designers and people who build the houses must have to be able to do that week, after week, after week (yeah, they get time off - but, still!)

Stop me when I start to ramble.........

Chris 10-27-2008 10:43 PM

Lol good explination. But as you say i wish i had that room but im not and hopefully never will be in a postition to be on that show.
