also the war of 1812 ended in a draw but in all reality america lost (DC was burned to the ground)
the fugitive slave law allows for escaped slaves to be captured in free states
the compermise of 1850 gave texas 10 million dollars instead of territory extending into el paso and establised sevral bils including the fugitive slave law
