All right...well, after getting my account, I used a walkthrough to make my own multiplayer server. If anyone wants the IP, post on this thread saying you want it and I'll PM it to you. The IP I might send you works best with Direct Connect, so try that.

Well I thought I would post an update with half the forum dying of anticipation lol

Well, me and my RL friends played on my private server today and decided to go on a little CAVE EXPEDITION! (Yay) On the way, we found many useful things: Coal, Iron, Lapis Lazuli, Redstone, Gold, Cobblestone (Of course. :P) and very pleasantly, DIAMONDS! Unfortunately, we got gold miner's fever and fought over who got to take it. Well, not really, but here's the story. I found some Diamonds, but unfortunately, it was right next to lava. I put some dirt on the lava and TRIED to mine the Diamonds. But, my friend teleported me to where he was because he needed help (I made him an operator). I tried to go back to where the Diamonds were, but then I saw that my friend had just mined it! Long story short, I got mad, and forced the Diamonds out of him. He confessed he just didn't want me to get the Diamonds and that he wanted them and we became friends again. :P Then, we got VERY valuable stuff, proceeded to go back to the surface, until suddenly a Creeper came up to us and kamikazied us. We lost our stuff and couldn't find it. Hope ya liked the story! And watch out for Creepers coming from behind you.

You should put the ship on mc schematics ( if you don't mind other using your work , make sure they give ya credit though ) so people can use it on their servers. With as many people playing minecraft as we have on pirates a pirate themed server would be pretty cool. I'm sure you could find some thing on bukkit that would work.

You can make a TnT cannon and a fort but the cannon won't turn so not really a turret. Creepers and such aren't to hard to keep at bay though. Now if you install the to many creatures mod and set it to hard you'll have a troll rip your house apart and beat ya silly.

Another update on the brig. Sorry it took so long, I had problems with the server and the update. Anyway I got a lot done. I started the interior, made the captains cabin, and the below deck space. Here are a few pics of that.

Will be the cargo hold and crews quarters. http://i1118.photobucket.com/albums/...9-59-58-07.png I also set up the tnt canon broadsides! They work, however they need to be manually reloaded each time. 24 canons each with 8 pieces of tnt takes a while to reload. I am looking into getting a plugin that can regenerate it automatically. The explosion repair plugin I am using just gets all confused when it trys. And fanally, with the hull finished it was time to set her out on her maiden voyage!!! :swordpirate: :pirate_flag: http://i1118.photobucket.com/albums/...9-52-50-58.png Obviously she still needs sails. I just wanted to put her in the water first. The sails are going to go all the way to height cap and I wanted to know exactly where they would be before I started. |

I found an awesome texture pack - FancyCraft by JJJas0n!
Some things are invisible, such as redstone lamps, ( Just to mention, this was made WAY early!!!), but overall it has a nice feel to it. The link is here. |
I use Faithful Craft texture pack. It's HD 32 x 32. It's basically just an HD version of default :)

This is for all the Shadow Sorcerors to see. This is a little something that Johnny Darkwalker and I built on our Shadow Sorcerors server (PM me if you are interested in having the IP). Unfortunately, there is no angle which can show its full majesty. Just a note, this was built without using WorldEdit.

Also, I'd Love to try out other people's servers. I have my own, but I host it through Hamachi, so it's manly used with friends, and 1.3.1 kinda broke it. If I get it set up, I'll see if I can make it more public for some of us to get on. And Tibby - Ho. Ly. Floatsom. Thats amazing. Maybe instead of blowing up the map when we're done, me and my frends should just constantly work on something. |
