I think I would knock the guy out. He tries to make people believe the Kraken's out, but if you look closely to the left of the black screen at 2:11, you can see the
"|", which is the flickering thing when your typing. So it's seriously obvious that it was faked.

Too bad no one on youtube noticed this. At least they know it's fake lol.

Well, one can only wonder what other things these guys do...

Keep in mind it may have been a personal joke amongst this persons friends, and not meant to mess with all us pirates heads.
We hadnt really heard of this video, as it wasnt really brought to others attention. Youtube makes it easy to share with friends, but others can find/view it and could possibly come to the wrong conclusions.

I am sure the kraken will come in due time....well overdue at this point however consider the following.....

As far as them taking a long time to release this im sure its due to the fact that creating a major game update while at the same time updating the currently running version and keeping out as many bugs as possible is no easy task. (anyone remember when you could get behind just about any wall in the game?).....not so much anymore

disney is a huge company and anything they touch turns gold.....but they make sure what they release is a good product, if it carrys their name its gotta be right.

i dont know about many of you but i have been playing for well over a year now. since WAY before the islands changed and when privateering wasnt even around. i left the game for a few months and came back to see everything had changed.....that right there impressed me and got me right back in the game that they could do that much of a change in a few months

they will get the kraken out there im sure and they will get the second story quest going im sure...as far as im concerned they are doing a pretty darn good job with what they have. Im just happy to have something to do in the game for now. you dont see a whole lot of level 50s out yet so many are like me and were previously mastered and had NOTHING to do for a LONG time....im just happy there is something to look forward to.

Mate, I haven't been on test since... whenever.... but I'm sure, the Kraken is not out yet. It WOULD say so in the Test's Game News. But I'll check just to be sure.

I thought I remember reading on PiratesOnline.com that the Kraken, new story quest, and inventory system is gonna be released this year... unless Disney releases them before January 1st 2010, then they lied to us.

They'll most likely bring it by the end of December or the beginning of January.

It seems like D is going in an entirely different direction than what releasing the Kraken would involve. I mean, they started down this whole invasion thing and being able to fight against Jolly Roger and now he's invading Tortuga. The Kraken is Davy Jones pet, not Jolly Roger's, and Davy Jones isn't even in the game at all, but Jolly Roger is. So I think that the Kraken maybe isn't coming at all, or at least there's a lot more story to tell before he does come. I don't see how the Kraken suddenly showing up would have anything to do with what Jolly Roger is doing with invasions and stuff.

Also, maybe I don't get it or something, but what's so exciting about the Kraken anyway that everybody wants it sooo bad? Everyone talks like it's going to be the best thing to ever happen to POTCO, but shooting tentacles doesn't really sound that fun to me... maybe I'm wrong.

Well, there could be a chance that Big D is going to make it like this:

Jolly Roger somehow turns the Kraken onto his side, into an UNDEAD Kraken. Thus, making it do Jolly Roger's evil bidding. That's what I would think they would do.

Maybe not undead because that doesnt really evolve around the movie. but the kraken turning to jolly would be good.
