They don't seem to be. I was on earlier and saw an injured ghost. It healed rapidly though, and our whole group barely made a dent. You could kill them if you had the same massive all-out attack like we see on Jolly Roger during invasions...

Can anybody tell me their opionion on what to pick from the LSC at the end? I'm not exactly sure which weapon is better, and when the Cove hits live, I want to be sure. :)

It depends what you want, you can find them all later, but this is your main choice. I hear there are also 5 legendaries.

i might pick the bitter end, a sabre, or the nautilus blade, which is a cutlass.

or even the spinecrest sword which is a broadsword.

Van you redo the boss battle after you finish it? I am very greedy and would like all 3 famed crused weapons in me hand...
do they just tell you the names and you have to choose? or is it like normal skull that you can hover your mouse over it and see their weapon cards?
edit: just went on the wiki, and you can look at their weapon card and choose, and also the skull is there and you can choose from it when you first board a ship, so I wonder if you can't redo it, if you can choose a famed cursed blade, defeat a few crew first so it saves, leave el patron alive and log off, so you would still have the quest unfinished, and have to do it again, but still have the free famed sword you have, so the second time you do it, you can choose your second free famed blade... then the third after you do the same thing again..

you can see the cards, but you can only take won. you might be able to go back though. i want the bitter end. then spine, then the other won.

can you kill them with a buss? since if your max level buss should do up to 8000 damage for another level 50 enemy (at least.. it did that much to thralls).

They have a certain amount of Health points that they always maintain, and whenever they take damage, they just regain their health instantly.

I got them to zero and then BAM they got to full health.

i bet that its possible, you just need to do it a certain way.

There are on the wiki, and also on the weaponsmith forums. the topic had something to do with raven cove and cursed blades, cant remember the exact name.

Were new potions released on test with ravens cove?

No they were not, you may actually brew the potions you need once, but after you turn it in they're gone.

oh, thats kinda goofy. Also, I have another question. Does anyone have any of the legendary cursed blades?

Ok one thing, I don't get is. Why does the quest end with you defeating El Patron and taking a cursed blade. Why can't you also take a cursed blade to Captain Jack Sparrow so the Rum Blockade will stop and he can finally defeat Jolly Roger once and for all? Maybe this is the next update to the test game after Raven's Cove and The Raven's Cove Quest comes to Live perhaps? :/ :bookishfj7: :piratewheelgo2: :pirate6: :mat:

Defeating Jolly Roger once and for all would destroy the game. If he was destroyed, all the skeletons would be gone, all the quests involving skeletons would be editted (virtually destroying the Black Pearl quest,) all the invasions would stop, and the game would be nothing compared to what it is with Roger. When the quest says "the only way to defeat Jolly Roger," I'm pretty positive that means, as in, winning a fight against him, sending him in to hiding again, and etc.

Besides, we're pirates. If Jack wants a Cursed Blade so bad, he can go plunder it himself! :p

Del does hae a point though, why are we helping him? Is it fair? We recovered the pearl and he got us almost killed by Jolly Roger. Now we have to go save Ravens Cove and his rum? Go to Rumrunners Island if you need it so bad! Your supposed to be the most notorious pirate, but you can't even take down Roger when some people do it alone? This all MIGHT be leading up to the kraken. I know there is still a low chance that it will come anytime soon but it is still a possibility. The reason I say this is because a long time ago, someone from potco said that in the future there would be things like notoriety increases, mini games(fishing, potion brewing, ship repair and cannon defense) and new story quests.(ravens cove) that would tie to the next story chapter like Davy jones and the kraken. Probably nothing but you never know.

Correct, and remember how they said the black spot will probably lead to the kraken? Well obviously, that new emote shows that you have a spot of black on your hand. In the first movie, jack has the black spot, and then davy jones appears. Who knows at this point.

I really hope they are finally tying this all together. I want somebody to do that emote then go sailing, see what happens.

Anyways according to the story, HE'S TRYING TO GET JACK TO COME OUT, so we have to help hiim without him actually LEAVING the tavern, that ruins the whole point if he goes to Rumrunner's, cause then Jolly will find him, kill him, and we have no main story guy anymore.

Personally, I would feed Jack to an alligator the first chance I get... he freed me from jail, so I helped rescue his ship... now can he please get off his lazy bum and do something? Some people idolize Jack, I don't. Im pretty sure most of us could beat him in a good sword fight.

guys let remember if they made him a real player like as good as he is in the movie we would have nothing left to do the game is supossed to make us feel better than jack like we were the most notories pirate and again hes just and NPC it be different if he was a disney person playing for real

Yeah, that's a ton of new stuff. I would say that the second story chapter would be much harder to create than the first. And yeah, the kraken probably will come...eventually. But it's really strange that it has taken so long. It seems like at the launch of the game, back in 07 they had the kraken and Davy jones already created, it shows video of both of them in the first trailer. Also in 06, people got a sneak peek at the unfinished game and were able to test the kraken boss battle. That was four years ago and it's still not here! What's up with that? The only thing I can think of is lots of problems or something.

Arg, must I keep saying it?! The Kraken won't come until the time is right! We are dealing with Raven's Cove and El Patron right now, not giant squid. If they dropped the Kraken in right now, it would be too awkward. They will build up to it later. As Chimera Doll said, be happy with what we are getting now. It will come when the time is right!

I think there is a possibility that the emote WILL, in fact, lead to something of that sort.

The emote is currently programmed to say the same thing over and over. Nothing special for it at the moment.

The major problem with the Kraken has nothing to do with programming. It’s the Storyline that is the problem. The Kraken will not stop until its mission is complete, "In movie 2, Jack Sparrow’s dept is settled. And we cannot defeat it because. 1. It must be in the Movie, and 2. Davy Jones is the one that must defeat it. So even if we do get the Kraken, it will only end in it sinking the ship. In which case Davy Jones' Locker must be added.

Actually Josh, we could keep firing at it until Davy Jones decides he doesnt want his pet to lose all of its tentacles. Therefore we could have the Kraken, defeat it, and still not kill it.

You might be thinking of... Idk... Davy Jones? Nah he doesn't regenerate his tentacles

This new /hand emote is apparently available to only those who've completed the story quest. Can't we to see what it's about.

What is this thing on the news? It says Ravens Cove UPDATED. Is there anything new or are they just trying to get more people to test it?

I think since they had a boatload new of updates (FIXES not actual updates) they want to find every bug and get it out ASAP.

i cant wait for raven cove because after u do the quest there are new famed blades that can be found in drops and 1 legendary.

They did fix two emotes for female characters that did not work right before.

It was glare and one more that I can't remember.

You get to choose from 3 famed cursed blades after defeating el Patron. And, there are five legendary cursed blades.

So.. um...??

Sorry, haven't been checking the thread much today. I don't access the phase files so I wouldn't know how long ravens cove has been in there, and I have no idea if there is new islands. Probably not yet, because we would have heard something about it by now.

I just saw the tyrant blade. It's a famed cursed blade, 91 attack! Those legendary are probably gonna be in the hundreds

Imagine the legendary cursed broadswords! It's going to go up to 100 with those!

Now why would that matter James? It looks like we're all getting a tad bit obsessive about what's coming next and are hungry for that. (You, me, alot of others). Frankly, though I loved the fact of getting all this stuff revealed to me at a time when a test update took so long to release (Fishing)... the spoilers ruined the feel of this new update... I mean that's why they're called spoilers... They spoil all the fun.

The only thing new are two different types of swords, which don't even seem special.

I see the amount of cutlasses as a real fault in the game itself, because there aren't more varieties of other weapons, like pistols, dolls, staffs, etc...

And I sort of regret that I viewed it. But it was an exciting read, initially.

What new swords? Do you mean two new models of swords? Which class - cutlass, sabre or broadsword - ? Sorry I haven't checked the Files much lately... And I doubt that they've released most of the models of the unreleased pistols, dolls, staves, and some of the legendary swords, that we see in the Spoiler list of all weapons in-game.

Well, it looks like Treachery's end has been discovered. Famed cursed blade with 87 attack and a new new special ability called Dark Curse. Im guessing that it is just like ghost form, except for your character will be black and purple instead of green. Still pretty cool though, so far the only swords seen with this ability are this one and the Shadow cutlass, a lost relic cutlass seen in a potco video.

Dark Curse? Wasn't the mysterious Shadow Cutlass supposed to have that ability? Hmm.... wonder if that weapon will come to the game soon as well, unless it is already on test...

Yes, the shadow cutlass also has the ability. Not sure weather anyone has found it or if it is even in the game. From the blurry picture it looks sort of like a machete.

I believe it's already on the test, showed up with all the other cursed blades

Well the only way i know is to go to your attachments which is in the same area as the thing that says fonts and sizes right above. you can also put them into the gallery, but i assume you mean into posts. you have limited space so pick wisely ;)

No, it would say story chapter like the black pearl thing. This is a short story quest. Not once has this been officially referred to as a new story chapter. Besides, Disney said the Kraken was their next story chapter. Not next story quest.

Ravens Cove is really cool, but it definately needs more testing. I ran into a bunch of bugs. Like, after I chose my famed cursed blade, the game froze and I couldnt play. Maybe they are planning on adding another update to test really soon? (possibly second story chapter)

Well, i finished teh quest, and here are some screenies!

Hmm, it appears that there are multiply party hats, I have the blue red, and I think everyone else does too, maybe it's liek a new color every day or something.

Who knows, all I've seen is the red and blue as well and I have seven. This is a pretty cool update. When I heard the old island music back in the game it reminded me of the old days in potco. Just by changing the music it makes the game feel better to play. Now, if they would only change the islands back to their original form. The new ones are so hard to get around.
