No, that won't be the case. They recently updated the ships of the line on test. The player ships of the line are now pirate versions, though they still lack repair spots and have a glitched back wall. The 4 cannons in the back have been moved to the back and front of the ship.

I personally think this should not come out for awhile until we have much bigger enemy ships like roaming enemy SotL, or a new powerful ship type!

If you ever go against the EITC fleets, you'll see Lv. 72 EITC Tyrants and a Lv. 80 SOTL.

Back on topic, I have to say I'm absolutely psyched about this. I would love to replace my war galleon with something slightly more bulky. If someone gets a good crew together, this ship will be a monster in SVS.

I doubt it will come out for a while though. They still have many bugs to fix with the Raven's Cove quest.

I don't see it being a monster in SVS. It is slow, easy to hit, and would not be able to catch all those sloops. However, its really strong hull panels would make it extremely difficult to sink. The Cerberus will probably become the new king of SVS.

That's why I said if you have a good crew, it would be a monster at SVS. I will admit, it does have its flaws, like the size, and from looking at the pictures, it looks like it has no front cannons. Regardless, getting a good crew together will still make it the top against the bigger ships due to its superior bulkiness.

Now, against sloops specifically, war sloops and sloops will not be that huge of an issue in my opinion. Light sloops will be if your cannoneers aren't so good.

i'm not worried because i already made my 200k,100k of it came from blackjack lol i'm just so sick and tired of waiting for them to release it,3 months is long enough to fix some colors,repair slots and cannons

Perhaps, however it won't fit in if they just pop some new ships in right now. Its not the right time. I could afford to wait a little longer for these ships. They are following a plan, and I don't see new ships fitting into it just yet.

I concur with both of you. We just got Raven's Cove not too long ago - I would think that there'd be a steady stream of new content coming out so that everything isn't just dumped on us and we all get bored.

What I mean is that it doesn't really fit in with the story line of what they are releasing. They are focusing on El Patron, Raven's Cove, new weapons, etc. New ships would be totally random, and would not make much sense to add in..... yet.

If they were planning to release them soon, the absolute earliest they could would be the 21st because they don't generally update during an event like Savvy Swashbucklers. However, they'll need to build up the storyline. I see this coming out in November.

I went and drove one on test. The broadsides have poor aiming cannon balls go every instead together. Needing repair spots. I hope they fix that glitch where health goes down faster then hull panels. Since I didnt unlock the tacking skill its going to be some LONG turning.

If the broadsides didn't aim properly, then you weren't within range when you hit the button. It has nothing to do with the ship. And the thing with the health is not a glitch. It just means the hull panels are really strong. Here are the problems right now:
1. No repair spots
2. Glitched back wall
3. The icon that appears on maps, the boarding screen, and presumably the health screen is messed up. It just looks like a war frigate with a sail stuck in the middle.
And seriously, the ship of the line is as slow and bad at maneuvering as a war galleon.
