I guess this was right. Theres a video out now and 2 places in this forum to go to. Looks exciting. But you never know if we pirates guess wrong.

I have been telling my guildmates to save their gold up and soon they will know why.

The Brig resembles the Black Pearl and the QAR. I hope there are more ship types than just the Brig, though.

As far as customization, the only thing I see are sail colors, hull colors and rigging colors. I do hope that there's more than just that when the update comes, although I won't be upset if that's all we get.

If I can't have a card table on my ship this update is a bust. rofl

You can apparently buy upgrades to certain sailing skills as well.

Well. I'm just happy we are getting something finally for sailing. I believe that was the only thing that didn't change when everything else did. I can't wait! The video was cool, but as Mac said, it wouldn't be as cool if they only allow us to color the hull, rigging, and sails. I mean thats ok, but I would like maybe just a bit more. Bit I would be fine with this. Its time to show off proud pirate style and be unique!

I think it'd make sense to keep your upgrades if you go basic. Wouldn't want all that money to go to waste...

If Light-class vessels can be customized, that is. Look at this screenshot taken from the video:


The War Frigate is able to be customized, but the Light Sloop is "unfit." Since the developer who made this video is obviously not Basic, this isn't a Basic Access limitation. Ship customization may be restricted to Merchant and War-class vessels, and not available to Light-class ships... or, it may just be War-class exclusive. Or, alternatively, there could be some unseen requirement needed to customize Light-class ships.

I think they didn't have enough time to implement customization features for light-class ships because they wanted to show us some small details about the upcoming update.

Just in time for the video. But since it hasn't reached the test server yet, those changes were probably not final. We may be able to customization light ships but they don't want to show us it yet............

Anyone notice in the video that it requires certain materials to upgrade the skills?
