Okay, first off, whoa. Are you sure Basil? :psmiley27: I about fell off my chair when I read your post. I mean, ya, Kat is sailing a LOT for the Pirate Life quest, and she's inching up levels faster now that I'm daring to take on the Ironwalls and Marauders and what not. :degen: But still, wow. That is a serious gift there. I've been wondering how I was gonna catch Kat up to Hawke, cause his warship fund is coming on nicely and his sailing level is a bit lower than Kat's, so he has more time to save. When I first became a member Kat had a bit of a girly pirate shopping spree, ya know? So her bank has been lower, and catching her up seems to be taking a while. Are you sure you're sure about this?

Enrique, about Charlotte, yes, she does tend toward being on later when her husband Jeffrey is also on. I have to give her a quick rundown on POF as she's never used it before, but I'll have her pop you off a PM so that you two can get on the same page time wise.

For me, any time is fine, just let me know whenever you're available. I'm in the childcare business and watch grade school age kids who are very impressed with Pirates, so it's okay for me to be on at work, whatever time that may be. Between my 4 pirates, I've given away over 200K in gold. We have been giving gold away at Guild events for over a year. Davy, Sarah, Piper, Kelly, Jess, Richard, and others, have all given away bunches. My gold has bought quite a number of Warships for the guild fleet. Trust me, Gold isn't why I compete in these events. I could have stood around all day yesterday and not defeated a single enemy, but what kind of example is that for the GM to give? I picked you because I figured Kat was getting close to level 15 sailing, and because you kept getting sunk in your light sloop! LOL.

Surprised I got the few that I did - think I went to jail four, maybe five times, not paying attention while tossing 'nades in Catacombs. Darn gypsy down there hates Tess. Then I went afk for a while and never got back into killing stuff. As always, a fun night though.


Sierra and Tess are both ok for gold and I haven't yet made a baby pirate, so I'd like to give my winnings to Zilly, Sven or Zep if they need it on any of their small pirates. If none of them want it, consider it to be used for anyone who needs a little extra.

When checking the leaderboards, the guild section and overall section run a day behind. Individual section showing today, Friday is results from Thursday. But, Guild section showing today is for Wednesday.

So. Wednesday's guild event netted us 7441 enemies defeated as a guild, #8 on the daily leaderboards, and moved us into 55th place all time.

WOOOHOOO WTG Dueces we will crack the top 50 soon!

If you want to jump ahead in the leaderboards, we could always designate a day in the week when we cause utter mayhem (as if we don't do that already) in the Caribbean. It'd be interesting to try out for a month or so, see how big of a jump we can get.

No Masterings, no Boss Battles, no other items that will detract. 2 or 3 crews, WarShips, and nothing but cannons blazing and enemy ships sinking. This is for the gold, not for rep.

Also, sometime tonight, I am going to post a new thread about sailing. It has been suggested that the senior pirates offer "sailing lessons" to some of the junior pirates. How to sail when solo, in small crew, and in large crew. Sailing for rep vs. sailing for ship count, vs. sailing for gold. And how to do each with each of the different ship types.

We can get the thread up and running, then pick a night, or more, and hold lessons. I'm more than willing to let others sail my ships, anytime. I know others will do the same.

Yeah, My brat has been awful quiet of late. Hasn't even asked for $5 lately. Wonder what has been keeping her so busy?

As for last ight, Was a great Plunder Party! First time in a while that we had just pure plunder, no interruptions. Basil got a little over 10K, which he needed since he gave Moe 15K yesterday morning.

Side note:

Having reviewed Basil's record: He is now at 149 Boss Battles as ship driver. His record is 131 wins, 17 losses and 1 tie. (I still think we got robbed that time we sank the Goliath just before we sank too. It's a tie!) The next BB that Basil drives will be his 150th!

Next Wednesday:
Guild help night! Anything that anyone wants to do, needs help with, or schedule. Masterings, Boss Battles, quests, etc. Just post here, and tell us an approximate time, so we can schedule things accordingly.

Kat will be attempting to be BB ready by then. She's halfway through Gunner, so don't hold me to it.

Whichever of my girls has the most interesting Quest or needs most lvling. I will post again closer to Guild Night. Last night was a blast & Wicked has plenty to buy a Frigate of her own Yay!!

Sorry I missed it. It was my turn to pick up the high schooler from band camp. They should call it Boot Camp - drop them off at 8 AM and pick them up some time between 9:30 ~ 11 PM. A lot of work for those kids; but they did make it to the Finals of last year's Grand National competition.

Great Guild night last night.

Chelle got her first Level 40 pirate glow! Grats to her!
Zilly got Kat O'9 through the Boss Battle! More Grats.
Then we all partied with that worthless card playing bum, Jack. And we tried to get Diedre to leave that tavern and run away with the Dueces. (She would have a lot more fun with us than just hanging out there.)

Then an impromptu Plunder Party! DxD is acting up on me this morning, but I think we got about 1250 ships as a guild. I do know that Basil made about 7K in gold from the 68 ships he sunk.

Next Weeks Guild night is a SPECIAL EVENT! I have started a seperate thread for our 250th member party. Got a few NEW events planned, things we have never done before! Check the 250 member thread for more info as I make it available!

The Bumper Boats game seemd to be a big hit, and Baby Pirates did pretty well, too. By the last posts, Corneo (Jess) and Cass (Piper) won the Baby Pirates game, unless there are teams who still haven't posted their results.

Notoriety
The challenge is that at LEAST 20 guildies move up one spot or more in their notoriety.

Times in jail
No more than one time in jail per pirate, on average, for the day.

Weapons and skills
At least 5 Dueces level up in each of the 8 categories. Cutlass, Pistol, Doll, Dagger, Nades, Staff, Cannons, and Sailing. (Not that 5 people has to level all 8 categories, but that 5 indivdual DW make it in each.)

These are not masterings, just a glow to any level. Results to be verified on DxD on Thursday. (I may need help in the verification process. Unless I can get either Moe or Mac to glow once in each category, I won't be able to check. Neither of them has a staff, so someone else will have to check that for me.)


As a side note; If anyone makes the top 100 for the day in either Black Jack, or in Poker, it will count as a glow for any category that we may fall short in.

So, prep up your own pirates, and be ready to help others, to meet the Glow Goal for the guild!

My Lady Bug has been glowing lika Christmas tree or should I say Pixie tree the last few days & I know Rachel has too :) I plan to keep those glows going, got my dagger today & got my dirt already! So I had 6 glows in that already :)

But the all day glow fest day is next Wednesday!

Richard's Final Mastering Extravaganza

The extravaganza will consist of four separate events starting with:

The Race For The Pants

The Race For The Pants is a foot and ship race around the Caribbean. That means no teleporting to islands and no use of the stow-away.

The race begins at 8 p.m. Eastern (or whenever you folks show up, not always a punctual group) at Richard’s tree on Padres Del Fuego. Those who do not know where that is, just tp to me when the time comes.

There are three check points in the race. I'm going to determine when people are there by looking at player cards. That means when you get there, stop, tell me, then I will let you know if you are good to go to the next location. Their locations will be revealed once everyone has gathered.

The final location is back at Richard’s tree on Padres Del Fuego.

Of course, there will be rewards young lasses and lads.

Prizes:

First Place: 2000 gold and a picture with the pants (hence race for the pants)
Second Place: 500 gold
Third Place: 100 gold

Glow Fest
We will sail from padres, hopefully all on the same ship, but if not, two or three ships. On the way to Outcast Island I will get my level 25 cannon glow.

We arrive at Outcast where I will finish my glows on my two favorite trees. I have cutlass, pistol, dagger, and grenade to finish as weapons.

AFK Pants Push Challenge
The next event is a push across the Outcast channel.

It’s possible to push in water. The water between where the stumps were and the rest of the islands is deep, and that is what you must push me across. This event will be timed and teams will be determined based on how many are there and in the interest of time so it doesn't take too long (meaning three teams at the most).

Prizes:
First Place: 2000 gold and a picture with the pants (that is right, two chances for a coveted picture with the pants)
Second Place: 500 gold
Third Place: 100 gold

Plunder Party
We close out the night launching war ships, one of which must be mine, and plundering as much as we can. Before we start plundering, these ships will serve as the bar as there will be drinks and dancing. There is a required shooting of other pirate's ships if there is more than one. Bonus points for shooting other pirates!

Oh man that is hilarious! Unfortunately I missed the push, because when I disappeared there it was because nearly all of the development lost their internet, and it didn't come back till this morning. I think I can help out with this one. Staff is new, so a glow is easily possible. We'll see. I don't work that night (HURRAY) So baring anything else I'll be there with Liz or Penny.

Uh, think I can arrange multiple glows from many of my pirates considering I have 4 under level 10, 7 under level 15, and Kat, who is close to a Doll glow. If I time it just right, Kat can Master sail that night for ya. Does that work?

I'm sure I can have some glows ready and I'm good at helping the other pirates "glow" if need be.

Depending whether real life allows me to get ingame at a decent time, Sierra is ready to hit Level 40 and also has nades ready to master.

Tess can build up to a few glows between now and then, and of course Baby Ella is just easy - she's still small enough to glow multiple times!

I intended to use DxD for verification of all the glows. Apparently, DxD is all messed up. I had problems with it not showing Sunday's Enemys or Ships, and today it tells me that my account(s) have no pirates. I can't get any data today at all.

Since DxD can't be relied on, I am going to ask that each of you keep track of your own glows. Post your glows for the day here tomorrow night or Thursday morning. Screenies not required, just a list of what glows you got, levels and weapons. Also, include times in jail. This will also adversely affect our ability to know if anyone makes the top 100 in poker or blackjack. If you see someone who isn't a normal reader here on POF glow, make note of that, too.

It's too late to try to delay the event, since a lot of us have set our pirates up to accomplish the glows tomorrow. I know a few who have deliberately taken thier pirate right to the point of leveling, and have stopped, just so they can help meet the GM Challenge.

I just happened to have checked my DxD, and it works okay for me. Since I'm trying to get someone to level in every skill if possible tomorrow, I could (assuming it works then) just take some screenies of the leaderboards for you. Might not be getting a nades or staff glow though.

DxD didn't show my pirates early this morning, but it does now. However, the Stats are from Sunday - I know Heartstealer sunk 10 ships last night but the board shows a higher number he did on Sunday. Also, one of the Baby pirates went out for gold on a public ship Sunday, gained some cannon Rep and DxD doesnt show the cannon levels. I guess we will just have to count.

I was prepared to say that since I have 2 babies, I think I can get 3 pirates to glow over 20 times in everything but Nades. (side note: I saw a pirate early this morning named Sarah Nade).

In an effort to also help others, Heartbreaker will open up his War Frigate for cannon and sail rep for smaller pirates to earn some levels on.

Because you are using DxD.. is this an all day event? Some I know of were afraid of premature glowage.

I accidentally made lvl 29 while healing Blue in Tormenta. (At 3:08 am Central time) And immediately thought...will this count..hahahaha... ask Blue.

GM Challenges are always all day events. Especially when I have to rely on DxD.

Moe and Mac already have 6 glows between them for the day!

And Kelly, if it was after 3 AM Central time, it should count. I believe it resets at midnight West Coast time.
