Then he told me to go away, nobody asked me, and then he called me fat fingers.... what the heck!? Who says "fat fingers"?! When I told my guild about him calling me fat fingers we all started cracking up... seriously, these jerks, as mean as they can be, can really give you a laugh. Anyway, I reported him.

Fat fingers.... xD

Well you got to it part of it was a little funny! :laughks2:

I wonder if that was the same dude that was rude to me after you left....

I don't really remember the conversation because everything went into a red haze of rage. I said something because the dude was playing around, aiming his gun at peoples heads. Yah, whatever, we all have guns too, and none of us can do any damage with them. Ah, wait! I remember. I said "Are we really gonna play this game mate?" He goes "blah blah blah" then something about me being a basic noob.

Brilliant. Thanks. Like I said, red haze of rage.

I really hate it when people make fun of my being basic. It's one thing if it's my friends or something making fun of me, I dunno, not having a broadsword or something. That's completely different. But when it's some guy in Tortuga that sees I'm grey and thinks I'm lesser for it? No, just no. If I had Unlimited, I would get it, but I don't have the time or the money for it. It's like some people have said: Others don't seem to realize that there's an actual person behind the screen.

Yes, people should be polite to each other no matter what.

I just got an idea. So, when I see someone being rude or mean, I wont usually report them unless they are really being bad. They should have a second Mean or Rude Behavior report button, one that is less severe. In this one, you can type out what happened, and the disney mods can double check everything later. In this one, you would have a three strike rule.

If you violated it once, Disney would send you an email warning you, saying something like "You have been reported of rude/mean behavior on your pirate _________. Continue rude behavior and you may be banned. This is your first out of 2 warnings. On the third you will be banned.

If you violate it again they will send another email saying: "This is the second time that you have been reported for rude/mean behavior on your pirate ____________. This is your final warning. Continue rude behavior and you will be suspended.

On the third warning you will be sent an email saying that you were suspended for bad behavior. Perhaps they can clear your record of minor violations ever 6 months or something. But I like this idea for people that I think are being rude, but not worth banning.

For this idea, would they read over the ban and review it? Or will it be auto-ban? Can't wait to see a million pirates get false-banned...

I have to agree... I see more rudeness then ever before.

When I first started playing people seemed to help out more and were nicer then what they are now.

Just the other day I went on a quite server to defeat Dark and a a few people were there from a particular guild and they called me and my friend rude because we went there and apparently we were stealing the rep... After a few words were exchanged someone told me I was very unattractive and, well I had to actually laugh and I said you mean my avatar? rofl... I mean you have to go as low as to tell someones 'pirate" they are ugly? * rolls eyes*

Spying and in game stalking is also rude behaviour . I encourage people to report it by going on live chat after reporting it first in game, as harassment.

Red Nations 09-30-2010 07:35 AM

I would like to see a feature added to the in game report a player function. Not all forms of rude or abusive behavior show up on a chatlog. As I understand it the Moderaters rely almost entirely on chatlog records as evidence of abuse. Let me give an example of such abuse and moderaters my intention is not to break any site rules with vulger discussion and I will attempt to keep this as clean as possible in my description of such abuse I've seen recently in game.

I have seen some vulgar and disturbing behavior by what I would view as pervs in game players who warrent a permanent ban for their behavior. These individuals I speak of have learned that by not using the chat features they become nearly immune from moderater actions unless the moderater happens to stop by and discuss the situation in game with the person filing the report. I've not seen this happen recently.

One example and this guy did use chat, don't know if he was banned but I do know that he was reported. This guy used the shrinking potion he was then running around a crowded beach running between the legs of female avatars pretending to look up their skirts and shouting "What a great View he had"

Again Moderaters No offense intended this is the only way I could describe these examples of vulgar behavior that are occuring in game.

Darkhart seems to bring out the worst in people. Long time ago I was at Darkhart with a couple guildies when these teeny level 6 basics pop in. Basic or unlimited no level 6 has any business on PDF much less at Darkhart. Yet sure enough they start to try an wail on him. We politely tell the girls they aren't big enough, and we aren't reviving. They of course go down like rocks. When they use local chat to TP back to my friend and start again!! For more than a half hour these girls get ticked at us for not reviving or healing them. Seriously?

Well, I'm sorry but at that point I'm most likely to hit Darkhart, then when the too little player starts, back off an heal myself, an let Darkhart kill em. If you're in single digits back beach is WAY beyond you. :P

swordshot 09-30-2010 11:55 AM

i think it be there knocked out and noone it reviving them and theres like 10 crew mate :D

Chimera Doll 09-30-2010 01:48 PM

Aye I agree with JM, Darkhart brings out the worse in players. There always seems to be a problem at Darkhart. And I think there should be a new way to report players for they are getting ruder and ruder. :/

Tiberius Fireskull 10-01-2010 01:24 AM

Red Nations, I have seen a lot of that too... there are many rude players, but also I have seen a few cases of perverts in game... not all of them male so you know. Its really shocking, considering there are many children who dont erm, know about that stuff yet, if you know what I'm trying to say. Darkhart does bring in the worst in players... it really bugs me when people who are too low level to be in an area go there, I see a lot of that in tormenta. I usually will revive once, telling them that they shouldnt be here. After that, its their job not to die.

william kid 10-01-2010 01:50 AM

I think the revive feature while a good thing as a whole has some very bad effects. The lower levels now can get revived in areas they don't belong ( this is not my feelings its the way the game and for that matter all games of this sort are designed. Lower level baddies for start up and you work your way up to the big baddies as your skills and health dictate ) so instead of a quick trip to jail and a long trip back they can now sit there and ask (demand ) to be revived. They never learn to avoid death as its no longer holds the sting it once did. It is problem when you are fighting in high level areas and in guilds with lower level guild mates screaming over chat to "HURRY I'M KNOCKED OUT" and then getting mad when people don't drop what they are doing and hurry to the rescue.

This is of course just one area of the game that as a whole has lost the nice people it once had. I guess I'm not as helpfull as I once was as this kind of action had jaded my views. So in some aspect I have become part of the problem.

I always find Abassa darkhart is always telling me that I have to use cutlass while flipping a coin and wearing a red shirt but only if I'm eating a Twinkie. Can't I just level pistol?

Tiberius Fireskull 10-01-2010 03:18 AM
