It's been a little crazy in my neck of the woods this week (or should I say my neck of the flood waters...), not sure how my connection is going to hold over the next few days. Things are going out every other minute around here.

Alrighty, since no one has stepped up with glows on the horizon, tonight is Help A Baby Pirate Night. ;)

Those with wee ones in need can team with bigger pirates to get help with leveling or quests. No need to sign up here, we can hook up in game. I'd like to be one of the little ones tonight, I've got three that still have yet to do the Casa de Muertos Quest...but if we're short big pirates, I can always switch ;)

Also, anyone close to level 15 sailing and in need of a war ship fund, let us know. I for one have buckets of gold to offer up to anyone who needs.

Thanks for all of this Guild mates. Wish i could stay on more during guild night, but its one of those "on for an hour and then back late late late" nights. So if anyone needs help from a L23-24 (Rachael and Zhora) late at night into the wee hours i will be on longer then. Can get my big-ger girl (if needed, Ji is L34 almost 35) as well at that time.

Will be around for a bit during guild night, from about 7:45-9:30 or so central ... miss the guild nights since getting here and getting to work ...

On another note, hope the flooding is subsiding for those of you in the southeast and that all is well ... its been sad watching the stories on the news.

I got Freddie's Cuba TP quest done and glowed him on all weapons (Cutlass, Pistol, Doll, Dagger) up a level and notoriety to 15. Woo! Other than that, I may have used up Blue's tonic collection getting revived. haha

Loi managed to complete all of the CM quest that her tiny self was allowed, and working with double rep still, managed to eek out two levels on not, cutlass, pistol, dagger and doll. Guess I had my own little glow fest...Thanks for the help Travis!!

With help from Blue, and Freddie hanging around getting knocked out, Tappa glowed for not 19 and got 3/4 of the way to 20, leveled doll twice, cutlass, pistol, and dagger once, and got all the way to the ship portion of the skellie infestation before the coffee wore off and I had to go to bed.

Well, I've got nothing going on but weapons grinding. Anyone have a BB or glow-fest for tonight? I know Rach needs some help with the Skelli Infestation quest, the ship part...perhaps an all out plunder party to welcome Basil back from his broken puter hiatus?

Sorry I missed yesterday's all day thing. Work, kids' after dinner activities, and more work kept me away all day and evening. Hopefully once we actually get into a more settled state, we'll be attending guild night again. Well, will have to actually log into the game first. lol.. Haven't been on for about 2 weeks so far. I don't think pirate withdrawal is a good thing, no?

Not only all the stuff Kat has posted about yesterday. But DxD shows DW as the #1 ship sinking guild yesterday, too. Usually, DxD is a day behind for guild totals, but today the count matches the individual totals, and has us as #1. 2503 ships.

Nice going for only getting 21 people involved.


Also, Grats to Max for #23 in enemies defeated. 1222 yesterday!

Now, to answer your question Kat,

If you shoot an enemy ship with broadsides, and you kill the captain before sinking the ship, you get credit for an enemy defeated. So, usually, if you do nothing but sail on a particualr day, you will get credit for enemies, even tho you didn't use any of the normal "Land" weapons.

Ya but I checked and both you and I have more land kills than ships sunk. Dunno about you but I didn't touch a land based guy.

I didnt either but had more enemies defeated than ships sunk also! LOL

lol.. I tell ya...even tho we sail solo, they probably have a crew.

Guild night, Wednesday November 4.

I was thinking that there are quite a few people with pirates in their high 20's and low 30's, and some even smaller. A lot of us who are well in the 40's level have been working on our own levelling.

The smaller ones have been joining in on our Tormenta raids, but really don't belong there and don't get much rep other than doll.

So, I propose that next week be a guild help night. I plan to take Basil to the top of King's Head and anyone who wants to join there can have at the Merc's. They tend to be the right level for the high 20 to high 30 crowd. And, I'll be healing, of course. Others may lend out their warships, or help with the Skeleton infestation, Doll, Nades, or Staff quests. Or what ever else anyone needs.

Of course, we will end up on a Plunder Party! We always do on a night like this.

Sounds good to me!! Maybe I will break out one of my other girls that night we will see :)

I'm in Basil, I will assist as needed, on land or sea, whoever needs help leveling up or for questing.

I know we aren't a PVP type of guild, and most of us have only been in PvP less than a handful of times, But I propose a PvP one-on-one tournament for Wednesday.

I was going to run it as double elimination, but have decided on sinle elimination for this first time. If we have a good time, we can plan another one with the double elimination format.

Basically, y'all sign up and I'll pull names from a hat. I'll run the bracket and assign the seeds at random for the first round, then we just follow the bracket to completion. Lose, and you are out of the tournament, win, and you continue. Until there are onyl 2 people left and one of them wins.

If you want in, just post a pirate name here in the thread.

Here's how it will work.

We will be using either the guild main server or the backup, whichever is less crowded.

I have printed out Tournament bracket forms for a single elimination tourney. The people who are going to participate will be seeded by me drawing names from the list at random. I will call out the names of two pirates, and they will go to PvP one-on-one. Once they are gone, I will call out two more names. This should ensure that the right 2 people go each time.

When you finish the PvP match, tell me who won. That person moves on to the next challenge. The loser is out. (Single elimination.)

I will follow the standard bracketing list until there are only 2 people left.. They will challenge each other and there will be a winner.

We have never done this before, so don't yell at me if it doesn't work. I have bracket lists for anywhere from 8 to 64 pirates, so we should be covered no matter how many participate.

Sounds like fun Basil, but I have to work, unless I catch a break I can't be on until after 10pm EST.

Okay - sounds like none of us are much on PvP, but can we establish some things up front? Like are any and all weapons allowed? Jumping? Any no-no's? I just don't want to do something wrong out of ignorance.

OK, Rules for the actual PvP.

Feet have to stay planted on the ground!

Weapons, all weapons are eligible, but each pirate is only allowed to use 2 diffrerent weapons per battle.

eg.
TK and Sarah go to PvP. TK starts with nades for disrance, and switches to Cutlass for inclose. Sarah runs, TK can go back to nades, but cannot use staff, since that would be her third weapon.

Now, assume that TK wins and goes on to fight Char in round 2. TK can use any two weapons, since it's a new opponent.

Not sure what my new work schedule is. I will find out tonight & let you know.

Ok I have a question... There is a glitch where sometimes you cant see yourself, are we allowed to kill ourselves with seige/ desolation to fix it, or do we just fight blind? For those who dont know this glitch, sometimes when you go into pvp you cant see yourself, like you are looking through your pirates eyes, once you die it goes back to normal. TK :degen:
