I play.
My friend hosts a server, so I play a lot of Mulitplayer.

Hey Swash, been looking around on the server you gave me the IP for... found your giant block of TNT and a few other things... Great work! the best I've managed on the server is a log cabin on the top of a mountain just outside of town... nothing to look at just a place to store my stuff.. gotta get more stuff. Oh btw is there a way to take screenshots in MC?

"F2" is take screenshot. "Fn" and "F2" if your on a Mac. "F1" will clear your screen so screenshots can be clearer. If you need any supplies on that server me and Chainsaw5902 might give you some.

only supplies I REALLY need is some planks (lots of the really) anyway I figured out taking screens.. where do I find them on the computer? is it in a file like the POTCO screenshots? or what?

To find the screenshots your going to have to press the start button then type in %appdata% in the run (or search if you have windows 7) then roaming, minecraft, screenshots and you should see them

When I made a new world, I accidentally filled my world with glowstone all the way to the edgelands, so i had to delete the world. Luckily it was a new world so it wasn't a big deal.

Swash, your server is never on for me... The IP starts with 7, yes?

Swash has a server? :o I'd like to see that. I've been looking for a good server forever and all I've been able to find is abandoned servers that have been griefed.

It's too bad people don't know how to protect their servers. Seeing these great structures being destroyed in a matter of minutes by griefers is very upsetting to see.

I have a server, but I never start it up because of lag. I do although play on a server that has a nice community. If you want the IP, I'll pm it to you.

I really need some advice here on a project I've been working on.

I'm trying to build an underground city and I was lucky enough to find a huge cave system and as of right now I've got about a third of it all the way to the bed rock. I'm not too worried about connecting the rest of the mines to make one big cube but here's where I'm starting to get worried. I want to build it tall, essentially tall enough so that the top will actually start to fade away in the fog so that I could put black blocks on the ceiling to make it look pitch black. I've gone from bed rock to the tallest mine and that's only about 32 blocks tall. What's a fast way to clear out an area of about 200 by 500 from the surface without spending a good hundred hours? I've already fallen to my death a good four times, too.

P.S. If you're wondering how many diamonds I've found in this mine, it's about 50 in just the past week.

If you're staying vanilla, a ton of TNT.

If not, MCEdit is a great tool.

There isn't any way to get through that many blocks without digging it out yourself. If your interested in using mods, get Single player commands and just select 2 points and replace all the blocks in between to air. If your going to be doing this legit, TNT is the only viable solution. If your short on gunpowder, you might want to consider making a mob trap so you can get a good amount of it.
