Deuces Wild on Test

With the new “open Access” to test arriving, I suppose we need to discuss how Deuces (yeah, spelled correctly) runs on the Test Server.

Test is a whole different ball of wax. We don’t have plunder parties, guild nights, pushing contests (well, Kelly does ;)), or any other normal guild activities that we do on the open servers. We’re there to test, find and report bugs, and hopefully be heard before anything hits open. Don’t get me wrong, we still chat up a storm (where I find the most bugs usually….) and have some fun, but we’re a bit more “serious” there. A Bit :)

We’re not looking to be a huge guild on test either. The only reason I started a Deuces Guild on test was to have an easy way to hook up with my Dueces Buds from open. It’s hard to be on test alone, there are a lot of things that can’t be tested by yourself, having some fellow Deuces there is a plus.

If you would like to join us on test, here are a few simple guidelines:

1) We still don’t TP without asking, unless of course there is some chat bug that won’t allow you to ask first…this happens a lot. So, if you are on the receiving end of a random TP, please consider it may not have been possible to ask first.

2) If you need help with a quest, have a question about a bug you may have found, or need a fellow guildie to be your guinea pig for something, Shout Out in Guild Chat! We’re still here to help each other as much as we can. Trust me; you won’t be a bother on test if you ask for help. We’re not there to level or hit a leader board, so anything you need, speak up. And of course, if you have time to be someone else’s guinea pig, announce your availability in guild chat as well.

3) Maturity and Respect are still requirements.

We seem to be getting bigger on test than I thought. Not sure if D is going to let everyone that got the open free for all invite stay, but if so, we have some guidelines to add.

4) Just as in the open server guild, everyone is on a 30 day trial period.

5) Take any problems with another member to an officer, not to Disney. Anyone found reporting another guildie to D will be immediately removed from the guild.

Last point to bring up: We do not know how long this "open accounts on test" thing is going to last, and we don't know Disneys intent for who, if any, will be invited to stay, so:

If you join the Deuces Wild guild in test, and later Disney removes your access, please post, PM, or otherwise let us know, so that we can delete the dead pirates from the guild.

Im on test occasionally, created a new one just recently with the opening of test.
I use just "Zeppers" as my name on test (dont know if they'll approve it again though).

I already joined a test guild though "Brat Pack" (a group of prior testers).

I go on test when I have time to actually test things out...so...sporaticly. If anyone wants to get together to try things out, shoot a PM or post here. We don't plan events there, but if anyone wants to try to hook up at certain times, we can give it a go. Didn't realize there would be so many of us to get in....hehehe

Suggestion.

Since we have a regular guild night ingame, Tuesdays, how about a regular test guild night, maybe Monday or Thursday?

Not necessarily guild events, but more like a way to work, test, and level together. Compare notes, etc. Would also be a way to have multiple people post the same bug reports, the more people report a bug, the more attention it will get. (At least, that's the philosophy.)

It would also keep us all active on test, so that no one gets booted due to inactivity.

Voice an opinion on this.

I can't guarantee that I can make EVERY Thursday, but I can agree to making Thursday Test Guild night.

Again, not activities like we have in regular guild, more like what Kelly posted.

But I guess the final say belongs to Sarah, She's the GM, and will have to find ways to keep the rest of us amused! (LOL)

I only hope that Disney let's everyone stay on test, and doesn't boot all the newcomers after some period of time.

Probably Should set a time. I'm EST, so around eight or nine pm works for me.

Submitted several bug reports today.....then we sunk after boarding an EITC Flag right after we killed all the soldiers on board. Then we we floating in mid air...don't you love that one?

Hey Hey Testing Deuces!

This Thurs, we're going to have our first attempt at a Guild Test Night. I'd like to start with something that we need a group of pirates working together in order to test it. Now that means Sailing, SvS or PvP....the later two I dispise. However, i'm willing to put aside my self imposed "NO SvS/PvP Code" in order to help out ;)

I can usually be on about 8:30 EST

If anyone else needs or wants to work on something, post away!

This Thursday, SvS testing sounds great for me. Crew issues are enormous, so it might take a while.

At some point, I'd like to test REPORTING on TEST. That is, I want to periodically check it to see if the reporting mechanisms change. I guess that needs to be done only with a separate, non-affiliated Edward Edge? (Only have a few that are expendable.) I think I'll keep those tests on hold for a while...

Seems like we're leaning towards some sort of ship adventure, be it SvS (*shudder) or regular sailing. Either way, I'll be on around 8 or 8:30 eastern, we can meet up and decide.

Well, not really sure how smoothly last night went for everyone. I myself ws a little confused...not hard to do, but, eh.

Perhaps for next week we should be a little more specific beforehand. May I suggest we make a list of one or two things we want to test, ans spell out HOW we plan on testing it. It was a little frustrating last night trying to get everyone on the same page.

Just tossing that out there.

aye sarah i dont think my lvl 2 cannon was doing much damage....lol...what were we tryin to do anyway.....blinded by rum miss the screen shot but i was lyin on the deck several time from cannon fire....lol

Not sure how long I'll be on tonight. The germ factory sent a massive delivery to my house and dumped it's load in my sinuses. (well, that's a pretty visual...) SO, what I'd like to work on is just some mindless questing. If anyone wants to work on something a litle more involved, please do, but I don't think my head will handle it, and I don't want to hold anyone back.

Excellent idea. I have a War Galleon to use as well. I finally got my sailing level to 18, but my cannons are only at 14. So if anyone needs sailing rep, no problem.

Hey, I'd like to join the Deuces on Test, even though I'm not a member on Open. If you want me to though, I guess I could join on Open with the namesake. So...

Oh, and the name on test with whom I'd like to join would be Timothy Dartan (should it go through), like the gypsy boss. I should be stuck on Port Royal with him for a while, so yeah.

When is the next one?

TEST guild night seems to be Thursdays, 6PM central time. I had too many connection issues yesterday.

Guilded another pirate for Deuced on Test.... His name is French John.. Asked in game and was vetted. Just a heads up.

Didn't know if our alias list included Pirates who only have a toon in the Test Guild.
