March Mod Hunt Contest

Well, it seems the mods on the site (you will be meeting them over the next few weeks) have gotten themselves into a heap of trouble and only you can help them. And the bounty.............well, unfortunately it ain't doubloons http://www.piratesonlineforums.com/g...LogMarch12.png The mods will be in game Saturday March 28th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM CST (that do be: Eastern 6:00 - 8:00 PM Central 5:00 - 7:00PM Mountain 4:00 - 6:00 PM Pacific 3:00 - 5:00 PM UK 10:00 PM - 12:00 AM) There will be clues scattered throughout this thread to help you find where they are hiding (including which server). All you have to do is figure out the clue :laughks2: Then be in game at the right time. Once you find them: say the phrase found in the log and keep track of what they respond. As soon as the time is up - PM the list of who said what (and where they were) to me. The unfindable MOD!
MiniMods are harder to find than Regular or Super mods! And, No Tutu's to give us away, so we blend in better! |

Well, now that ye can see where they be, I reccomend this.
-Do not look to see where they are at. -Do not TP to them, then they won't count! or even better, just delete them from your list for the contest. I'm sure they'd be more than glad to take you back after it's over. I will say I'll be taking anyone I know off mine before the contest begins just to make sure no one tries anything sneaky. :dancetl6: |

2 questions.. is this a guild event or is it for anyone on the forums? Also, how do we know the pirate names of the Mods.. i haven't been on here for very long so i still don't know everyone yet =)

This sounds so cool. I'm just hoping that nothing between 6pm-8pm EST is in my way to prevent me in finding the mods. Watch out mods!! there are ghosts all over the place! haha.

Sigh... Aye mateys, this curse be quite a blow to this pirates ego.
Having fought time and time again against Jolly Rogers minions... Being one of them is not an idea soothing to me soul... I hope ye find me mateys.. as Im just an old grouchy drunken pirate master. Not deservin in this curse I be. True to me colors I be, the colors O a pirate, so please... Hoist the colors... the image of Jolly himself.. which puts fear in the hearts of those EITC and Navy swine! Hoist them high and Jolly shall shudder seeing ye all set out agin him as he plans to unleash his foul black magic. Help save me and the other mods from our cursed fate. Couple of items:
1) I have over 50 people on my friends list, Rather than me deleting everyone, how about anyone who has me as a friend, delete me. It won't hurt my feelings, and we can refriend after the hunt is over. "BASIL DREADFLINT" 2) The compass does give you the colored dots when you are near a "friendly" pirate - so you can shut it off if you don't want to delete the friend. The two hour window is more than adequate to find us, or enough of us to get to ten and I promise I won't go changing my clothes, hair, tats, or total appearance (Although I am a pirate!) You still won't find me! |

I can't read cursive very good so would you mind translating those words? Sorry, it must be my eye site or something because I just can't seem to read it. |

The mod tells you something, and your supposed to make a list of all the mods you fnid. and then PM it.

Now do they stay put so people can find them or is it only the first person who finds them that gets to consider them found.. if that makes sense lol

Again, I can hardly read cursive.
I'm having a hard time seeing which letter is which.(ex. Is that a b or an l?) Is there any way to see the writings without it being in cursive so the few(me) who can't read it can see? |

Probably one of me best fighters, no doubt. One thing tends to be an issue though... She gets so distracted by shiny things, even the glare from the sun off a blade, she just can't concentrate! I expect this little note should help ye find her... From Jezzi: It might be easier trimming curtains with shears, But it's much more fun with what you get here |

But mini-mods are still harder to find than regular mods, cause they are mini. And supermods stick out like sore thumbs, thanks to the cape and super tutu's. But I think the hardest to find is going to be the Admins. They have all those Admin powers, and are almost invisible. |

She always has to get some when we dock, be it in a bag, a jar or a rum bottle (We could refill those with something important, too, like rum). Speaking of Rum, I do recall her mumbling about it the other night. Must of been from rum withdrawl since we cut her supply off after she emptied a rum barrel to fill it with Padres Del Fuego dirt. Its nothing personal, he just doen't like to sail forwards very much. Not sure how he be doin' it, must be some voodoo hoodoo, but everytime he gets ahold of the wheel we end up going backwards! Guess he's just trying to get to his "antarticia" place to see these "penguin" things. I remember one time I found this message in a bottle, when he sailed right into an island: From Sven: Oh so alone in this place, I'd be forced to do chores; Least free from the stench o'crab meat Engulfing the shores |

Went to my hiding spot today. Stayed there for a while. Not only did no one else see me, but even I couldn't find myself! I also couldn't find any of the other mods! OH Yeah, they weren't there!

Not sure why she thought the people of Singapore needed ninjas anyways - last ninja stunt she pulled sent her overboard, this is all we know... From Maggie: I may be a study in gluttony and vice, flying these colors just to add spice. After a day of greed and plunder, I like me ale and its no wonder! |

I guess the thing I always found interesting about Max is that he always did love his rum. Not the reqular love for the stuff either. When we be setting out to sea you can always expect him to be "getting his rum for the trip", when in reality he's just drinking it all. Max: But where has the rum gone? |

So many places to hide ... so many of us to find. Wonder how many brave souls can rescue us all!
Anyway, I wouldn't really say this is like a Founders Event - as any of you who are members at ToontownCentral would know, we've been doing the Mod Hunt there for a while now. It's always been popular and is something we enjoy doing too. It's a lot of fun and a great way to meet some of you ingame. Shame we can't have a rumfest on POTCO ... guess we'll have to be content with a Beanfest on Toontown! ;) |
Cant wait to do this. Been talking about it for nearly a year.
