GM EITC Black Guards in POTCO???
 

I was just in the game and saw two GMs dressed as EITC Black Guard!!!!! They were running through Port Royal - I chased after them to get a screen shot but the tp'ed away before I could... has anyone else seen them?

I wonder what it means?

I haven't seen them but I have seen screenshots. It probably has something to do with.... well i'm not gonna say since i'm not entirely sure if its even gonna happen soon.

It means that this is clearly a very awesome game, if what you say is true. Can't say much beyond that, because like Sven said... not entirely sure this will happen.

I'm not at liberty to discuss. It was only brought up once by devs, and never really confirmed, like the kraken is. If someone else spills, then i'll discuss it, but I don't know enough to really explain it.

There's no reason not to tell everyone. I don't see how waiting for someone else to tell would be any different if they thought the same thing.

If anyone has any screenshots or info please tell, I'm sure everyone here wants to know.

Common Zeke you won't be spilling the beans. You would be making a great contribution to your fellow pirates. The same pirates that hold you in such high regard. You would be informing us of what might come. I urge you old friend, tell us of your findings like many before you. If its nothing more a rumor, then consider it an entertaining rumor, such as the rumor of the Octopus Mother... The Mother Kraken.

I predict and not really sure just by reading what's going on...that we will be able to become a new class of pirate....instead of pirate maybe can be EITC now or Navy personel...ooohhh that would make PVP more fun!

Anyways... So... are we going to get the chance of disguises or are we getting the chance of playing the opposite side. Because... Honestly I can see myself as a bad guy in sounds like fun to me. Perhaps a new story line or rather alternate.

Hmm... Now I am going to search the Caribbean for these EITC GM's..... Maybe they will speak!!

I spoke to a friend last night that actually ran into them - she siad they were asking if she had seen Captain Walter of the marceline guild - and that they had an warrant for his arrest (!) - the EITC Captain Shaw said they are looking for memebers of the marceline guild and other founders that helped attack EITC ships - they are looking to throw them in jail and hang captain walter for crimes against the EITC! It sounds like whatever they're up to is going to cause some drama! Anybody seen Captain Walter in the game lately?

So, it looks like we will be able to play as EITC or Navy.

Well, now that it's kinda in the open, I will divulge my theory. (And btw, TSC played my ego card, I couldn't resist)

Ok, so when the game came out, the FAQ page had this thing on navy uniforms. I believe this is a hint towards that, where we could join the EITC/Navy.

The devs did mention somewhere that they were trying to make a quest where you would have to steal a navy uniform to make your way into a heavily guarded fort.
They also mentioned that we'd never be able to be the enemy. I don't remember where, the player Q and A I think.

I bet this does have something to do with a PVP game. Maybe a Cops and robbers sort of thing. One side is EITC the other pirates. But I guess we won't know until they tell us...


Commodore, you are right but they weren't hinting at becoming a navy. They really don't want us to be the enemy.

Ive seen Walter in the pass few days, All he said tho was the EITC were planning an all out attack on us pirates.

Perhaps a new quest line, or just a special quest, or even a limited time quest. Personally I have no interest in PvP, so I hope it's nothing linked to that. All the NPCs keep mentioning the EITC planning something, so that must be linked to this in some way.

Guess we just have to wait and see. Gawd, if it's anything like Toontown, they will hint at things to come for months and drag it out for a LOOOONG time.

Hmm... quite the food for thought.

My list of possibles:

1.) It is going to lead into the chapter 2 story quest, some thing to do with Davey Jones being controlled by the EITC trying to obtain his heart.

2.) It is some sort of an event to make higher levels stop begging for updates for a few days.

3.) Some of the developers were just bored and decided to screw around lol.

I find it odd there is nothing about this on the site, at least I have yet to find any thing pertaining to it. Hopefully Big-D will shed a little light on things this weekend.

Well, by comparing your images with those in the first page they don't look even close. However I do see your point and the possibility of dressing a pirate in the colors and patterns of the EITC. But, they were GMs thats what doesn't quite add. Unless you know something we ignore? You did brought up that important point. Are they just messing around with all of us?

I thiink Kingshead is next for redesign but the EITC cant destroy it so GMs do it to get revenge for destroying other islands

Mounting an offense against Kingshead makes perfect sense. And if could fit into Chapter 2..

Think of this - the pirate player liberates the Black Pearl, but Jack Sparrow is grabbed and tossed into the jail deep inside Kingshead.

The boss mission - BREAK SPARROW FREE!

It fits, its simple and brilliant - which means THEY WON'T TAKE MY ADVICE!!

Ok here is another ridiculous idea to add to the pile...

When you hit level 40 note. a quest line opens up. You have to visit some random NPC where they tell you some lame story and give you a choice to quest for the EITC or NAVY uniform. Its a long quest similar to Pirate Lore with long runs of tasks for parts of the uniform. In the end you get all but the hat from the quest. You have to purchase the hat for the uniform from one of the tailors for 65,000 each. Once you have the complete set you can dress in it and the enemies on that side no longer attack you. Likewise the ships no longer attack you at sea. You then proceed to attack the enemies and sink the ships of the opposing side. This earns you additional notoriety reps and pushes your note cap +5. By adding two quests you complete the note cap raise to 50 (+5 for EITC and +5 for Navy). You also can purchase new ships from the list for that side ie. when I dress as EITC I can sail a Corsair, Behemoth or Juggernaut... Players who have purchased the opposing sides ships can attack you just as if you were any other ship and visa verse earning reps in the same fashion you earn reps on any other ship, and this would not be limited to the SVS area. No matter what, you can't sink a pirates ship so this will not interfere with the lower level pirates game play. They can't attack, sink or be sunk by the role play pirates... It resolves many of the issues of lack of content, it addresses the clothing we have seen and its a logical extension of the SVS which seems like its nothing more then a running test to me as it is. IF you are not mastered you can't participate, can't interact and can't be affected by the role play pirates.. They can use the same servers and interact with players just not damage them in any way. This way many of the mastered pirates will re appear in game and think of what a great in game add all of those mastered pirates will be wearing their new garb and fighting new battles. The little pirates will all scramble to master asap. This also addresses the problem of what to do once you master and your weapons still are not mastered. The remaining quests will burn those up fast ensuring total mastering by note cap 50.

Like I said this sounds ridiculous!

OK, so I just logged on dxd and the EITC guards are showing up as EITC guards, not pirates. Maybe a disconnect with dxd?

Well I don't know about any of you, but the idea of having an EITC character sounds like fun. It has the potential of making things a bit interesting.

Winston Piper is the only one on DXD that is still in pirate clothes the rest are now in EITC garb.

The Captain plucked me limp corps from a floating linkin log when I was 1.65 years old...
He saved me from sure death in the Caribbean after my Parents ship was attacked by a floating boss stump.
(the stump got washed out to Sea when a typhoon hit Outcast Island)

I wish we could buy those cloths or steal them from the EITC. I'd like to see a quest where we can get their uniforms and be disguised around them.

I tried to kill one but he got away even if they are in Black Guard Uniform u cant kill them

What servers have these EITC been seen on? I've been lookin, might need to be pointed in the right direction. (or atleast A direction)

It's probably just part of some upcoming event. Your best bet is to wait.

Amazing!, I guess we will have these EITC guards coming soon in the game!...I cant wait to see them...but they will be interrogating...hope we can fight them too lol.

The number of guards have grown since then.

Also seems they added a few nooby pirates to their clan as well :laughks2:.

Also, for all of you who use player pages, be sure to look up "Marceline" in the guild directory. Disney made it a little to easy to see the guilds, though you can't see their events that they have planned :SkullBullet1:.

There was an event a week ago where you could join the black guard and the EITC (They were gms dressed as them)

You couldn't "join" them.

It was just one guy controlling a bunch of pirates at once, saying things in GM speak. Seems more like a stage show if you ask me.

Well I know that I saw someone who was a gm for the event dressed like a back gaurd but something was strange. Someone I saw was a level 12? Arent the GM's for most of these events usually up there with the level 20's and 40's? Oh and the beans have also been spilled some time ago about the EITC pirates spy thing. That was said during the Mardi Gras day carnival. So.........
Yeah it has been stated before. By POTCO at that. They said something along the lines of, We are celebrating Mardi Gras every day leading up to fat tuesday. Although, there might be spies about mate take care. Thats not entirely exactly what they said but the meaning of the sentences are the same. So yeah to make a long story short we might be able to become an EITC spy sooner or later. And I think that might be true now, because one of the host GM's I saw was a level 12 or something like that dont you think thats strange?

Well even in-game they led up to it (response to two posts up). All sorts of npcs would say all sorts of things. The ones on the French and Spanish island said as much.
