Hi everyone, I have been informed by POTC Live Chat that the POTC billing system is down and Unlimted Access is unavalaible right now, those on unlimited access will be on Basic access until the maintaince to the system is completed.

Well they had unlimited access special,
Lets think of this as a limited special. lol

does this apply to game cards?

Wierd how it breaks the same day I need to renue my membership.

It must be fixed cause Im unlimited and just logged in.

Been seeing some reports that some of the other Disney game sites are having problems too.

I was able to play earlier - sure hope I can play later.

It is only every other time so if basic at first just try again not too big a deal til they fix it.

i was worry about that cuz i was a founder and i was asking if they would put founders back?

Well, I'm having all sorts of problems tonight. Took 7 or 8 login attempts, just to get to select my pirate. Played fine for awhile, then got booted. Relogin - Basic access only. Try again, Basic and now Low res. Reboot puter and login, can't find my pirates. Each time I try, it gets worse. I'm afraid to try again, might not even get the launcher to run.( Kidding bout the launcher, but everything else is messed up.)

Now thats strange, ive logged in several times in the last hour just to test it.
Ive been unlimited every single time, not a single problem.

Nothing should be wrong with the founder status. I hope.... That would wipe out most of the founder population.

When founders go limited they keep their founder status...ask lady chris. Some of hers went limited a while back, they are back to unlimted and are still founders.

Well chris, that awnsers that problem.

Well i expect a refund! I did some math and figure out that is i payed $80 for a year subscription

80/365 = 0.219178 (365 days in a year)
0 .219178/24 = 0.009132 (24 hours in a day)
I have been im guessing 3 hours without member ship so Disney currently needs to refund me = 0.027396 Dollars.

Well I give them until tomorrow to fix this out by then they would owe me 22 cents and if it isnt fixed I sue them for fraud.

With that math logic, I think we should be charged by minute, aka, instead of 365 days, you should have 8,760 hours of game play, so there's no game time wasted while you sleep, or go out, or any of that nonsense. So that 80$ equates to about $0.0031684028 every minute. Not a bad deal! ;).

Well, as someone who is still working towards financial stability, it is easier for me to get unlimited access through game cards - and at 90 days for $25, Disney owes me 15 cents per hour, lol.

I haven't had any problem after several logons. I did here every car made in the last 3 years will only start every other time. BUMMER I suggest a petition.

I was not able to log in earlier. Then when I was able to login, I was only basic! I logged in like 5 times and got basic every time!! Then time for me to go to work and when I got off they are doing maintenance! Grrr ruin my pirate game time the whole day!

P/s. What is founder status?

Founders are Gold Names you see in the Game and have been with the game since the beginning or before December 2nd 2007 :)

Ok. Here is the deal. Tried to log into my unlimited account on open this morning. Got the BAD ACCOUNT/ID message. So I logged in with my basic account which is linked to the unlimited, and was able to get into the game. I switched to an unlimited pirate and then changed to Abassa and went to Tortuga. Asked in local what was going on. Found out the bug is worse and that unlimited pirates are still showing up as basic when in the game.

And POTCO website has not posted any information on this bug at all. There is also no info on the log in screen messages.

I think I was one of the first to get it but I called Disney and acutally got an anwser. They were going through a billing update by chunks so they pick a bunch of accounts and make sure they are all unlimited still... I was told to wait a hour and if it wasn't back to normal then to call them.

Ok I got my unlimited back and my founder stats back :) very happy only thing odd was that all my clothes went to my default ones and all my jewelry was off of me but it was in my inventory still :)

I think this answers the question I've been wanting to know for a while.

I guess this means that if you stop paying and go to basic and then start paying again, you'll still have your founders' stats.

Good to hear atleast the billing is getting updated. Can't complain about updates anymore huh.

Now there's just those 22 cents you need to et from the big D ;).

I saw that post a few days ago... can't find it now... basically a player claims that a virus got into her computer and another friend of hers' machine as well. the virus got in through POTCO. Or something along those lines... hopefully a Mod can find it.
