I have no idea but I too am now curious.

I know it's a wall glitch, and dang hard to describe...

The stone wall in the left side of your pic is the way to get up there, but you need to be on the other side of the wall, the side from the hill leading up to the town entrance. Once on top of the wall, you should be able to "slide" thru to the balcony (like sliding behind the bar of a tavern). I've done it once, and was helped by someone pushing me.

Sorry if that's no real help.

There is the market to the left of that picture.
There is search box.
Jump on search box and then keep jumping to the prickly box stuff.
Then there is a little piece of wall out, keep running at it and you will get in and see the way!!!

Being that I am not much of a glitcher (Pauper Pedro is betters than me), I would have to resort to a ladder.....Duh!

my old guild used that up there as one of their secret places lol

I have done this glitch many times and its easy to do, not so easy to describe. Like stated above run at the open (nothing in front of) part of wall from the hill by the docks you should now be standing on the ledge, if it worked, go right along ledge and you will pop into an area with walls all around you, head back the way you came and you should find some stairs you will have to jump to get on them, climb stairs and you are there. I will tell you it was not working for me on test and may be repaired now, if not probably soon. If you would like PM me and I will try to show you in game.

Coming from the dock side near the for does not work now. They have replaced it with man plants.:newsmi4:

I'll even show you! First, fun up the hill a bit from the PR dock, like you are going to run through the arch to the Rowdy Rooster. Stop here.

Jump to get on the stairs. Run up the stairs and you are on the balcony of the Rowdy Rooster.

I happen to know, that with the invasions, they blocked up the entrance.

I wonder why they did that. I saw a couple of pirates today that have managed to get around the 'fixed' version of this glitch, though. I can understand taking away glitches that are hurting other pirates game play (such as the jail invincibility glitch & those darned SVS speeders) but I don't know why they take things like this and the shipwright glitches away. They're not helping anyone get ahead in the game, why not leave them and let us have a little fun? Although they did leave the other balcony glitch across the bridge untouched...odd.

Also, I would like to know why they put stairs back there if they don't want anyone using them...:psmiley35:

I should mention that Aaron's way works just fine...I actually saw a guy in game offering to show people this 'new' glitch in exchange for certain amounts of gold. LOL.

The reason they put stairs there is simply for scenery. However, I agree. Many of these glitches are simply creating secret and hidden areas. These actually increase the amount of fun for players. I know quite a few, you can find me on Andoso, on port royal if you want to learn a few... I'm Solomon Sharkfury. Guild is Oceanus' few, and i'm level 19.

I think that it was a building from old port royal that they could fit at that spot and knowing since they have small numbers they didn't change it but thats just what i think

I know the new way to get in :D I know other glitches too, that no one has found ;)

Regarding why they have the stairs... the stairs were part of the tavern in the old Port Royal. Instead of making a whole new building they just kept it as is.

The pictures showing how to do it explain it better than trying to tell someone how to do it. Good job, Kat!

And while I haven't double checked test, on open you can still get on that ledge easily even with the added vegetation they put in to block it.

Now...I have to ask...

A few weeks back I teleported to a friend and he was up there... So I was too. XD
But I wanna know if the picture-mentioned way still works...

I can still get on the ledge (the one at the height of the upper level near the jewelers) on Port Royal. And on open, yes you can still get to my apartment patio :) via the outside wall (I was able to do it a couple of days ago).

By the way, I've been trying to figure out that Padres del feugo glitch. The one which involves the rock next to the skull's thunder and a hidden tree tunnel... Anyone got pictures?

I've been trying to get up there but I can't seem to do it right. Oh well :)
