PvP Glitch (Its popular again)

The PvP glitch is back in numbers on Abbasa Tortuga.(The one where pirates can fight each other on Tortuga and level sign is red)I remember them from a while back too....But how is it done ,most people tend to keep lips closed or discriptions are vauge. Can anyone explain how it is done?Thank you.:piratear:-DTP and Co.

Captain Seafarer CO. 11-18-2009 11:54 PM

Move this to the glitch forum, the one where you have to become a member and I will tell you.

http://www.piratesonlineforums.com/f...t.php?f=20&a=8

Aaron McEagle 11-19-2009 12:53 AM

Its fairly like the old pvp glitch.
This time however you glitch into the big rock next to the cave.
Jump into the mid air and turn left once out of the arena.
You will see a floating cave.
Once at the cave enterance wait till 1 second left.
Run through cave and press exit match!:jackhat:

Cpt. Charlotte Doyle 11-19-2009 01:53 AM

yes, but that usually results in a never ending load screen. is there a trick, or certain finesse im lacking? or does it only work if both members of the fight go in at once?

Dockwrecker The Privateer 11-19-2009 05:23 PM

Aye, a chap named Jack and I met Captain Doyle on a server and practiced yesterday, we couldn't seem to time into the last second of the last step though.

CarribeanThunder 11-23-2009 11:03 PM

Dockwrecker, Doyle, I could join you guys.

Cpt. Charlotte Doyle 11-23-2009 11:28 PM

of course! just say when. its driving me crazy trying to get the timing

Aaron McEagle 11-23-2009 11:29 PM

Mayhem is harder i think.
Try a team battle.
Just find the exit on compass and look for a spot to glitch to!:piratetongueor4:

Cpt. Charlotte Doyle 11-23-2009 11:38 PM

thanks for the tip aaron!

pvp Glitch tips from The finder

ok usualy i dont post so openly but i made pvp glitch popular again and here you go tips to make sure you get it right:

1st pvp someone crew or meyhem dont matter but glitch in the wall and find a tunnel dont hit the tunnel by mistake lol

then the trick is to get as close as possible to the tan line that is the entrance of the tunnel like toes touching the tan line

also i have a tiny sticker on my screen to help with mouse location

thats where i keep my mouse ready

the trick then is to run in at one second and if you wait to exit the pvp side and start to exit in the blackness right before you would come out to the other side it will break the borders and you will have the pvp glitch with teleporting ability.

if you get the stuck loading screen just click where exit button would be and you will exit anyway not pvp glitched but you can shift on a shipwright and loose the borders then log out thru f7 preventing crash

if by chance you get all the way thru and you have no exit button all you have to do is hit f7 and log immediately before the island disapears and you wont crash.

if i left out anything just send me a message and i will love to help you.

Enjoy!

Not sure if this is true.
I have heard people getting banned for this though.
Is this true?:turkeytalk:

captaindruidblade 11-29-2009 03:21 AM

Pvp Glitch bann

No way is that true lol

Disney does not bann for glitches they only fix them and revert anything gained

only third partys can get you the nix.

Cpt. Charlotte Doyle 11-29-2009 03:27 AM

thanks for shedding some light on this druid!

Capt Seafury 11-29-2009 05:11 AM

I tried doing this right now, but this is what happened instead of the pvp glitch.

At first it looked like it worked, I found a good glitching point on team pvp, and went into the cave with one second left. When it gave me the never-ending loading screen, I just clicked around for the exit button. I got it and this is what happened:
Click the image to view the full version

Just some bars on the top and bottom of the screen like in a movie clip.

EDIT: Now that I look at it, I can see Rose McRage afk pushing Maria Cannonfury (in the far left of the screenshot).
So that's why I ended up in the water after I posted this.

The Skirata Clan 11-29-2009 05:20 AM

Has anyone reported it Rather than exploiting it?

captaindruidblade 11-29-2009 05:59 AM

stuck loading screen

yeah thats a failed attempt you run in on 1 but not to late on 1 or you get stuck loading screen

Cpt. Charlotte Doyle 11-29-2009 06:24 AM

tsc, this one is harmless. there is no way to use this to a player's advantage in rep or in ranking, so why bother reporting it? chances are with the frequency this has been spotted on abassa, it's already been reported. gotta leave some of the good ones, says i...

Nelly Darkpaine 11-29-2009 06:29 AM

I agree... this doesnt seem to be hurting anyone. I actually wish there were several PVP servers, where it was allowed all the time! LOL

Just think, someone steals rep on an open PVP server, its battle to the end!

The Skirata Clan 11-29-2009 07:33 AM

Not to be a pain or anything, but glitches should be reported in order for them to be fixed harmless or not.

Capt Seafury 11-29-2009 07:48 AM

I'm going to disagree with Skirata on this one. I think that the pvp glitch has been reported to Disney enough by people who see it and think people are hacking the game or something. It's not that I don't want them to make PotCO a better game with less bugs, but this is one that goes there with the Kingshead secret second dock. It is a fun, harmless glitch that I'm sure Disney already knows about. Most glitch masters who have done this glitch would not like it if Disney removed it. Glitches they should remove are the ones that give too-easy rep. Glitches that give advantages like that are unfair to the other players. The pvp glitch, however, does not harm anyone. I know that you said id doesn't matter, but it does. I'm sure glitch pirates would not like it if their special hiding place or afk spot is suddenly removed from the game. The pvp glich is fun and harmless, and I'm positive that Disney has been alerted of it by enough people so that we don't have to. If Disney really care about the glitch or really listened to the reports, I'm sure the glitch would already be gone.

captaindruidblade 11-29-2009 08:36 AM

Aggree!!!

omg yes im tired of finding them new pvp glitches i only have 2 more to give after this ones gone so please no fix make it a part of the game like svs

imagine you go to jack or jolly for quests like svs?

the crown goes ahhhh!

land pvp im trying to get people who like pvp glitch to comment about my idea im sure its ran thru disneys head a few times.

but pvp would be booming with land pvp in place

and we would get that undead look back

WOOT

Nelly Darkpaine 11-29-2009 08:49 AM

Like I said - I think PVP servers is the thing to do. What total fun and mayhem! Id love a run at that every day to release stress! LOL

The Skirata Clan 11-29-2009 09:07 AM

Miss Darkpaine that is an idea that has been around for some time now... I agree with you, but needs to be done by levels. A server for levels 1-5 and so on. I still say that glitches good or bad need to be fixed regardless of how fun they are. Improve the game not stall it.

captaindruidblade 11-29-2009 09:46 AM

jeepers

im getting sick someone save me!

Aaron McEagle 11-29-2009 02:27 PM

Instead of glitching send feedback about the pvp glitch AND a pvp server where as soon as you get on your in a pvp on tortuga or such.

THATS the whole point, tsc, by reporting the glitches that arent harming anyone or the leaderboards, we are stalling the game! if disney turns its attentions to fixing these fun little glitches, it turns its attention away from new content. big irritating bugs like quest glitches and so forth are what they should be worried about. not people having fun in a longer than usual pvp.

I sort of disagree on this one. Only problem is people could gang up on you. Maybe a solution is to have a button to challenge a person who isn't already in pvp. And if you wanted to do a team battle crew up with some people and challenge other crew's to do it. But Dishey would have to make sure the crew's were equal.

I agree with you on this one. Like I said in one of my threads, they shouldn't worry about the glitches that won't do anything harmful. So why report it? Disney will read over it and say "Whatever" because its not something they need to fix.

Sorry, but I would have to disagree with that statement.
Any glitch that changes aspects of a player, or the environment they are in, that goes beyond the scope of design (ie glitch). Could potentially be harming the overall gaming environment, memory leaks, etc. This could escalate and be causing issues with almost anything else in the game without what appears to be any direct connection. Windows users for years have noticed that running certain applications on our computer eventually degrade our systems performance requiring a reboot (Potco used to be one of them for sure). Servers and their environments as well are no different. Rogue actions in applications can cause unexpected results, and impact other systems/areas.

The fact they do not provide an advantage to a pirate does not mean they are harmless to the gaming environment.

Reporting all glitchs, and letting Disney decide what needs to be fixed is absolutely the appropriate thing to do. Having been around long enough to see how they address glitchs, reporting glitchs that do no harm are generally left until fixing them is necessary. For example, they left the get off your ship bug forever until people started using it as an advantage in SvS.

Please dont misunderstand me... I love a good fun glitch myself, but when it comes down to it. If you really care about the game and its development, report them, let Disney sort them out.

bartholomew bladeroberts 11-29-2009 10:58 PM

I agree with zep on this one i've seen too many glitches that have no cause to disagree. like KH secret dock it could weaken "the wall" that keeps people on KH and not falling to the Ocean

Aaron McEagle 11-29-2009 11:27 PM

Proof that this hurts game play.
LAG LAG LAG LAG LAG

Angel Seafish 11-30-2009 01:38 AM

Aaron that doesn't cause the lag. Abassa Tortuga is always laggy. And with the founder's feast going on, Abassa and Andaba get pretty laggy. So no, its not just the pvp glitch.

The Skirata Clan 11-30-2009 01:40 AM

Not just, but it is a factor.

Aaron McEagle 11-30-2009 01:41 AM

Though lag can be reduced a ton if you dont have pirates fighting.
You never have over 50 pirates in the same area when you fight.

Capt Seafury 11-30-2009 05:34 AM

I'll admit, the pvp glitch does create lag. It has its down sides, as does everything else. The lag is not entirely the glitch's fault, though. I'm sure if you went on a quiet server like Jamilles, and two people were pvp glitching, there would not be a noticable increase in lag. If you add up the positives and negatives, and think like me, you will find that the pvp glitch is harmless and fun.

captaindruidblade 11-30-2009 09:19 PM

tp and pvp glitch

ok if you wait and run in the tunnel at 1 the loading screen is there
and if you start to exit before the loading screen clears then you have a chance to break the no tp

you will know if it worked when you see the loading screen has disapeared and your guy tps at a wierd angle its like he tps out of the tunnel and those borders will not be there when you get to tortuga you know you can tp

stroz08 12-06-2009 06:47 AM

these glitches are pritty cool but i always get stuck in the loading screen but thanks for th info

Miss Hexsilver 12-06-2009 07:33 AM

It's all about the right timing. 1 second doesn't always work everyone. Try different times, as some people's exit screen takes longer to load because they have slower computers. For me, it works after between 1 second and 0 seconds because my computer is really fast and my pirate ends up on the other end of the tunnel very quickly. So, just adjust it to suit you.

hector wildbones 12-13-2009 09:13 AM

Its easy but pirates put this in here pirates can fix this and it never work again if they wanted to put they think it gets them like more players or something so they put these glitches in it so they get more ppl to buy unlimited access but some ppl get on and think they all big and tuff for doing pvp glitch but its easy find cave blah blah blah and when it turns right when it turns to 1 sec you run in cave but put mouse where exit button pops up if you take to long it wont work but this is a popular glitch but speed glitch they fixed it and they fixed god glitch and if they fix it where you can only be level 50 the ppl over that will lose theyre HP and voodoo and i hope this helps but its easy.

GammaGoblin 02-14-2010 04:57 PM

They fixed the Mayhem one, the NEW Team battle one is a known issue by Disney, as the haters have already reported it. GREAT.

Ham 03-10-2010 12:55 AM

I Think they should bring it back for mayhem, and STOP reporting small and harmless glitches. Before reporting a glitch, think, Is it bad?, Do people like it?, Is it taking advantage of the game?, Has it had any bad affect on me? Those are some of the few things to consider. The pvp glitch, is NOT taking advantage of the game, Is NOT had any bad affect on me(personally), And people DO like it. I have done it myself. It's fun. So, Consider.

Pirate lord 227 03-31-2010 04:23 AM

I am going to agree with TSC here, a small bug can hurt everything. Look at the big inventory glitch, that was (more than likely) a small glitch gone rampant. Anyway, if Disney wants to get rid of it, i'm sure they will, because it only takes one report before they know. If not, it doesn't matter how many people report it, because they have their own opinions on whether it should stay or go.

I couldn't agree more. However, just to add to that..

Disney obviously doesn't want this glitch in the game. How many times has this glitch been fixed, only to be rediscovered by people wanting to find it? That alone proves that the developers themselves do NOT want this.

Plus, as a few posts said, this may not effect a lot directly, but in the end it will effect us all. It may seem fun to do, but ultimately it is going to effect the gaming environment. If Disney wanted us to have PvP in an open environment, such as the main islands, THEY would create PvP servers, not the PLAYER.

I realize this is an old post, but none the less. EVERYONE should report ANY glitches to Disney. ALL glitches are bad (granted, some more than others, but in the end they all damage the gaming environment). It shouldn't matter if people like it, if it was really that important it would be added as a feature of the game, not an abuse of a glitch that always manages to be dug up AFTER being fixed. When playing the game, it shouldn't matter if it affects you, good, or bad. All that matters is, "is this the way Disney intended it to be?".

Even if a player enjoys a glitch, they should help lead to the glitch being fixed. No offense to any who posted, but it's absolutely selfish to not report a glitch just because it's fun. Even glitches that I've enjoyed playing, I've reported at least once. It's not up for us as the player to decide whether something belongs or not, but rather, Disney makes that decision.

Dockwrecker The Privateer 03-31-2010 08:42 PM

Well as far as this goes for being harmless....I heard a guy on Abassa once (Mind you I rarely go to Abassa) and he was telling someone to go tell one of the other 'infamous' Abassa Tortuga PvP fighter that he wanted to face him.And something like we won't crash each other this time.If people can actually crash other people's computers like this than something really bad could happen anytime soon.I have been on Abassa once and suddenly my game froze for a minute when a group of PvPglitchers were fighting neerby.I like some glitches but this one is far to dangerous at this point,if I had a different opinion before then I have certainly reviesed it.

Edward Edgemenace 04-01-2010 12:22 AM

They are talking about crashing each other's GAME not their entire computer. A game crash is caused by killing someone who is in jail. (Had a strange KO on a flagship yesterday and duplicated this exactly.) The second time you go to jail (from within jail) you get an "infinite" jail loading screen and have to restart Pirates of the Caribbean online. That's the only "crash" they are talking about.

combatlizzy 04-01-2010 04:41 PM

This is against Disney rules, mates. And you can be banned for it!! This is one of the reasons that I stopped PVP'ing months ago. What is the fun in PVP'ing if the odds are stacked against ya? Just my 2 cents for what it is worth-but glitching is totally against the rules of the game! Pirates are expected to report glitches-not exploit them. And I am not posting this to put anyone down-just stating fair game play.

Bubba Bunny x 04-01-2010 05:36 PM

I like to glitch in the game as much as the next person, but its never crossed my mind as agaisnt the rules. If it was a glitch that gave unlimited health like the god glitch for example then yes, I would say thats a big no-no and it should be against the rules. Ive had people call me cheaters when the rules clearly state "do not use any programs to enhance game play"!!! I didnt see anything about glitches if Im wrong then correct me now. As for the pvp glitch I do see it as harmless, but I would like it to be fixed because some people take it a little to seriously and I dont like the idea of my game that I pay for being crashed.

Captain Del 04-01-2010 06:16 PM

Alright, might as well throw my opinion in here..

The PvP glitch harms the gaming enviroment, end of discussion. It causes lag, and slowly degrades the preformance of the server. Even on the random times Abassa is Ideal, I STILL notice it runs a little slower than the other Ideal servers. Why? Because the PvP glitch is an exploit in game, possibled a broken code of some sort. It pirates time after time pound away at that one exploit on a specific server, chances are its going to affect the entire server as a whole. A server is like a window, and the PvP glitch is a crack. If players keep pounding at that crack, sooner or later, its going to break the window.

The reason pirates do the PvP glitch seems to be a few reasons.
  • The different enviroment - lets face it, your first or second PvP is kinda mysterious and stuff like that, but after a while, you get sick and tired of staring at that cave.
  • Continued play time - PvP's have a, what, 6 minute timer on them? When doing the PvP glitch, you can keep fighting for hours without having to stop. Its like a never ending battle against your foe, and you aren't pressured by the timer to try something different.
  • Making a name for yourself - The big reason. Pirates like to the glitch out in the open, on a hugely populated server, in the middle of crowds, so that they can "show off." Whether they want to boast their popularity, make their guild's presence known, or degrade their enemies, pirates like to do this for the social aspects.

Now, the only real way to resolve this problem, is not by just fixing it. Because we all know, the master glitchers and PvPers out there are gonna find a way to start it up again. No, Disney can't just fix it, but also shift the action somewhere else. A PvP server, per-say. Of course, a lot of things will have to be set up to prevent mass newbie killing sprees and spawn killers, but at least it will be a way to make pirates not WANT to find exploits.

Now, do ALL glitches have to be fixed? No. Wall glitches that can be used for leveling, invincibility glitches, etc. YES, those need to be fixed. But do glitches like the Empty KH glitch need to be fixed? Not so much.

Angel Stormwalker 04-02-2010 09:16 PM

well i have had ppl have their hard drives crashed after pvp glitch where someone kept crashing them, go firgure

KRAKEN OF THE EAST 04-10-2010 12:58 AM

The glitch does NOT harm the environment. Period. It might cause a small lag, but hey, if you don't like it, go to another server. However i DO like the idea of pvp servers, and i think they should add those. But wanting to get rid of a harmless glitch that doesn't make the game unfair to any other players whatsoever, is ridiculous. It isn't hacking, it isn't harming anyone and it isn't giving the people who use it a higher advantage than the ones who don't. Also, this glitch has never been a nuisance or a struggle for disney. I think that since they haven't fixed it yet, they obviously don't mind it. But if they ever do fix it, it would probably only be because they want a break from the uproar of complaints sent in by noobs with their panties in a wad.

seafox 04-10-2010 01:17 AM

...im gonna throw out something here....Disney moderates the game...is it remotely possible they remote "crash" players..or boot em...and then ya get the bug report that actually will prove where and what you were doing, specifically....I mean think about it...I have tried the harmless ones like flying behind pr cause its pretty,,,the first time I actually glitched thru that wall as a new plyr while fighting a merc...anyway,,I have done some of those on empty servers late at night...and got booted off game....I finally came to believe its because of moderation...I rarely get the boot on a empty server...only crowded ones or during invasions...most times if you enter a glitch, its fine...but if you start looking for more in same area...or a bunch of friends tp to you...you might notice if you get booted....when pvp is going on where everyone who enters tort town can see it...and it goes on and on and on...and a few start "crashing/logging out"...I always wonder anyway...:skull:

Sven Osymthe 04-10-2010 01:29 AM

Glitching of any kind is unintended to be in the game. Glitching damages the code, thus damaging the game environment. Disney has fixed this glitch numerous times in the past, indicating they don't want it to be there. People keep rediscovering it, and I think they've just given up for now - who can blame them, no matter what they do, someone just HAS to have a PvP glitch.

Nothing else to really add.

There really ISNT anything else to add, only the ones against the glitch have been saying their point over and over. It was obviously unintended at first, but now they realize it isn't hurting anybody or anything, meaning it IS NOT hurting the environment. And believe it or not, they haven't been fixing this glitch over and over. Like i said, it hasn't ever been a nuisance. They don't care anymore because it isn't a real problem.

Actually, both sides have said their points over and over again. Wanna know the difference between both sides? One has been giving facts, clearly showing that the glitch is harmful to the game. The other side.. well, they've just been denying everything because they want to have fun with something unintended in the game.

The glitch was unintended, we all know that. The glitch doesn't harm the PLAYER environment, again, we all know that. However, those against the glitch seem to mix one very important detail up, the PLAYER environment isn't the GAME environment. The game environment is the coding of the game. What is a glitch? An error in the code. What's an error in the code? Damage to the game environment.

And, believe it or not, they've fixed the glitch numerous times. I've been playing this game since March of 2008. From now to then, there have been so many variations of this glitch that I lost count. Why have there been so many? People keep rediscovering the glitch. When do they rediscover the glitch? AFTER the developers FIX the glitch. Don't believe me? The glitch used to be as simple as teleporting to a person on your friend list. Can you do that now? NOPE.

If you read the last part of my post, it's obviously a nuisance to the developers of the game. They've fixed the glitch numerous times since it first arrived, yet some players can't just play the game, no, they have to rediscover the glitch time and time again. If anything, the developers have just given up for now because they're tired of dealing with it, either that, or the updates on Test are more important. Here's an example for you. You build something, then someone comes along and breaks it. You fix it, they break it again. After 5 or so times of this happening, are you, or are you not, gonna get tired of fixing your stuff?

This glitch doesn't belong in the game, no matter how much people want to deny it. If Disney wanted it in the game, they would add PvP servers. That being said, I fully support the addition of PvP servers. Not only because it would be fun, but it would actually be INTENDED to be in the game. That and, those that have nothing better to do than rediscover a glitch in the game would be distracted on a PvP server.

More denial will follow, seems to be a pattern.

Having a pvp server would be a great thing. The only reason I do pvp glitch on abassa is because I can find a person that will do it with me. Pvp servers would be cool, long pvp and in a lot of areas.
