New God Glitch
 

What used to be referred to as the "Invincibility Glitch" is back.

Being in it SEVERAL times, i understand that it is MUCH easier then the Ship one, and probably easier then the jail one. From my understanding, all you need is a friend, a ship, and a brain. All you have to do, pull up the Ship menu, { By pressing shift at the dinghy} and have your friend out on his/her ship. Their job is to let some other ship sink their own, but whisper to you something to catch your attention when their RIGHT ABOUT to sink. I usually have someone say NOW, then wait about 15 seconds just to be safe, and then press the board button. You get a little message saying something like "Teleportation could not be completed because the ship you were boarding became unavailable" or something. Quite easy.

RULES, Rules:
You CAN'T go into any buildings
CAN'T revive people, even with tonics
CAN'T Launch a ship
CAN'T teleport.

Well, techniqually you CAN do all this stuff, but it will take you out of the glitch, so make sure you're where you want to be. Do you guys consider this CHEATING? :dancetl6:

yes i would. glitching for invicibility is wrong on my rules. does'nt this belong in the glitch forum?

Umm, lets see. Being a "God" in the game allows you to not die, stay out of jail, not have to be revived, kill as many enemies as you want, fight Jolly during an invasion much easier...you are taking advantage of the game itself and yes this is considered cheating. Do it if you want, but I wont.

Thanks for putting this up, since D does read these boards and this will go that much faster! As for the question, yes, it's totally cheating. Glitching up onto balconies for fun is one thing. Doing it to get ahead in the game is just plain cheating.

Would you get banned if you were caught doing this though, that's what I want to know. If you don't, then its pretty weird that you get banned doing the speed glitch and not the god glitch o_O when doing the god glitch you cant die(which I find completely worse than the speed), but with the speed it just makes you go faster, but either way I do consider them both cheating.

Yes you would get banned for doing God glitch

Using ANY type of glitch that allows you to get a head of the game can result in as much as a perma-ban from the game. God glitch, speed glitch, any of that. If you glitch to your advantage, you WILL get banned.

Also, if you find out about glitches like these, for pete's sake, DON'T POST HOW TO DO IT! If you post, it just allows other pirates to do it as well. Instead, FIRST, report D about the problem, and how it is done. THEN, post on the forums that it exists, but THATS IT!

Exactly the point, guys. I'm new to this forum, and also never said I actually WANTED the glitch. It's useless unless your using it to cheat in the pvp glitch

Already reported it, btw if ur smart you would know that getting this glitch reported is the whole point of this thread -_-

How do you move from island to island if you cant tp and you cant go on your ship?

That's just the point. You cant.

You must be on the island you want to be on first before doing the glitch...assuming it still exists...idk

Glitching can get you banned in game.

Any type of glitching interferes with the format of the game & makes it more difficult for the developers. Just my 2 cents worth...everyone has a choice.

Do people spend time trying to do these glitches? The only time I have ever found a glitch, it has been by accident. You know auto-run while chatting and running into a wall or something.

Why not spend the time leveling instead?:cat5:

Simple. There's a certain joy in finding "exceptions" to the rules in-game.

Glitches aren't meant to happen. The owners of this game try to find them and fix them as soon as possible, but some, as this one, get overlooked. Do NOT take advantage of this glitch! I understand people getting on balconies, etc. for area glitches, but glitches to guarantee life are just horrible...

Glitching is just finding bugs in game. If you're really a smart pirate you would find the bug and then report it. However if you play around with a bug in game you're playing the game for reasons it is not supposed to be played and that can get you, and others, into trouble.

When bugs are reported you don't see D saying "Hey it's fine! Go have fun with it!" No you see them say "Thank you for the report we will fixed it ASAP."

A glitch like should just not be in the game, play fair, or don't play at all.

The problem is that they spend so much time fixing glitches that they don't make anything new.

Fixing glitches and bugs are much more important then adding new stuff. We all may be pirates and are greedy for new stuff, but mistakes in the game must be fixed BEFORE adding new stuff. One bug could lead to a bigger bug, so it's better to fix it while it's little.

let me get this straight, D is now banning anyone who glitches? so you get banned for the glitches that don't help you with leveling up... like going behind a bar?

No, just people who abuse glitches to give them an unfair advantage in the game. That would be ones preventing you from death, and so on.

oh ok like the kingshead glitch... did they ever patch that one?

On test they have it so Kingshead is one area now (I think, last I checked at least). That will prevent players from staying in the non-enemy area once they pass the gate.

after reporting the God glitch, I asked about the glitch that doesn't help with leveling and this is what they said...

We got ye reports of glitchin' in the Caribbean. While it be true that some glitches occur naturally in the game, it's best that ye not be glitchin' with other scurvy Pirates. Usin' the glitches can cause problems to yer account, and that in turn could get ye thrown in jail, savy? We may be dirty Pirates but we stand strong as a team against the evil Jolly Roger, and we can't afford to lose one of ya due to glitchin'

I agree with all of you pirates on here. God glitch is WRONG. However, if you do a simple glitch like pvp glitch or like a wall glitch you wont get banned UNLESS you do physical damage to someone like in pvp glitch, if you crash them in jail. 99.9% of all glitches are wrong but if Disney went around banning people who did a glitch, we would barley have anyone playing. So I agree with everyone here that god glitch is bad and anything else related to it.
