Ha! what does that tell you! if they cannot reveal any devolopments then that means they are making it right now! So they just revealed the truth right there that they are making the kraken right here right NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No, it only means they can't comment on what may or may not be coming. That's all.

I don't really see the logic in that. I've asked about content such as hurricanes coming to the game and I got a similar response. I'm sure they're not making hurricanes.(I did ask them that a year ago.)

But I'm pretty sure the Kraken is going to coming out within the next year. If not, that's a big let down.

It's a non-denial dennial. If you call the CIA and ask if Mickey Mouse works for them, they will neither confirm or deny it. Sounds like what D is doing.

That is just the Developers nice way of saying, "We aren't allowed to tell you anything that hasn't been announced."

That email proves nothing mate. I agree with Sven they gave you a "Disney" answer.

It was nice. Like a whole month went by and nobody mentioned the Kraken.

I know it was much quiet without the kraken.. kraken.. kraken... KRAKEN!!! Get over it you people, Disney said that its coming with the next story chapter, and considering that in their most recent Dev diary they only stated a few things which did not include the second story, and the amount of time they have taken for their last portion ( new inventory, new weapons ), I don't think the Kraken will come out until a few months after they announce their new dev diary with them saying "Over the next few months we are going to implement a host of things... including the SECOND STORY CHAPTER!!!". Something like that. Besides, they lack one fulfillment they would have given us by now - a proper 'Loot' system, with them already saying trading and such will not come out with the next update....

Sigh. I know It was nice without people saying "WHERE IS THE KRAKEN!!" But people dont understand how complex a MMORPG game can be ( Masively Maulty Online Rule Playing Game ) What I say is that Unless you have ever made a MMORPG game that was the best graphics of its kind, you have NO RIGHT to say how fast they should make it. And it does not matter because when the kraken finally does come out, three days later will just become board of it and just want something new. Or will just complain about the Kraken somehow.

Now to your post I think not. They are just tiered of people asking about the kraken so they are just not saying anything anymore. Or like someone said above they are doing what the CIA does. If you ask a question that is not true they will just say "That is Classified"

Now where would the excitement be if we knew when everything was going to happen? Enough people have asked and I believe they are working on it. Last year they said we would have the kraken, so it must be coming, but for now lets be patient and just let what ever happens, happen.

Yeah i guess you guys are right. And yes i do know how hard it is to make a game ive been to a school about it at college an you have to program c++ with python and panda3d i know but NOBODY wants inventory or weapons right now well we do but cant they do it after they make the kraken? that is so dumb and they should at least make a boss of Jolly Roger that is always in the cave of a new island they should make called Undead grotto or whatever. But for now in my opinion they should work on nothing but THE KRAKEN.

Adding Jolly Roger would be a bad move by Disney - if he is a re-spawning boss. Not only would this ruin the point of invasions, but it would prevent a future boss battle based around him (if there ever is one). Imagine if the Goliath was added to the sea, would that or would that not ruin the point of a boss battle where the main enemy is the Goliath?

Plenty of people have wanted this since it was announced, and plenty of people like it. Personally, I don't like it at this time (since it could be better, and should of been there since the start), but it is okay to have. If they use it correctly, it could completely change the way quests, and other things are done in the game.

As for why the Kraken isn't there main focus.. have they not said multiple times that they want to improve the game performance first and foremost? They are more than likely done with the Kraken, they are just following through with the game performance.

I for one Hope and Wish that Disney released a statement saying that The Kraken was never coming out and eliminate all of these rumors once and for all! Focus on other things including a new chapter that doesn't involve that animal.

For all you folks who want the Kraken...What role do you see it playing in the game? Seriously. Asking for it is the easy part. Now, what is that you expect the Kraken to do in the game? How do you see it fitting in?

I'd prefer everybody forget about the Kraken for a while, and just be patient and not talk about it, rather than everybody make even more threads about the Kaken and such. The Kraken has been mentioned for years non-stop. Leave the demon alone and let it come when it feels like coming.

I want The Kraken just as ship sinker sequence. Just have one tentacle come out and take your ship down once you have been beaten by other ships.

Why can't they just release that? TELL US, that's all.

They aren't releasing anything about the Kraken until they update game performance, as they have said time and time again. The Kraken is the next story chapter - according to them, and to have it pull EVERYTHING that sinks would be a waste.. plus, why would it sink everything??

It would be great that after so much discussion and rumors that would be the only purpose of the Kraken. And just grab the user's ship once it has been defeated.
