New Weapons
 

Hi. So everyone's enjoying the new weapons? Good. I've got a list of all the weapons I've found so far. Please add any I'm missing.

Blunderbuss: new firearm. Incredibly powerful. With level 1 aim, a level 5 (With the weakest type of blunderbuss) can take out a level 10 vampire bat in one hit. As an offset however, it takes up to 10 seconds to reload, and has an incredibly short range, so if you miss, you're going to take some hits. :laughks2: It can take out several enemies at once if they're all bunched together.

Musket: also a new firearm. It is much more powerful than a pistol, though less than a blunderbuss. It is fairly slow, and can't be fired when the enemy is right next to you. It has long range.

Bayonet: new firearm. A little less powerful than a musket, equally slow. Once you're aiming, you can't move. On the bright side, you can bludgeon your enemies to death with the pointy tip.

Sabre: new sword. With this small sword you can cut and hack your enemies in the half the time as you would with a cutlass. (Although it is less powerful as well)
If you're aiming to quickly dispatch some weak enemies for a quest, try this out.

Broadsword: also a new sword. This monster is capable of taking out several enemies at once, even ones behind you. :Pirate3::skull: It is much more powerful than a cutlass, if a little slower. Certain swords give a special attack that allows you to "Knock down" any surrounding enemies.

One of me favorite broadswords is the War Broadsword. It looks like the Pirate blade, but it is a broadsword. I like the flintlock blunderbuss and the crab sticker bayonet.

Oooohhhhhhhhh, so muskets and bayonets are seperate things. gotcha

They're basically the same. Not much different, really. Well, I haven't gotten a musket yet, but they look identical to the bayonet. Whether they have the same attacks or not is beyond me.

P.S. Anyone notice the highest level weapon you can buy(from my understanding), is a Royal Bayonet? It requires level 28 shooting.

Muskets are NOT the same as the bayonet. First you can't use the stab move and second if you're to close it says too close to fire with a musket. I prefer a royal blunder :D

A new one I found was the Monkey Repeater. Its a fairly normal gun, can do two shots at a time before reload, but quick reload. The most fun though is to go bananas.
There is a skill that takes an awful long time to load up, but once loaded your pirate goes bananas lol. It doesn't do anything special otherwise that I could tell.

Where did you get your sources from?

I just bought a level 25 Musket yesterday after the update and the attacks are exactly like the Bayonet. You can "poke" your enemies, and when far away shoot them.

:laughks2:I was at Outcast all day today lvling my weapons and you get loaded with the new weapons. I now have at least twenty new things that i like out of the ones i found, mostly the monkey sword cause of the stumps use earthquake attack thing alot.

blunderbuss? nah im more of a bayonet guy, PS. if anyone knows how to get the cobra pistol and if any particular enemies drop it plz tell which ones. Thx

I am pretty sure that drops are completely random and that it is of no use to say what you got something from; but I haven't found one yet.

If you really want good stuff, you gotta go to the Kingshead bosses. Now those are going to give you some really nice things.

P.S. General Darkhart gave me a nice pair of zombie pants yesterday. I wonder if he holds a shirt...

but I don't want nice things, I want crude things!

*i got...
-(rare) buccaner (sp) cutlass it has the rolling attack.
-(rare) monkey cutlass it is really usefull when ur battling stumps.
-(rare) night hunter pistol once you get it you cant be effected by the undead voodoo things also jolly rogers voodoo... SUPER HELPFUL! (though the skill takes a long time to reload.

I love the saber. The attacks look awesome, and it's fast and fairly powerful.

Lucas,,,I got two cobra pistols at Tormenta,,,two from dregs out front...different days,,,different servers.

..My favorite pistol is the three barrel 'dread repeater', unlimited venom, bane boost with critical strike, I used it at tormenta on everything but the thrall captains....I have found two skull chests on Outcast with the shark blade cutlass with rolling attack...both from stumps..

..lots of other duplicate weapons...but finding loot today was harder...sose I wondered if theres limits or what...I gave dis feedback about the no gold on enemies..esp. high level, when no loot pouches or chest...a gold coin or old socks would be something!...lol :dancetl6:

I don't know if loot in general is more scarce today, but I've dropped Devil Root (Twisted Stump Boss) about 15-20 times, and counting, without a single loot drop. It is quite odd for a boss.

I did the same thing and came to the conclusion that Devil Root never gives drops.

Both assassin bosses give a lot of loot. The one in Beckett's and on Kingshead.

when the update first came out on test, that boss never gave anything. same for one of the crab boss on rumrunner (or was it cangrejos :S)

Cangrejos has the crab boss. Rumrunners has the dread scorpions. While on Test, the one crab boss on the front of the island gave nothing, but there is a second on the back :D

...got an 'engraved saber' today...love it...its so fast...has a cyclone spin move...

The Enhanced Repeater Pistol! May be small but it has a skill that you dont have to reload and can shoot up to 8-9 shots in one stand! Found it while fighting Remmington on Kingshead. I think it had infinite venom shot, although I dont remember; have to check later :p
Another really good weapon that I like is the Hex Stopper Musket. Makes a hex guard barrier around you while under attack and has infinite hex shot.

...we need rapid reload skill on shooting Disney!!!! Please!!!!!..some of the weapons in the drops have it...but I would spend my bb's on it in a flash.....wish I could make a video of all the "..be vewy quiet...I'm hunting wabbits!" peeps with the blunderbusses and muskets...I know I look the same...:)

And why can't Jolly drop us all a skull chest when we defeat him with the 5 gold skull rating? wouldn't that be the coolest...everyone running up to the chest...but its really no different ...or is it...?

Has anyone found sailing upgrades yet- sea charts and cannon rods ? I had a ton on test but haven't found one on live yet ( wanna try some out in SvS :) )

..been wondering that meself...we've got regular chests...no sea items...me slot is empty:(

Same here, I figured that if you sail you would find them. But... Zip, nadda, nothing.

I'm not after the pity little 20 level swords, I'm after the big guns.

I got a level twenty Shadow Stalker Blunderbuss(rare) today from a warlord and it really is useful during battles with voodoo wielding enemies. And when it's special power(dodge one voodoo attack), you'll see souls flying around you.

But I really want the really rare lost sword.

A musket and a bayonet are the same exept on a bayonet the put a dagger-like thing on the top of the musket

I have gotten many rare swords and guns but only garbage dolls, staffs, or daggers has anyone gotten a rare one!

Same here. Only actually got one staff - and it was terrible. Same with dagger. I've gotten about a million cruddy dolls, though.

That makes three of us! Eventually, I went out and bought one of the (overly expensive) staffs, haven't even found a cheap dagger yet. So far, the most I've sold a plundered doll for was seven gold.

My official favorites are muskets and tiny tiny tiny repeater pistols, lol, they look so awesome, Anybody know how to get the cavalry broadsword?

Hmm.. odd. The pistol shop over by darkhart is not giving me money for my guns and other weapons.

They are still giving you gold if you sell weapons, but you just dont hear the ka-ching sound, lol. Just observe your gold when u sell weapons.

Eric, I have the Cavalry Broadsword. I ended up getting it from a Grunt in Beckett's Quarry.

I've gotten four cobra pistols from darkhart, gl though, most of the time you get voodoo crud.

Today at Darkhart I got The Lost Sword of El Patron, 84 attack, ghosty (what i call it when you dissappear-kinda), and enemy voodoo draining and plus 3 swirl. i do not know if i posted this at the right area of the site :o

I am so annoyed, I have spent hours on darkhart and not even a lost relic!!!!

..congratz Hunter....let us know what weapon you were using on Darkhrt...and how many tries before success...I need to plan a chunk of time prob....lol...:)
