Ok so your local GPJM is apparently in need of a recalibration. I dropped a full bottle of DP on my lappy screen accidentally. You can guess what happened. It broke!!! ARG! :mybadki6: Thankfully I had the repairs scheduled for the hard drive. I was able to send it right out. Due to them not repairing my lappy right the first time I have it guarenteed that they will replace my screen no charge.


Unfortunately that means I'm not gonna be around much till I get my laptop back, which is most likely going to be Monday or Tuesday. :( No poker for me this week. I will be able to get in game via the launcher, an I will be able to check in here, just not as much as usual.

If I don't see ya have a good week guys!



Edit: I'm having a lot of trouble getting the web launcher to run on my sisters 6 year old dino computer. I will try again tomorrow but don't be surprised if you don't see me till next week. :(


Edit to the edit: Nope, couldn't get in today either. Kept getting a weird error message about panda not responding. Guess I will see you guys in game next week. :( Bonus side Iris did indeed get to the shop today. :D

Edit. Just talked to HP again. Not 5 mintues ago the charge came up for the cracked screen and the case manager overrode it. Good thing, it would have been almost $300, an I woulda been permanantly out of commission! They should start actual work on it today, and I was told to expect to be back up on Wednesday.

Well, still waiting on the return of Iris. I think it will probably still be a few days. I found out that just like I told them the hard drive and the cd drive were both bad, they have to replace the screen, and yup, just like I warned them, the motherboard is bad too. Dunno why they don't just send a new one. They've replaced the keyboard, the fan, the battery, the hard drive, the cd drive, and now the motherboard and screen too. Pretty much built me a new lappy anyway. Anywho, just waiting on return delivery now, so I'll see you guys in a few days.

AAAARRRRGGGGG!!!!! Just when I thought it was all good an it was safe to breathe, I did find a problem with this stupid overgrown paperweight. AGAIN. Now it's a mouse issue that HP confirmed. And... can't fix remotely. They tell me they want me to send it back. A third time. I said uh uh ain't happening. So, now I'm going to have a little war with HP tomorrow afternoon. Will let you guys know what the outcome is, but let me tell you, I do not now nor will I ever trust HP to actually fix Iris if I ever have to send her back in the shop again. AAARRGGG.

The peeps at HP dont seem to realize that they are messing with a pirate. If they did, they would have fixed it right the first time.....lolz

Now I don't begin to speak geek. But I had a tech friend of mine look this over, and his response was akin to OMG. He said they are sending me a KILLER laptop.

My current computer is a 2 year old almost Compaq Persario CQ50-130US
It's an Intel Pentium Dual CPU T3200 2.00 GHz
2.00 GB Ram
32 bit os

I don't know how to read my grapics card an all those other funky specs. But from what my friend told me what they are sending puts Iris to shame. Ok, I can deal with that. 2 years of non repairs, royal runaround, fixes that didn't work, an repairs that only made things worse? If they wanna send me a better lappy I'll take that.

Unfortunately it means I will be out of game AGAIN. Though thankfully the turnaround this time is just 3 days. I will send it Monday, they will get it Tuesday, send me the new one Wednesday at the latest, and with the overnight shipping I will be back up an running on the new lappy Thursday tops. With no worries bout sending in the stupid thing for repairs! Woo hoo!!

In an update to the never ending saga that is the life of my laptop (hmm, a soap opera in the offing?) here's the latest word.

I should get my box for sending Iris off tomorrow. As soon as HP gets the tracking number the new lappy will be on the way. Thankfully, I don't have to wait for it to get anywhere. Iris's life is on it's final days now. She's off to be recycled. Strangely, that's kinda sad to me, she was my first link to all of you. Anywho, the new puter should be on it's way Friday at the latest. Sadly, this means no poker night yet again. :( It's 2 day shipping so the new lappy should get to me Tuesday, maybe Wednesday. Can ya guess what I load on first? So that's the final update in the Life And Times Of Iris.

I will be in game tonight, but after that it's only POF for a week. Hope to see you guys tonight. If not, I will see you soon.

So, I just called HP for a tracking number. Guess what, the lappy was delivered Saturday, but the landlord didn't know his wife signed for it. I am gonna be on the way in just a few to go pick it up. YAHOO!! I will be back online tonight!!!!
