Release Notes - September 8, 2010

New Features:

• Fishing is now available! Head to the docks of Port Royal, Tortuga, and Padres Del Fuego and talk to the Fishmaster to get a rod and start fishing.
• New Daggers and Throwing Knives have been added and can be found in Loot Drops.
• A new Guild rank has been added! Members can now be promoted to Veterans and invite other players into their guild.
• Guild Officers are now restricted to 5 member removals per day.
• Guild Members will be notified when a member has been invited or removed from a Guild.

Fixes:

• Fixed a crash in Cannon Defense when players enter a game where mines had already been shot into the field.
• Fixed a bug where players could move around while injured if they had just taken the Ghastly Visage potion.
• Fixed a bug where a players voodoo bar was not refilling properly upon login.
• Fixed various collision issues with walls, crates and barrels
• Common treasures should be attainable in loot containers.
• Fixed a crash when shopping in clothing stores.
• Fixed a crash when redeeming codes.
• The shoreline at Padres Del Fuego has been lowered to not interfere with Fishing.

Known Issues - September 8, 2010

• When playing in Windowed Mode, the window may appear off screen.
  • Workaround: To fix this, simply expand the lower right corner of the window which will allow bring the window back to full view or change the display option to 'Full Screen' or 'Web Page' mode.

There was a glitch that you been leveling fishing already like let's say your level 3 that you didn't started.... :zu032b:

This has been bugging me for a year, I didn't even think it was a bug. I thought voodoo only startedd refilling during a battle with a doll or staff.

I'm glad they fixed that, then, I never noticed it as a problem, but obviously it was.

Yupp, buggy already. :/

This is great! I cant wait to start fishing and get a hold of those daggers... anyone notice that Legendary Silver Freeze dagger? Looks like we have another legendary weapon running around mateys!

FINALLY! Now I won't have to keep responding to all those complaints about it not coming out!

Nahh, just watch. Lots of people will be complaining that "fishing is too easy I maxed it in three days" in a few weeks... I'm sorry, but it seems like that's what happens with any new releases. Although, I have yet to try fishing. If it is really easy, I won't blame anyone for complaining, LOL. Update the game already! (Launcher is sitting here... updating everlastingly....)

Good news! I was testing my El Patron sword and it actually drains voodoo now!

Sweet. Ill try that too.... after those tormentans/darkhart decide to let me have one.....

The thing I like best is the Veteran rank, as this has an actual use. One other thing I noticed...

What exactly did you notice? If it's the way you're swimming, I think it's been that way for a while.. could be I've been on Test a lot though..

Me: Aye its not a concern I just wondered if it was normal with this update. My friends like that we start out with level 3 fishing, we just wondered if it was a bug.

Me: I'm not sure maybe around 4 p.m Eastern Time ish? Is that a problem or? I mean because everyone that I have talked to about this likes the idea because its alot of work to go from level 1 to level 3. thats why we like the level 3 fishing start level anyway.

Don: yes, when did you first start fishing and how long after you started did you notice the level was set to 3?

Me: I started about 20 to thirty minutes ago and it was right away. I just wanted to check if it was normal to see this because everyone starts out at level 3.

Don: How many other people do you know that started like this?

Me: No, from level 3 to level 5. My friend just got to level 14, now they're all gonna be mad at me because you guys will probably reset all the levels for fishing which will upset pretty much everybody in the game :/

I doubt they'll reset the levels, they wouldn't do something like that on the Live server. More than likely they'll just fix the problem.. what's 3 levels anyway? You can easily do it in a few minutes.

They wont do a reset. As SOS said, you can get level 3 in a matter of minutes, so its not worth a reset. They will just make it so anyone who starts fishing after they fix the bug starts at lv 1.

They will not do a reset, they will fix the problem, but if you have the problem it will stay.

I'm still level 21 Fishing on Test but the cap was still stopped at 20.

The swimming used to be breastroke that is freestyle.

Veteran rank is a good idea but I got demoted from officer because of it. Guess I am not worshipful enough for my GM... :psmiley35:

Oh look, another person who actually can tell swimming strokes apart...

Anyways, I wish they had changed the swimming to butterfly.... that would have been AWESOME lol

I've only seen one new outfit, the new hat, shirt, and pants. Are there more new clothes or something, that I have missed? :) :/ :bookishfj7::piratewheelgo2:

I was a competitive swimmer for 12 years and a coach for 2. On and off swimmer for quite sometime.

Butterfly is a stroke not designed for open water.


Also have anyone noticed what happens if you let the cursor above the "Take it All" button when you get loot? It is kind of cool. I just noticed it. Don't know when they added it.
