Elite Thievery Company - New Thread!

Attention all Elite Thieves and Our Mates on Land and Sea!

Due to some housecleaning, all important messages, postings, events, results etc. for the E.T.C. will appear in this thread.

We will not be posting separate items under Events, etc. and I ask you all to help us keep our forum items together so all the ETC and their friends can stay informed in the future.

Of course, our most recent doings can be found on our own site as well.

Thanks loads,
Eliza T. Creststeel

Elite Thievery Ruled the Waves! 1-16-11

Blow me down!! What a day yesterday!!

The Elite Thievery Co. was the #1 Guild for Sinking Ships by a landslide!! We took down 3,751 vessels! The number two guild was more than 1,400 behind us!

And that was mostly thanks to TWO pirates!
  • Captain Angel Masters 1,171 (#1!!)
  • Marc Daggerrage 1,128 (#2!)

Those two mates obliterated EVERYTHING! Amazing work you too! Also, kudos to:
  • Jinsai - 193 (#37!)
  • Audelito - 118

And your Amazon did her part -

Eliza Creststeel - 181 (#46!)

Joshua Coalskull 01-17-2011 06:09 PM

0_o Wow! I'm glad I'm not the Navy, EITC, or a part of Jolly's Crew.

SEAKING23 01-17-2011 07:37 PM

Eliza Creststeel 01-17-2011 08:45 PM

Seaking,

We list 424 pirates, but I have a number of duplicate members and inactives. Though the active guys... are quite active. We do weekly events as well.

EC

PS - Captain Angel also was our number one killer on Saturday...

SEAKING23 01-17-2011 08:58 PM

Survival Regatta Returns!

Survival Regatta

It's that time again! Time for the running of the rust buckets as the ETC's Survival Regatta- is coming this Saturday at 4pm EST. We will be meeting at the docks of Padres Del Fuego (Camaros).

FOUR laps of dangerous racing aboard Light Galleons through the worst waters in the Caribbe. Getting home in one piece is a feat in itself!

- RULES -

1) LIGHT GALLEONS ONLY. Only 1 Crew member is allowed for repairing, but shooting is not recommended. You CANNOT launch from an SVS island.

2) Line up at Padres, behind the starting ship. Sail ONLY when the start/finish ship fires her broadsides.

3) You must go AROUND Kingshead, then between Port Royal and the marker ship (TBA), AROUND Tormenta and back to the Start/Finish ship. Any vessel caught cutting a corner is disqualified.

4) Complete ALL FOUR laps. If you are sunk, you're out. If NO ship survives, the vessel going the farthest is declared the posthumous winner.

5) ANY Sailing Boosts and skills are allowed.

Rannulf 01-18-2011 07:15 PM

:dancetl6: Glad to see that this is happening again! Count me in!:th1287fm4:

Eliza Creststeel 01-19-2011 06:19 PM

This event is open to non-members, unlimited or basic as well. Love to see you guys there!

Tiberius Fireskull 01-20-2011 12:57 AM

I'll need a light galleon... I'll be glad to show up! RL allowing obviously.

Captain Sharktooth 01-20-2011 01:20 AM

That looks like fun, I could probably show up, on my noob XD Because I don't want to sell one of my ships and buy a light galleon.

SEAKING23 01-20-2011 02:51 AM

Isn't this for the ETC only? after all, this is the ETC thread.

Might as well get on your knees and beg if its not.

It's for any and all who can race a light galleon, Seaking!

I hope to see a few forumers out there, for the race always is better with more competitors.

P.S. My first post on the ETC Thread! Woot!

SEAKING23 01-21-2011 12:35 AM

Alright, lets do this!!

Tyler The Tyrant 01-21-2011 07:56 AM

Looking forward to it Eliza!

I already took 4 practice laps. Got through with half ship hull left.

Eliza Creststeel 01-24-2011 03:20 PM

Thanks to all who ran the Regatta. My apologies for my late arrival (connection issues)...

Right now, there was a little issue with the winner. From my vantage point, I would have given it to Rannaulf, but folks are saying Pretty Polly passed him at the last leg.

Rannaulf himself says that Polly won - so I will announce her as the official winner! My apologies for not having a winning graphic for Polly, but she is a truly great pirate and ran an amazing race!

Looking forward to our next installment!

Eliza Creststeel 01-31-2011 03:54 PM

Congratulations to our new officers and veterans

Maps 01-31-2011 06:22 PM

Congrats you guys!!

I am terribly sorry I haven't been on lately - I will try to be sometime this week.

Eliza Creststeel 01-31-2011 07:05 PM

Also, another good note - our member Lola became a MASTER PIRATE last night!

Survival Regatta!! - This Saturday 10pm (Cortola - Padres)

It's that time again! Time for the running of the rust buckets as the ETC's Survival Regatta. We will be meeting at the docks of Padres Del Fuego (Cortola) - Saturday April 2nd, 10pm EST.

FOUR laps of dangerous racing aboard Light Galleons through the worst waters in the Caribbe. Getting home in one piece is a feat in itself!

And now improved! The race is now a straight lap, around Kingshead, Tormenta and Padres Del Fuego. Both of the inside legs have been changed. This will make it easier to navigate and harder to cheat without losing the fun of fleeing for your life.

- RULES -

1) LIGHT GALLEONS ONLY. Only 1 Crew member is allowed for repairs or cannon, but shooting is not recommended. You CANNOT launch from an SVS island.

2) Launch from the Padres Del Fuego dock, and line up behind the starting ship. Sail ONLY when the start/finish ship fires her broadsides. (The start/finish ship will then move to the back of Padres to count laps.)

3) You must go AROUND Kingshead, then AROUND Tormenta then AROUND Padres to complete a lap. Any vessel caught cutting a corner is disqualified.

4) Complete ALL FOUR laps. If you are sunk, you're out. If NO ship survives, the vessel going the farthest is declared the posthumous winner.

5) ANY Sailing Boosts and skills are allowed.

And what time zone is this? thanks, :)

Eliza Creststeel 04-01-2011 04:45 PM

Seaking, it's Eastern Standard.

Eliza Creststeel 04-03-2011 01:35 AM

Regatta is TONIGHT, 10pm EST on Monada - Padres Del Fuego Dock! See you there!

Eliza Creststeel 04-04-2011 04:51 PM

Mates,

I want to first thank all of the pirates who came out and attended this most recent running of the ETC's long-standing race tradition, the Survival Regatta.

We had 8 ships enter the contest this time and all vessels ran a pretty good race. And there was only 1 known casualty from enemy fire.

However, due to some misunderstanding of the rules and some disagreements regarding lap count - we had to declare this a no-contest with no winner. An offer was made to rerun the race, but the teams could not agree.

That said, I do want to compliment the crew of the Black Guardian for running one of the best and quickest race efforts ever. However, both their vessel and the runner-up Iron Rogue did not cross the finish line before porting back at Padres. So, they did not finish the race.

Two other vessels did not complete the race, due to lap miscount. We had three officials counting laps confirm this. Also, one vessel was witnessed cutting a corner on the 2nd lap and was disqualified. I am withholding the name.

Therefore, to those pirates who attended, please accept my apologies for the event ending on such a sour note. This race has been held nearly every month for almost two years without incident and I will make every effort to see that this will NOT occur again in the future.

Umm I was Iron Rogue and I most certainly did cross the finish line. I passed your ship 100% after doing 4 complete laps. I even sat there for about 2-3 minutes before porting. It's all good though. I don't need to prove myself to anyone. I'm the master of my own destiny.

Hope all your future events go smoothly but I won't be participating.

Eliza Creststeel 04-12-2011 04:29 PM

Elite Thievery Co. is hiring sea-worthy hands.

Attitude is more important than your Notoriety. Unlimited and Basics from Level 7 up (first pirates only). 2nd or 3rd pirates can join at any level.

We are sizeable guild, having been maxed - but we try to maintain an active roster and we strive for a family atmosphere. Our players are largely adults and older teens, but younger pirates are not excluded.

The ETC maintains a web site all members are allowed to use and participate in, with additional veteran and officer areas.

Guild Events are held 2-3 times a week and we make effort to promote events for other guilds and organizations too.

We encourage all members to try various events and mini-games, though ranking, SvS and PvP are not primary goals.

Our ranks are by officer vote only. Deserving members are nominated and elected, not given away by me and I do not override any final officer corps decision. This goes the same with member removal or major guild policy.

Drama is NOT welcome, and will be met with quick response. But, open and free-reeling Guild chat will find a home.

I am a Guild Master, not dictator. Think of Eliza as more a big sister and all of your guildmates are here to support you and your experience in Pirates Online.

We abide by three basic tenets: Communicate, Assist and Respect.

Just to mention Regatta is open to all pirates and things are shaping up with a possible grudge match between previous winners Rannulf and Grace O'Malley.

jadedstatik 06-13-2011 09:40 AM

I just joined the guild. Sorry to see I just missed the most recent race. I'm looking forward to the next one and getting a try at this. In the mean time I will practice :p

Elite Thievery Co. Turns 2 Years Old

This Wednesday, June 29th, the Elite Thievery Company celebrates it's second anniversary!

As a way of celebrating and showing appreciation to our members and the countless other pirates and guilds that have been our supporters and allies, we will be holding a pub crawl Wednesday night - starting at 9pm EST.

We will start at the Rowdy Rooster on Port Royal (Abassa) then mosey down to the Royal Anchor before moving onto the Kings Arm and finally the Faithful Bride. Order your favorite - it's on us!

After drinking our fill, we will take to the seas! All revellers are invited to launch their ships with ours and form a blockade across the straights from Tortuga to Devil's Anvil. Once we blockade the harbor, all ships will then circle the Caribbe (Tortuga to Cuba to Padres to Kingshead) - sinking all in our path!

Can't wait to see you all there!

Eliza T. Creststeel
GM of Elite Thievery Co.

Captain Del 06-27-2011 04:36 PM

If not for my vacation, I would have been more than happy to attend! Early Congratulations to Eliza and all the honorable mates in the legendary Elite Thievery Co. For accomplishing such a feat!

Cheers, pirates! :buds:

SEAKING23 06-27-2011 07:47 PM

I'd love to be there, but it's the same time as the SVS event, and i already signed up for that.

Eliza Creststeel 06-28-2011 01:38 AM

Seaking, the guild is likely going to have a weekend event Saturday as well...

Eliza Creststeel 06-29-2011 04:03 PM

Elite Thievery Co. is TWO YEARS OLD!

And we've seen so much! Raven's Cove, The Queen Anne's Revenge, Infamy and now the Scoundrel of the Seas! It's a lot to keep up with and the pirates of the ETC have made incredible strides!

Our members flourish and as our star continues to rise, more and more pirates know our name and our reputation.

I can never thank you enough... from our great Officer Corps and supportive Petty Officers to the newest recruits - you make this family what it is and what it will become.

On the Horizon, so many possibilities... ship customization? trading? new quests? But, the important thing is that we discover these new adventures as mates.
