My gm hasn't been on in a long time, but he guilds people in the middle of the night, so i was thinking he might make me GM. If so, could you gives me some tips on running a guild?

Before I reveal all of my GM secrets, I think we need to first make sure that you actually will be the GM.... is there any way you can get in contact with him?

Nope, because as i said before, he only comes on in the middle of the might, and he hasn't came on since the raven's update.

Hmm... well, it wouldn't hurt to stay up in the middle of the night to see him and talk to him... perhaps he moved into some far off country in a time zone with an 8-10 or more hour difference... I'm getting off the point.

If at all possible, on a weekend is best, try to stay up a little later than usual to talk to him. If you absolutely can't, then, well... we can reveal the secrets. ;)

Also, any idea about why he hasn't made you GM yet?

I dunno.. maybe he can only play on week days?

As for the getting up in the middle of the night, i really cant because of sleep and all.

He left shortly after his best friend left, so maybe that has something to do with it.
I thin he didn't make me GM yet becuase he hasn't goten up in the middle of the night yet. hes also basic now, and changes his clothes same times.

Did you try to go around to all the members to see if they've heard anything? You're going to want to hear at least something from the Guildmaster before you make a move.

He hasn't been online since the ravens update. Plus, if my GM came online they would have told me.

I know when he comes online anyways because i click on his avatar and see if he changes clothes.

I have a guess...

He is probably in a place with a REALLY crazy time zone difference. He comes on in the middle of night YOUR time zone, but in the day in his. That's my guess. Mate, if he hasn't made you GM by now, he probably won't for a while. You need to try to find a way to talk to him... somehow...

Yeah I think if that doesnt work at worst cases u could disperse guild. If so even I would give u some tips even though im a relatively new gm but still have some tips

The disperse idea is out of the question. we have 464 people. I guess i will just have to wait and see.

You should have said fake EITC Guild. Gosh, those "EITC" Guilds annoy me....

I just go ta PM from a guild mate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he came on in the middle of the night, and he told my guild mate that he moved to another country, so hes basic because of that. hes on between 10-11 PM eastern time. I asked my guild mate to ask him that next time he my GM to make me gm, because i'm co gm. Basically being GM is inevitable now.

Woot go SEAKING! I hope you have fun being GM! The main thing is show respect and re kind. Also if someone is causing trouble just give them the BOOT because it would be terrible if your guild broke up.

Drama in guilds are the number 1 cause of guilds crashing. Remember through thick and thin you have your family and just make sure you're always there for them. All people want is a guild with a family atmosphere. Have a nice set of rules and guild meetings to make sure ppl know them and so so they can be more active because of the meetings. Aye, you have to make sure that you are strong enough to be able to eject a bad member. Just yesterday I had invited these two people into my guild. They seemed nice enough... until one of them started saying, err, inappropriate things. I gave him one or two warnings, but he didn't listen, so I ejected him. Goodness, you should have seen all the thank you's I got from the guild xD His friend ended up leaving with him, saying something like "cya noobs". Nobody ended up leaving other than them. The moral is that you NEED to be able to eject a member. Trust me, I don't like to do it, but I know it is necessary. Don't just let them cause drama, because you will end up having the better, more loyal members leave and have just a bunch of drama causers stay.

And also, you need to know when not to guild someone. Just today, Davy denied this female pirate of joining because she's one of those "Dating Site" pirates. Bravo, Davy, Bravo.

If folks don't know, the Elite Thievery Co. is NOT an EITC guild - like so many with Company in the name. We're not. My father's business was ruined by Beckett and my fiance was murdered by the Black Guard... Eliza Creststeel would never serve East India.

But, back on topic.

Seaking, I like the idea of setting an officer and veteran cap - mostly because you can't have an entire guild of officers. You need a chain of command. But, be willing at least to take input from other about who to promote / demote - not just whoever asks.

Yeah, i'm not planning to give it to anyone. our guilds has been doing fine, but the fact that we dont have a gm and we are all officers may ruin the guild soon.

Ah goodness... I remember her... she came onboard my ship (she was a friend of a guildmate of ours) and she starts acting all rude and obnoxious to us all. She then says that she will be leaving.

Her: But first..... hey cutie [directed to me]
me: You like my pixels?
her: yes I do!

Then she starts acting all annoying, and then starts saying how "Eww no! Who would like HIM?!" And then Billy comes and says, "I would. He's my brother." Then she started asking to join our guild. I basically said (with different words of course) "Heck no! I'm not letting someone like you join!"

Moral of the story is to not let bad people join your guild just to boost your numbers. In the end, they will drive people OUT.

We try to get as much people as possible in, but not if they are jerks. -_-
