Brand New to POTCO and this forum :]
 

Hello! :D I just joined POTCO yesterday...and immediately started looking for a forum where I could find tips to help me figure out the game and stuff. And so here I am. I've always been somewhat fascinated with pirates so I think the game seems pretty cool so far.

I'm really bad at introducing myself .... so I guess that's all. ;)

Welcome aboard Miss Scarlet! Glad to have a new player in game! Just a few little rules that you should follow aboard here...

- Give me all your rum. I can keep it safe from all those rum thieves. Sick people, they are.
- Listen to me. It'll keep you mostly sane.
- See that green meat over there? Yeah, that stuff. Don't go near it. No! No questions. Just don't.

Thanks for the friendly (if pirates can be called friendly?) welcomes, guys. :) Btw you can call me Rosa if you'd like, as my pirate's name is Rosa O'Scarlett. (The forum wouldn't let me have that for my username, I'm guessing because of the apostrophe, perhaps, so I went with Miss Scarlett as it reminds me of the game Clue. :P)

Hey, I'd happily turn over all the rum you pirates want for any game tips you've got. xD Right now, Rosa is hopelessly lost who-knows-where looking for Tia Dalma (if I got the name right). Yup, I've barely begun the game and I'm already lost, lol.

Oh and I'm definitely not scared away by any so-called "weirdos" or people displaying signs of temporary or perminant insanity; I'm certainly not sane myself. :D

Watch all the POTC movies and that should help ya haha! :D

Ahoy Rosa! Welcome aboard the forums, and to POTCO as well! My name is Captain Del, and I am but one of the many fine pirates that browse this site, and one of the millions of pirates that roam this game! The game can be quite overwhelming at first, but once you start to find your way around, you really then start to enjoy it.

If I may suggest, because you are farely new to the game, you might want to look for a guild to join either in game, or here, on the forums. All the guilds that have subforums have their own forums listed under the Guilds and Clans section, while all other guilds that also choose to make this place their own have their own thread in the Guilds and Clans Forum, under the same section. Be sure to look around, and find one that may suit you the best :)

Also, as for Tia Dalm, she can be found on the island of Cuba. If you go to your World Map by hitting "M," Cuba can be found due West of Port Royal. Sail there, and port. Once ported, head towards the wall of swamp trees you find at the very end of the little swamp area. There will be a ramp there, which you can take in to the Pantamo River. This is where Tia is :)

Thanks, everyone! :D Especially for the advice some people posted. I'm definitely planning on joining a guild. And I'm glad to hear not everyone is crazy; I mean, it is helpful to have some sane people around. They're useful for things like navigating ships and making decisions and such. ;)

welcome and if u need a guide you will need a healer im at ur call just pm me an give a holler and let me know days and times u on and i will try to meet those i have been through it all so im ur lady for any help and our guild rock should be need a PLACE TO CALL HOME.

Now, usually, I'd give you a list. But I'm a little late to the party, so I'll give you my GOLDEN GUIDELINE!

1) He/She who has gas, travels at the end of the line.

Here, take some of my rum, give it no man/woman, and relax. Don't hesitate to message a question or two to any of us.

These people are insane, listen to ME and all will be fine. And your rum will be safe with me. You can trust a pirate, eh? Guess not

Welcome to POF and Pirates! I think I'm one of the few sane people around here, I'm also the Epic Hat Master, as most of the Pixie Pyrates will tell you. Haha. Anyways, feel free to ask me any questions you might have! And, if, like me, you dislike sailing, (which is odd, considering we're pirates, oh well) you can always find a dockworker and pay 20-25 gold to be shipped to Cuba ( or is it 50? I forgot, I stopped using dockworkers when I got teleport access everywhere) :)

1. Don't hang out with Del.. he will make you WORK
2. Be sure to find Crestshot's hidden rum stash - she LIKES to share it with everyone
3. Listen to Hookshot. He is always right ( eye roll )
4. Don't stand next to Eliza. She's an amazon
5. Skiriata will dispute anything you say
6. Give me all your rum.
