any gender bending?
In other words, any guys playing girl characters? Or and girls playing guy characters? I'm a male in real life and after creating two males, I decided to create a female. Mainly because I thought it would be cool to make a pirate named after the song "Pirate Jenny."
Anyone else? Or am I just a weirdo? :laughks2: |
Haha, I'm a guy, I've tried making a few girls but failed.
I usually stick with playing on guy pirates. |
Me to. Unless you want you pirate to be girl that acts like a guy, I suggest you keep with making guy pirates.
Had fun pretending to be my "older sister" named grace to see if I got more respect as a girl. It actually worked and for an entire month people though I was grace. And when I told everyone who I really was, people stopped treating me with respect like I used to have. Sigh. Oh well.

I resort to the 12 year old version of me that refuses to play as a girl. I wouldn't pick a girl in Mortal Kombal and Street Fighter.
yes i have a guldie with a mastered guy pirates and a 40 guy pirates even tho he is a guy.. i personally can only get myself to play as an old fat man not a girl :D
Hahahaha. Please, I do that all the time. It's HILARIOUS. Lawrence, Charles, Hector, Chris... I can keep naming them. However, my guy:girl ratio is pretty steady. It's hilarious when I tell people I'm really a girl though.
All my pirates are guys, but my brother has one girl pirate. Its quite funny when a guy comes up to his girl pirate and says "Wanna be my GF?" and have the response "I'm really a guy." Or even better, pretend to date them for a while and then tell them your real gender. The responses can be hilarious!
I have plenty of girl avatars on other games, none on POTC though. If a single account was allowed more than 4 pirates, I would consider making one.
I have one guy pirate, and my husband has one girl pirate.
Meh. I'm not one of those "male supremacy" people, I just never made one. For one, it doesn't make me feel comfortable in those "wanna be my gf?" situations. For two, my oldest guild has "girl's nights out" often, and I never really wanted to be a part of that. XD

Not on this game, but on Toontown do I have a girl Toon. Literally no one who I don't tell knows that I'm a guy.
I dont call it gender bender, more like a sister to her 3 brothers story line in my case,,, by I do not act feminine at all not I dress it, got long boots, long coat, teacher's blouse (covers all) and face tats, the only skin showing are face and hands... her brothers are pleased with that!

I for one have mAde too girl pirates that I rarely use. |
My first pirate is a girl but I do have a guy pirate. My second pirate is a guy but my third is a girl. I wanted to see what clothing and tattoos guys have. I also wanted to get another cursed blade so I made a guy pirate. Clothing sets like Barbossa's look better on guys. I don't consider it bad to have a guy pirate if you are a girl or the other way around. I usually tell people that I am a girl when they ask to be my girlfriend on my guy pirate. I barely ever have somebody flirting with my guy pirate luckily.

My very first pirate was male, but it just didn't fit-so I deleted said pirate and now have all wenches that play.
I've seen both and I play both... Eliza is still my favorite. And her player (me) is a guy. I also play her brother John and a guy named Bucky. She's been my only girl, save for little Eliza T. Creststeel on Test, who was designed to look like Eliza as a younger woman.
The thing for me - is not to lie about it. I act as Eliza's personality, but I never pretend that I'm a woman behind her toon. That's where things can go wrong. It's not a secret in my guild or with my friends either. Someone asked me why she's my favorite and I think for two reasons - 1) Eliza has a distinct personality and she's likeable. 2) If I have to look at a pirate on my screen for hours at a time, maybe its better that shes easier on the eyes. |
i have 3 guy pirates and 1 girl pirate.
Mastered (back when mastered was 40) my "main" pirate Jason, but since then I only log on as Gabriella. A lot easier to get help and meet nice people as a female pirate.
I recently just made two female pirates, Esmerelda Fireskull and Venus Fireskull. Both basic and levels two and four, but its interesting. I'm curious to see if I get any people drooling after me, as I tried to make them somewhat attractive.
person: Wanna be my GF?! me: I'm a guy.... That would be funny... |
I personally prefer making pirates of my own gender....I have tried making a male but some how it felt wrong for me to be playing a male when I am female....but that's just me! I have lots friends that play both and that's fine!
My only lvl 50 is a girl even though im a guy lolz The rest are guy pirates.
i tried to make one for my three-year old sister, then deleted her (LOL). but, even when i have two boy pirates i mostly play my main (Hector)
I made three. Two were deleted by hand, and my favourite was deleted by Disney.
