How do you request a name?
 

How do you request a guild name? I typed in the name I wanted to have, and I can't figure out how to enter it after pressing " request guild name "

You just press enter after you enter a name. :)

For me, I chose the names like 100 times, nothing happened, or was rejected, finally i tried a theory, and on one of the occasions that it did NOT send a rejection message, I waited a day, then logged in, it was approved, guild name changed.

Are you saying you tried the SAME name over and over, or different names? I am having the same problem.

I'm having the same problem too...even when I just type in random letter combinations (not actual words) it says that there is already a guild with that name, or just switches back to the generic 'Pirate Guild ######'.

Once you enter the name and hit the Enter button, you have to wait 24-36 hours before it tells you it was rejected or until the name shows up.

Instant gratification will just have to take a back seat if you want a specific guild name.

Also if you type in your desired name, press enter. "Think" nothing happened, type it in AGAIN and press enter, you will likely be immediatley rejected being told its already in use.

This is because you entered it the first time. If that happens, set it to something else, then back to what you want and LEAVE IT (once you type it in and press enter... thats it).

You should hear back in 24-36 hours as Rackat mentioned.

If it fails, try it again. I haven't gotten Charming Thieves the first time: as soon as it was rejected, I put it back in again. Got it. Then... lost it.

I have had pirate names rejected a couple times, and kept trying and it was approved eventually (ie the name "OFx Zeppers").

Had the same thing happen with Guild names. I think different Disney reviewers/staff have different criteria for approvals.

I ve heard of a bug regarding guild names. But they have fixed that with the last update.

After ye type the guild name in push enter, just as most of the people above have said. :D

Just a note regarding wait times, I did one this AM for my "anonymous/antisocial" pirate (LoL), and it was approved by the time I checked it again, less than two hours later.

Apparently they're having a slow day. :)

I entered a name that I really liked, but it said it was rejected. I left it as was. The next day, I logged on, and it was accepted! Try!

It will often say it is rejected immediately if you accidently enter it more than once, because it sees your prior attempt and considers at as name already in use.

Guild names seem to be actually reviewed evey 24-48 hours, where pirate names seem to be reviewed every few hours.

You must have hit enter twice or something. Or the rejection you saw was pertaining to prior request. They cannot 'reject' immediately other than as a duplicate (or if it has something inappropriate from thier filters, but that would NEVER be approved)

It the name a person wants is rejected, they can request it again. It will often be accepted on the 2nd or 3rd try.
