What do ye think of the new updates?
 

More specifically the Queen Ann's Revenge. I know that many of us have voiced our opinions on other threads, but I think this deserves a poll!

Personally I think it's awesome, What say ye?

It's a good update but they need to give it a purpose. Add a quest that makes you hunt the Queen Anne's. Something. It's an entree but not the main course.

I agree with TSC there. Its a great update, no doubt about that, but as TSC said, its only the entree. I want to see them do something with it, or have a quest to go along with it. It would be cool if they made an entire quest (size of Raven's Cove or so) about QAR. I also want to see something done with these Jumbees. It would be cool to have an island with a bunch of Jumbees to fight, and then perhaps a Jumbee boss (NOT LaSchafe).

I don't want to say bad about this update, because its a cool one for sure... but its not the entire thing. There has to be something to go along with it. I do sense though, that this will lead to something pretty big. Remember back to Raven's Cove. It started with Invasions, then went to Expedition Fleets (later Treasure Fleets) to the non-existent Raven's Cove. Soon, we got El Patron's Weapons and then later Raven's Cove itself. We've started with the Sword of Triton, and now QAR. I think that eventually we'll get an Island of the Fountain of Youth (if it exists...).

I agree this is cool also. And it seems there really has to be an bigger update that comes along with the QAR, since it is directly from the movie. I think this will lead to 3-4 more updates that are related to POTC 4.

I chose that its a step in the right direction and don't really care :D If I can get on later today without the game crashing then I'll have to try it.. couldn't log in on launcher so I used browser.

I'm pretty happy that they added bosses and stuff, but i'm actually quite happy about the few little things they also fixed. For example, now a crew can board a flagship without the captain, or the adjusted levels according to the attacking pirates' levels on the QAR. Not too bad, POTCO! Just need (at least) these smaller fixes and updates regularly to keep me satisfied between big updates. ;)

As, TSC said, this is most certianly NOT was the main course. THis is just an entree. This needs more.

In my opinion, its a update that the game doesnt really need. If it had more of a purpose, then yes, it would be a update the game needs. More bosses? Especially on islands people dont even go to on a daily basis? What about Foulberto Smasho that takes a full crew of people inorder to kill him? They're adding all these updates that have no purpose and get boring after the first few tries. Yes this is a Disney game, but we shouldnt have to be pretending that this or that happens, which to me it seems like what Disney is doing. If I were in Disney's shoes, Id be adding quests to these updates.

I think they need more servers - its way to crowded.

I agree. They SHOULD add more to this after the movie comes out... like going into the summer. The fact that the sword is missing its rubies is strange. Maybe there will be a few new weapons or new story type quests (either like Raven's Cove or another El Patron's Lost Weapons quest with item rewards). Could get better.:pirate2:

I also agree with Davy and TSC. This needs something more. If I were Disney, when I released this, I would make a better update like a quest and island to go along with it. And, I have a friend whose dad works for Disney, and one time he asked us if we could name a new island. So, it could be a new island for the Jumbees and a better story for the Queen Anne's Revenge.

If ye take this update for what it really is a revamp of Flagships. Then its the greatest update to sea battles since cargo dumping. The flagships now all are worth doing. We have a boss flagship now.

I am glad to see it. I too hope for more story chapters, boss battles , weapons and the like. But this will hold me until the next spoiler of upcoming content!

Where is Speedway Master when ye need him?

More updates are necessary, and I also feel as if this update was a lazy update... For how long I have been watching, waiting for an update to finally show up that had some sense..... This did not at all make the hype any better.

What I think is that we need some flagships that are actually REAL SHIPS from the movies that are special. For example, there could be The Dauntless, a Navy Flagship with some high level officers on board and a Navy Commodore for the boss. The Flying Dutchman, with loads of Davy Jones enemies and that Hammerhead guy as the boss. The Endeavor with a crew of EITC and Mercer as the boss. All of them would be similar to the QAR, with waves of enemies on board, but varying in power (perhaps The Dauntless would be the strength of a Dreadnaught and the Dutchman a SOTL?). Just throwing this idea out there.

Queen Anne's Revenge is a simple boss, nothin too hard, you need at least 2 pirates around my lvl to beat it without a problem. It really needs a story line to go with it.
