New Info on Next Story Chapter Quest!

Looks like there will be a new Story Chapter, but it's coming out in SUMMER!?!? I am NOT going to pay 10 bucks a month until summer for a game that you can't even DO ANYTHING on.

Cars? Online? Pfft.:skull: that should die out within the month.

Why'd you make 2 different threads about the same article?

What I'm excited about is the updated interface/cleaned up look for the game. I think that we may finally see the shiny pirates from the new customization pics.

EDIT: What a marketing campaign next week O_o as if the noobs arent already taking over the game they are going to market it even more

EDIT2: big idea just hit me they said elements from pirates 3 will come into play well i think we might see a new major island called singapore(sp)

is it just me or are a lot of release dates being stretched longer and longer?

Well these thing take time u cant just instantly make a entire new major quest

not just pirates, although i know thats what the forum's about.

Im happy and bummed at the same time.
I cannot believe we have to wait til the summer to get another chapter..

I think they underestimated how many people would get so far so fast in this game. When that boss battle does get enabled.. the game will probably crash from everyone trying to do it at the same time.:sadmh9:
If they cant put the next chapter in til summer.. then please put in a bunch of new mini quests for us to work on. I cant see any incentive if we cant get notoriety for anything after its mastered.. and by summer.. you know most of us will have everything mastered.
I also hope they plan on adding more notoriety levels and weapon levels.... gosh, I really really hope so.

they have to up the noto to at least 50 and up all weapons to at least 30 and add higher lvl enemies because what is the point of doing the next chapter if u dont get any xp dont worry potco is not the stupid they will raise the noto cap and weapon cap

as for waiting try playing vmk :D

if i cancel my membership now, and then sign up in the summer will i still have everything weapon, skill point, etc?

they should let peeps raise their notoriety higher and lvl up their weapons more at least

My two cents: If you're the type of gamer who plays 30 or 40+ hours per week, you'll probably never be happy with PotCO. You'll get a new story chapter this summer, and you'll finish that in less than a month, then you'll be unhappy again.

PotCO is obviously aimed at a more casual gamer. I expect that they'll add story chapters just once or twice per year. In the meantime, they'll add a few minor enhancements like customizations, additional card games, addtional guild options, etc.

I play PotCO about 10-20 hours a week and I am still unhappy. I am reluctant to level my high level weapons because I know mastered weapons give no notoriety, and I am reluctant to do the quests because I want to keep going. So, I'm a Level 31, still only 59% finished with the Black Pearl. I think I am the only staff user that isn't at least 75% done.

Quest a little, level a little, and help others, hang with mateys a lot :)

I'm usually pretty happy playing the game, and I don't get bored all too often.

Yes they are, Disney is trying to keep players locked in to their subscriptions so that they will stay until that release date comes, then gets postponed.. etc etc.
I suggest just paying $80 and buy a year of POTCO, so that when updates come, you wont be left out.
Right, but they dont take too much time. Disney has a very well experienced group of game developers, so they can do it.

Hmm, I would've thought you'd be able to keep your pirate and just be able to play as a free account.

If you cancel you account, you'll lose it all. I think he was talking about cancelling your subscription. They are two different things, but I understand what he's talking about. ^^
