Perhaps this comes as a surprise. I know that it certainly did for me. No matter though. The decision has been made.

Suffice to say, things have been strained and stressful lately, both in Real Life and in game. I've been irrationally angry quite a bit over the past few months, not to mention quick to it and irritation. There's a number of things. My relationships with people have been suffering because of it, and I've grown tired.

For over a year now, almost two, really, I've come into this game with a smile on my face, ready to chat with those best friends I'll never meet and laugh at the joy my guilds bring me. Lately, however, the laughter soon transforms into feelings of irritation, stress, annoyance. I've been told multiple times to "stop taking it out on us," so that's exactly what I'm doing. I'm removing myself from the equation.

Don't worry though, mates. I won't be gone forever. I'll still be lurking around these forums, perhaps popping in game for events and parties, but that's essentially it. I'm going to try cutting myself off from Xfire as well, but many of you know how else to contact me if you need me, one of them being sending me a PM here. For now, however, I need to remember how to keep myself in check and remember what it's like to be me, not Crest, not even "The Person Behind the Screen." Perhaps some day I'll come back full-time. I hope you understand.

Crest, I completely understand your decision to leave, I hope that you will step back take some time off to think about things and eventually come back but just remember that we all love you. you have meant a lot to me as a friend despite not knowing you in real life you have helped me through quite a few problems and I truly appreciate it!!

I remember when I first joined POF, a year ago almost to the day actually. Before too long I had made a few good friends, and you were probably one of the best. Despite being new, you accepted me more than any other person. You trusted me, despite the fact you had only known me for a few months. We shared some conversations that were both goofy and serious, and of course there was that whole Cresvy and Davest thing. Good times, those were.

It was an honor having you as a friend both in game as an officer in the Sorcerors, a Ban-Buddy, and a friend. You've really done so much for me, I can't say it all or I'd take up half the page. You have a lot of good characteristics, and they'll get you quite far in life. You're destined to be great, as you already are to most of us. I understand why you're leaving, and I won't try to dissuade you. I know you well enough to know that you're already final on this decision. ;)

So, before you leave, I give you three cheers! Three cheers for being who you are. For being Kat Crestshot, the person behind the screen, and everyone else you can and will be. Thank you for everything you have done, from making those nice ol' Shadow Sorcerors avatars to helping me in my times of need. Fair winds in your travels, and always remember, that even if you never return here (which I hope does NOT happen), you will always be remembered.

I understand your situation, Crest, and I respect your decision. Real life always comes first. I remember when I first spoke to you on the forums during the Ban Game in May. I haven't been on the forums long, but I feel as if I've made a friend. It's funny how I feel so close to someone that I've never met. Good luck with whatever you decide to do next, Crest, and thank you for gracing us all with your presence.

Cresty, I may not be your best friend, but you certainly are one of mine.

Well I don't know what else to say besides, come back soon, and I'll miss you.

Crest, I've only known you for about 8 months now, but in that time you quickly became someone who I could truly call a close friend. When I think of that, I always think about that time when you sent me a confused PM asking why I had added you on here when we've never really talked before, hehe. And even after that, I think it took a while for both of us to truly warm up to each other, but 8 months later looking back makes all of that hilarious. ;)

It's an honor - not just to me - but to PNC, to have you as a Co-GM. You've done a lot for the guild; so much that sometimes I asked myself how you handled all of that, but I guess that's what happens when you're truly dedicated to something. But even more so, (and I know this part is cliche, but true) you've proven yourself to be one of my closer friends out of both in-game and RL. I've never met you, but you're someone who I can fully trust and freely talk to about almost anything and I wouldn't feel uncomfortable at all. If I'm telling you that then you know you're awesome. <3

I'm sorry that it's come to this, but I completely understand why you made the decision that you did. If you think that it's for the best, it would be idiotic to refute that. The game is great to play if you're having fun, but why should you play if you can't enjoy it?

I'm definitely going to miss the simple things like spamming "CREST MI AMO @O@" in chat or making fun of Tremaine every chance I was given, but it's not like I'll never see you again; and I know that I'll DEFINITELY continue to talk to you - a testament to how far our friendship has come.

This is anything but a goodbye post, but rather...
I truly hope that things get better for you, Crest. If you ever need someone to talk to at all, you know how to reach me. And of course, I definitely look forward to seeing you log onto Xfire and Pirates, but only if you truly feel like it. :buds:

We all have to make decisions in one part of our life, whether they're hard or simple. But there's never an easy way to say goodbye, and I have gained even more respect for you being able to. I'll keep in mind our silly, philological, and downright weird conversations, so that when you do come back, I'll have something epic to talk about ;).

Just know that virtually everyone, if not everyone, on this forum backs you up on your decision. I completely understand and agree that it is what is best for you at the moment. So if you don't mind, I'll steal your words and modify them a bit:

Very sad to see you go, Crest. I've known you for almost a year now, and you've been a great friend. We've had many fun times, on these forums, in all the guilds we're in, and I'm glad I've gotten to know you. I know this won't be goodbye, hopefully you can jump on XF sometimes. See you around!

You were a very good friend, and almost like a role model to me, whether it was being a better person, or being a better guild member. I remember when I first joined Warlordz, how you were always kind to everyone, caring for the guild, etc. I'm really sad to see you leave, but I believe that you made the right choice, if you you believe it.

I wish you a good luck on your journey in RL! I've had to make choices, too and they were not easy. Just remember no matter where you are, we'll always be with you in your heart. ;)

Crest, you have always been my closest friend in this game, if not in my whole life. You are like a sister to me, but closer then siblings can ever get. I have never had a friend who was as loyal and loving and fun and serious, all in the same package, as you. I have yet to meet anyone in game or out, (besides family) who I have felt so close with, despite the thousands of miles that separates us from each other. You have always been there for me when I needed you most. I am on the verge of tears right now, thinking that you will not be online anymore. I know that I can reach you through a variety of ways, but it pains me to see that you are severing two ties that you have with everyone that you have met through the game.

Everyone saw something special in you, including me. Don’t know what it is, but I have always felt more secure when I was around you than with anyone else. I remember the day that we realized that we shared a mutual recruitment date into Partners N Crime. Oh, the joy that we have shared through this year and five months that we have been in PNC! Being with you for this year and a half has given me more joy than I have ever experienced. I just want you to know that you brought true happiness into my life.

Now, as you are going on to do bigger and better things in the world, I want to make sure that you wont forget about us. Us, the people who you laughed with. Us, the people who you ranted to. Us, the people with whom you have shared so many memories with.

Now, I know that you and I will be still in contact, but I want to bid you farewell on this site one last time.

Aww Toothpaste!!!!!!! ( Had to say it ) .. We will miss yer wee alternate Sarah pirate in the DA .. but I'm happy to know it's not a forever goodbye. Pop in anytime - you know we are always being crazy - I'll leave a light on for ya. I make sure yer pirate avoids the boot list so you always have a spot in the Archive should ye find the time to play with us.

ps) Just leave me that map to yer rum stash - I promise I won't tell.

Aww it truly is sad to see you leave Crest aka Kat. I am glad that I was able to talk to you here and there. Come back when you can mate :) we will all miss you dearly. Oh since I have seen others do it you are banned :D and I will also keep an eye on the boot list in case cougar forgets :P. See you around the seas Crestshot!

Aww, you didn't even get to play when I just got my MacBook Pro!!! :'( Oh well, there's always next time lol. Plus, who knows if I go bowling and something happens there, only you know what that means xD
