Find the Silver Scoundrel!
My crewmates are worried that we won't know who's participating or not and that some people may come without posting, so if you plan to come please post it here for us. The Silver Scoundrel) for unholy acts of mutiny against all pirates alike. The bilge-sucking blaggard is guilty as the sea of conspiring to overthrow the Conclave, as by double-crossing, bearing attempts to destroy a piece of eight, and bringing general discourse between members alike. A man hunt is called upon this swab like the ships upon the sea. Beware me hearties, he be a sea dog at worst. Maroon him if ye can. --------------------------------------------------- If you've followed my userpage, you'd notice the odd stuff I've added, and now the truth is revealed! This is the first official POTCO Report event! Also, I know it's sort of like the Dread Pirate Reqium event, but we've tried to tweak it a bit, and make it a little bit harder. ^^ --------------------------------------------------- Rules ---------------------------------------------------No Voodoo! We'll have none of that witchcraft on dis adventure, this means no dolls, no staffs, and no teleportation. Sail only when needed! If ye not need be on the oceans, don't go on de oceans. Only when ye must sail to new islands will ye be allowed to do so. No-one may help you! We be havin' no teams in this adventure! It's a dangerous treasure hunt, so it'll be every man/woman for themselves! Go in order! There may be clues here, that could be true, but if you don't PM me every answer, you'll just end up feeling blue. When you get to the location ye' suspect to find a crew member of the Silver Scoundrel at, say "Where be the scoundrel!" If ye' 'as found the right pirate, he will reveal de next clue to you, if not, keep lookin mates. *** When you get to the end, you're still not done. You have to PM me the answer to every single riddle, and the location of the Silver Scoundrel (A.K.A. Silver Beard) *** On February 9th ye all will be released to hunt the scoundrel! The event begins when the bell tolls three, or 3PM EST for ye landlubbers, and when the bell tolls 8 (8PM EST), the hunt will end and the scoundrel will dissapear. ***This may change, depending on the turnout. --------------------------------------------------- Prizes (Thanks to Tepcat and Captain_Sea for the awards) 1st place will recieve 1000 casino cash 2nd place will recieve 500 casino cash 3rd place will recieve 500 casino cash --------------------------------------------------- Good luck mateys, and here be you're first challenge... His name isn't the "silver scoundrel", it's Silver Beard, but we didn't just want to call him that through the entire thing. ^^

Bess McMorgan here, I like the idea, however I've just found this forum and am trying to figure out the forum, your post is the first I've read and I really like the idea of the game. I'd like to participate if I can, will the link in your earlier posts take me to a place that will give me more details?

I was looking for more info about the event. I thought there was a link on your original post; I was reading thru all the posts before I went back to your first announcement about the event. You had made mention about pm you answers to the clues and so forth. I'm having a hard time reading the text on the forum; I need to find a way to enlarge the display fonts I think.

Ah, I understand what you're saying. Here's what I mean by that.
When you find the "Silver Scoundrel" (Silver Beard's his name), you have to PM the answer to each riddle, that way we know you didn't skip a clue or 2. We have other ways to enforce this during the event, but it's a failsafe all the same. ^^ PS: That better? There's no way to enlarge it I don't think, unless you're typing it. |

I can try to participate. I'm using Jack LittleWorths. It's gonna be hard to protect myself without voodoo on certain islands,but Okay.

I'll add you in, and the only thing I can say is be stealthy, because we've not told our "secret staff" and bias on if they should kill stuff in the area or not. ^^

Okay so it is the slow one here again. The first thing we need to do is figure out the server and pm you the name correct? Then we log in at 3 and have until 8 to find him. Are there any clues or steps I'm missing that I should be doing now?

The Ocean(server) is the only exception. Since we know everyone will be there we don't have to have that PM'd to us. As to the time you're right on it.
Clue wise I'll explain on the day of the event. Let me put it this way though. You won't just be hunting him, but his crew. (You'll eventually get to him though. ^^) That's about all I can say until the day of the event. ^^ |
But fellow pirates! Make sure you register for the event, you don't have to, but it's easier for us if you win, because we'll have your forum and pirate name.

arg tomorrow O_o erm pm me the news when ye can i MAY not be able to make it but i also MAY be able to no way of knowing i will do everything in my power (which isnt much :vlaugh:) to try to be on at those hours
