Brig release date

When will the brig out? It was released on October 7 test. It is now October 17th and still nothing. Are there no confirmed release date's?

akamystic 10-17-2011 01:19 PM

Not that I'm aware of. I can tell you there are major issues that need to be corrected before they even consider release to live. I've been submitting reports every time I'm on test.

Dark_Pixie 10-17-2011 03:02 PM

Ten days isn't long enough to fix all the bugs surrounding the Brig. I think it will be out in late October to mid-November, considering all the problems in the test server right now.

CharlesGoldburn 10-17-2011 05:22 PM

-_____________- sucks i was hoping for an update!! -____________-

Rannulf 10-17-2011 05:45 PM

A bug fix has yet to be made on test. There are so many problems right now who knows how long till this goes live.

If this went live right now it would be a disaster!

Stephen O'Malley 10-17-2011 10:31 PM

My guess is that the developers want to release the Brig and customization after the Moon and Halloween are over.

leo 10-18-2011 02:16 AM

Mates, realize that rushing this update into live is the last thing we need. On test, there has been so many bugs that make testing hard therefore sit back patiently and wait. This has to be a quality update to make fun for the game and remember that lag could also increase when this comes to live so that's another major issues they have to work on...

Captian Blimey John 10-18-2011 02:47 PM

Leo, I think there's a difference between fixing bugs and dawdling around for 10 days without really doing anything.

akamystic 10-18-2011 03:03 PM

If this were to hit live as it is now, you'd have mutiny. I personally wouldn't be able to play with all the crashes and disconnects. We all need to do our part by testing/submitting to help the Devs.

I personally would rather wait until December if that is what it takes to get everything ironed out. The last thing we need are serious issues all over the live servers.

Mr. Gibs 10-19-2011 10:17 AM

Too bad!

Too bad because they also said that all basic members are allowed to use ALL light class (light Frigate & light BRIG)!

Igor say they not dawdling mate!! Igor say for the first two days one could even land a ship with out crashing.. Igor say that seems to be fixed now. Igor say for the next three days the hunters are on yo yo strings that is still not fixed. Igor say third not everyone is getting loot when the are shooting the ships on test.. Igor say all this and many other things are broken.. Igor say you would not like this update at all if it is not fixed. Igor say patients is a virtue that we all must exercise.

Rannulf 10-19-2011 09:50 PM

Igor hit this one out of the park. Until more patches are applied this update needs to stay on test.

I have lost more loot then I have been awarded. I lost 60 skull chests at sea. I no longer count them. Sailing for materials with the yo yo hunters is starting to get under my skin, as well as other testers.

Now with the svs bug being abused I have lost even more hard earned materials. Materials and gold are needed for every ship upgrade. Rare materials are very hard to come by. Ye need to sink hunter warships for the highest chance of receiving them. Ye can get them from any war class ship but this is rare. I have sunk at least a 1000 ships and have got two rare material chests from non-Hunter warships.

To be on the way to port with 7 Rare material chests, and 8 regular material chest to be disconnected by an svs crasher is just plain madding. This bug was discovered minutes after test came back, and has been reported several times.

If this was live I would of quit the game by now, but test its the way the cookie crumbles. So as Igor said be patient, and drink a warm cup of hold the heck on. These bugs will be fixed as soon as the Dev team can. Everyone knows a metric ton of live players are coming unglued waiting for this epic update!

CaptainSam 10-20-2011 02:00 AM

Dont rush Disney. They only have so much devs helping

akamystic 10-20-2011 03:00 AM

Test was updated tonight with new release notes. The big disconnect issue with SVS has been addressed.

There is a difference but are ye considering their days off work(the do have breaks as well) and the state of test ATM. They cannot just fix something without making sure it's fixed because it could lead to more problems. Patience!

And to much complaining about this will push them for a rushed release that will horrify the game. Everyone remembers the side effects of Ravens cove and the resets...We have had this content in our heads for years and now that we are 100% sure it will come to live, Let them take their time no matter how long it takes because eventually it will come to live.

The current test update still doesn't have a fix for the following:
  • Swift Foot Potion speed glitch
  • Fast Switch glitch (Emote click + Emote short-cut type method)

It is NOT ready for live until at least these two major problems are fixed.

Tobias Daggercrash 10-21-2011 07:27 PM

You are absolutely right, Leo. We do not want an rushed update like the QAR.

Lego Ninja 3 10-29-2011 04:37 PM

Someone told me it will be out on Monday, But it may not be true.

timmy0929 10-30-2011 10:58 PM

i know i read where it said for the game not test but for the real game dec 2011

Richard Keelhawk 11-07-2011 12:37 AM

Give em a few weeks they are not gonna rush it out in live a few days after its in the test server there are still MANY bugs they are going to fix so just wait a while.

Cat Toy 11-08-2011 08:03 PM

I'd much rather have a long working update than a short buggy one. Although, I can't wait either! :piratetongueor4:

Chalupa 11-09-2011 01:30 AM

I think they are going to release this on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. My reasons behind this are that although there are still many unfixed bugs and glitches, I think that it is a small enough number to correct by Thanksgiving, and that if they release them on Thanksgiving weekend, people will get hooked and purchase unlimited if they haven't yet, or play even more. I know for a fact that when these updates come out, my guilds average volume will at least double because it will give masters and non-masters something to do.

Davy HelmHound 11-19-2011 11:42 PM

Well its the week of Thanksgiving and where is it?

Well first off, I meant on either Wednesday or Friday of Thanksgiving weekend. Secondly, I do not know for sure when they are coming out, I did not make the game. :P

The Skirata Clan 11-20-2011 06:23 AM

I for one applaud the Dev group for fully testing and trying to fix this update before releasing it.

I agree. This update is important and needs the bugs ironed out.If it's released early it'll be a disaster.

I agree. Although it has been a wee bit long now, and I personally would rather see the wheel switch bug, svs bugs (including the ones on live) and riggging bug fixed before live, BUT I am growing impatient :zu04s0:

Mr. Gibs 12-13-2011 10:00 PM

I think they release it somewhere in christmas, if its still now out after christmas is over then there is chance that it will come in new year. And when did they start designing and creating de brig?

I am going the same way, I'm just hoping it comes before 2012.
