Body shape?

This may be an odd question, but I'm just wondering where the heck is the option to pick this type of body shape when making a pirate? (picture below) I've seen many girls who had this body shape (long and slim), but there isn't this option anywhere to pick this. All the other option just have large hipbones. LOL well anyhow... any help is greatly appreciated!

That is an old pirate.
POTC got an update over a year ago(?) which redid body shapes. You can probably form something similar, but it is unobtainable right now. |

Is this the same Jennny on PHF? I hope so! In my opinion, the best pirate to pick would be the second to the last when in the welcome area. Closest to what you are looking for. ;) Enjoy and welcome! |
What Stephen said. I got the same disappointment when trying to make a male character - I wanted that triangular body shape! :P Unfortunately the options available to you now when you make a character are all you're able to get. Sorry!

Yes. Many people ask me about my shape also. My pirate has one of the older bodies. POTCO stated about last year that they would change the bodies so they would look more realistic. This, I agree with for the guys. Some people looked like they had no body on them whatsoever! And other guys chose the big broad chest. I chose the average at that time. But yeah, you can no longer get those.. Sorry!

See I have on of the older bodies, yes they don't look realistic, but here is what I don't get. They remove the old bodies because they don't look "realistic" Yet they leave the ships as they are. O_O The ships are soooooo unrealistic. I mean the Galleons look like Captain Crunches ship, the Frigates look like a shoe box with a point and a mast. And the sloops look like a Giant Pair of Flip-Flops. So IMO the old bodies were better, but try and tell anything to Disney, they give the automated message back saying thanks for the suggestion -_-

I personally don't care for the new male bodies. I thought the old ones looked nicer (glad I still have three of them).

Well, seems like it will be an eternity when POTCO will return the old bodies. The faster way is to virtually bring back your deleted pirate from yesteryear when he had the old body. You just need to remember the name and the date [as close to it as you remember] of his deletion for Tech support to bring him back. I plan to do that. He looks identical to my first pirate. hehe ;)

That's what I'm reading here Pangolin. According to the last two posters, we can't get them back after seven days. I know what their policy was and at the time I was told the same about the 7-day removal process. Support clarified to me about the confusion. I tried to contact support last week but ran into a bug at their feedback. Ended up sending a bug report instead. lol
Anyway, that feedback worked today. I tested it by requesting that they add Spineskull to the chat dictionary. Just one of those that shouldn't be in italics. rofl Afterwards, I went through my email and found their official statement from way back when. I copied and pasted that in my feedback regarding this matter. I frankly need another clarification from them again. I appreciate what Captain Sharktooth and Cannonfury stated, but I need to read it for myself. If they changed their policy, fine. It will lead to some other stuff that I think needs to be addressed. And to that end, I will see very satisfying results. |

Okay, as promised, they did change their policy. They admit to changing other policies over the years which I did not ask which in particular. According to POTCO, there are two timetables for players to restore their deleted pirates. Those with Basic membership have 7 days to get them back while those with Unlimited Access have 30 days. Big difference. It is very important to contact their Tech Support as soon as possible. I did not ask if that timetable is lengthened or shortened when membership has changed from Basic to Unlimited or from Unlimited to Basic. My conservative guess is that it remains the same based on whatever the current membership was. In any case, contact them immediately just to be on the safe side.
Now, it is true that at this time POTCO will not change this new policy about restoring pirates like they use to. Much of it has to do with graphical errors they wanted to remove and smooth over. For those of us who did not see such errors nor made a big issue about them, this doesn't make sense. We have seen all sorts of graphical errors with NPCs and with those new bodies. Apparently, they simply streamlined it regardless so the game runs better for most if not all of their customers. I can understand that. It's possible for them to change their minds again. I don't think they will go back to the old bodies. Yes, they said they won't but if they change their minds, then an alternative will present itself. If one did which allowed you to have that old body style, would you like that? |

Remember the semi - muscular one? The one before the Triangle that seems so popular when I see a level 50? I have that old body shape. That's what I got. I'm glad I got that because Triangle people were so popular and common that it sometimes annoyed me. And I look GREAT with tattoos and piercings :) ( Not to brag, but many pirates do look awesome in that. ) Now all I want is a Dwarf body shape...:dancetl6:

Well I for one think the older male body with the tiny waist and huge shoulders looks disgusting. I'm not sure I can take one of those pirates seriously, they look like something out of an OLD cartoon. I wish that, when Disney eliminated that choice, they'd substituted proper bodies for those deformed freaks.
Is this some kind of male fantasy to look absurdly muscular or something? Maybe we should pole the female players. I think a lot of them would agree with me. Who exactly are you trying to impress with your comical body? Crimson Rose |
