Where is the best place to find famed and legendary weapons?

Can somebody plz tell me where the best place is to find famed and legendary weapons?

It's really random. I've had good luck in the gold room in Tormenta and had times where I got nothing. The same goes for Ravens Cove (4 ghosts around idle). I've gotten things from bosses and other times nothing. The other day I was running around Cutthroat and was randomly looting. I ended up with a Famed dagger from a standard NPC!

Your chances are best at Tormenta and Ravens Cove IMO. But anything is possible. Try bosses....and if you can get a party of pirates visit Foulberto on Ravens Cove.

You can find really good famed items at Darkhart. I even found the Lost Sword of El Patron there once.

Haha, I remember that and was back at Cutthroat last night! Ironically found a black headband there for my pirate. So I agree, completely random. But alas, Tormenta is my bet.

Hi there, I'll try to help you as best I can. I've gotten over 150 Famed and 6 Legendary (2 Lost Sword, 2 Silver Freeze, Blade of the Abyss, and Behemoth Blade) so I know a thing or two about looting. Your best places are going to be Mines, Darkhart, and Tormenta. Mines is my preferred place to loot at but it will take a LOT longer to get good loot. The thing with the mines is all about patience. I like to blunder all 4 ghosts at once because the faster you kill, the faster they re-spawn, and the faster loot will drop. When I go to Tormenta I usually do laps around the main place hitting all the "good spots." Usually people get their best loot in the first half hour of looting so server hopping might also be a good choice. Also, one last thing. You're gonna need to kill a lot of enemies - 200 a day won't get you anything, you're going to need to get around 800-1000 to have the best chances. Good luck!

Yeah, I found one famed sword, Corsair's Cutlass, from a Dregs on Tormenta. Thank you. By the way, where is Darkhart?

Padres Del Fuego. Start by going into Beckett's Quarry, then to the farthest cave entrance to El Sudoron. Run through El Sudoron and you'll find yourself at the back of Padres Del Fuego (Las Pulgas). You should see the gypsy boss, Timothy Dartan, in front of you. Run to the left, round the geysers until you see a wooden arch on your left. Go through the arch and you'll be at Darkhart.

Abassa Darkhart is known for good gold, but fighting there solo is going to get you better rep. I've got lots of famed from Darkhart, on different servers. He's my favourite boss. :)

There are a few bugs that you can do to get to Darkhart quicker, but your most reliable route is the one above. Just use a Swift Foot and you'll be there in no time. Plus, it doesn't fill up your screenshot folder. ;)

Thank you. Isn't El Sudoron the forest place with the Corrupt Stumps?

Nate Swordwalker 02-21-2012 01:51 AM

Yep. Got the Alligator boss as well.

Captain Jorden 02-21-2012 07:23 AM

Its random, you can get fame from fishingnand sailing. Best bet is, I've had good experiance at mines and at the bridge of tormenta.

Crimson Rose 02-21-2012 07:41 PM

Picked up TWO famed blades in Isla Tormenta yesterday. I didn't even notice one, because we were in the treasure room and fighting furiously. I was just accepting loot as I noticed it.

That treasure room seems to be a good bet.

Has anyone seen General Darkhart recently? The last 3-4 times I dropped in to chat, he wasn't there. Last time, Timothy Darton wasn't there either.

Haven't been back for a chat yet today.

Were you at Abassa? Because sometimes when you run away to disengage an enemy, it can sometimes run off and fall through the ground somewhere, nowhere to be found until the next server reset. You might have just been unlucky and had that happen to you that many times in a row.

Crimson Rose 02-22-2012 05:14 PM

No, I was not on Abassa. I avoid that server and Andaba as much as possible. They are popular, yes, but I'm not sure why. When they are full - which happens often at peak times - I start noticing a little bit of a lag, which can be frustrating. Not only that, but with those servers I often find the portals don't work.

I will somethings use the early servers during off-times because there are more ships there, but I prefer the servers toward the bottom of the list. The portals almost always work on them, and there is never any lag.

As others have said it is mostly random but higher level guys and bosses give better loot. Darkhart, Neban, Remington, mines, and tormenta are all very good places. I did however get my lost sword from a lvl 26 spineskull! Now that was lucky! :laughks2:

Spineskulls and Flotsams are levels 28-35.

Crimson Rose 02-26-2012 06:05 AM

I picked up another famed blade in Isla Tormenta today. It was in the large cavern with the spineskulls and flotsams that is separated down the middle with a stream with a granite bridge across it. I killed off a spineskull and just noticed the unexpected item in the skull loot chest. I'd been there for a while because I was doing "live" practice with my grenades. I was surprised because I got the impression that these things were mainly found in the treasure chamber.

What am I supposed to do with all these blades? I can only use one at a time after all. :12_1_138: Why can't I give them away to other pirates?

So you made up your mind as to which blade or blades are worth keeping and which blade or blades are not worth keeping? All weapons and clothing not worthy of keeping are meant to be sold or trashed. POTCO has decided not to allow trading. Maybe later that will happen, but it is doubtful.

What we would prefer is a larger inventory or a second sea chest to transfer these weapons worth keeping. The second sea chest would most likely be located in a Captain's Quarters on regular and war class ships.

With the double plunder weekend going on, I would advise that you get online today - only one day of it remaining! Yesterday I found the Sabre Of The Inquisition at the Raven's Cove mines on Bequermo, at the four ghosts. It was rather funny - I had just joined up with a crew who had been there for ages, and on one of my early battles I recieved the sabre.

I think the trick is definitely to find a server and area that has/had some people already fighting there. I believe areas are like slot machines - use them for long enough and they'll pay out. This has been apparent on three occasions with me and a friend. I loot a lot with him, as we're online at the same time mostly. The first time this happened was at Darkhart on a quiet server. I'd been looting there for quite a while, and he teleports to me and gets the Lost Sword on his first kill. :P It happened again yesterday, before the double plunder event started. He teleported to me when I'd just got to the mines. I was about to leave, after seeing that there were others there. He shoots a Devious Ghost and recieves the Sharkfang Blade. LOL! And the third time was explained in the above paragraph.

I'm beginning to wonder if loot actually is random. If someone has been fighting at the same area for a long time, you'll get better loot if you join in later. That's why I track what servers Captain Sharktooth uses sometimes. :P Try Abassa sometimes, because as there are almost always people fighting in the main areas (Tormenta, Raven's Cove, Darkhart, Neban), loot will cycle through a lot faster. Drop in whenever you feel like it, and one day you might get lucky. ;)

Platinum Pirate 02-26-2012 07:44 PM

LOL

You noticed that too? Go to those places that's been worked or cultivated by others to increase your chance of getting that bumper crop? Oh yeah, seems that way. It can be like fishing too. Best time of day is first thing in the morning.

As for me, let's just say, I've seen something else at work. Call it magic if you like or still deem it as pure coincidence. They eagerly give them based on our 'deal'. True story.

Dark_Pixie 02-26-2012 07:56 PM

Perhaps we'll get better loot if we bring up a thought bubble saying 'I love Disney'?

One time at Abassa DH, this person put up a thought bubble that said 'My middle name = Skull chest' and he said it before every kill, and for about 5 kills we got a skull every time he said it. Probably just a coincidence. :laughks2:

You can pretty much get anything anywhere. I often go to Raven's Cove at the oh I can't remember what it is called, the idol! Yea, lol. And I also go to Tormenta, the thrall room is best if you are a higher level. For a little lower, go to the gold room. These are the best places I've heard so far.
