Anything Special With Founder Status?(POF)
 

I've been wondering, and I've noticed my thing under my name says Founder in gold. Is there anything special about this status?:mybadki6:

I think it means that you just have a lot of gold.But don't quote me on that I'm not sure

The Founder status on POTCO is not what I'm talking about.

I'm talking about the POF Status. Notice how Deltore has a "Pirate" status in red letters, and I have "Founder" in gold letters.

Means you were one of the first 5000 to sign up to the site, which gives you a free lifetime subscription minus the PM space pretty much.

So, if you have this status, you get the free lifetime subscription minus the PM space? I need a mod to comfirm this.

According to the other thread, Founder is full members and Pirate is normal users.

Not sure what the benefit is for full members.

I'll rephrase what I said. You get extra's that "pirate" doesn't have, including

• Free Signature
• Free Userpage
• Free unlimited Gallery Space

And some other stuff that I possibly can't think of right now.

But, as long as we are here, we get those things forever, So the things w have are lifetime, but the LIFETIME SUBSCRIPTION we don't have.

The founder status here on POF has nothing to do with POTCO.

If you were one of the first 5,000 members to join POF, you got the following:

A Free Signature
A Free User Page (UP)
A "Founder" name under your name on all posts, unless you take it off, by going to your Group Memberships page, which is under the User CP page.

That is all I believe that we get.

Only thing I'll add, is that you cannot remove founder, the same way I can't remove clan leader. ^^

lol yea i noticed u cant take it off i would never take it off :p but just in case doesnt matter anymore does this mean that bc u cant take it off that founder get 3 spaces (1 founder, 2 options [reporting pirate, ranter, book club]) ???

Actually, only clan leaders, dread pirate hunters, and staff(?) may have three, as those titles are non-removable. (The green in you're name just dissapears, the title stays.)

Everyone automatically gets one of the 3 which can't be removed:
mod status
founder
pirate

Now we do have a couple that if you obtain it, you can't get rid of it:
pirate hunter
clan leader

Now all the rest, are option to display on your profiles:
clan membership
other joinable usergroups to different areas of the forums, such as ranter, The Helm, etc.


So everyone gets 1 rank image to start with. Everyone can get 2, one from their memebership status and 1 for a joinable usergroup. A handful can obtain 3 images. Such as clan leader, your clan, and membership status.

Very few can obtain 4 rank images, but only a handfull of users on the whole forum can get that many.

We'll probably have another pirate hunter contest later in the year. Those that have them now will loose that rank image. This will give all those newer to the forums to obtain one of those rank images.


Hope that make some sense of things. Ranking system is still fairly new to us and it is a limited feature of the forums. Hopefully, we'll be making some minor corrections in time and making more use of this feature.
