Blackjack Friday?
 

Ok, I've searched and found nothing (well... got lost reading other threads for an hour! lol). I remember reading about it early on in my pirating career, but seem to have misplaced that memory somewhere.
What is Blackjack Friday about? Are there prizes or something? I was in top ten of Blackjack hands won last Friday (first ever leaderboard appearance-woot!), but I wondered what lavish prizes I could have got if I had played all night.

I think once the winners would get something(visit www.piratesonline.com for more info on that) I personally tried it last Friday in Kings Arm, the NPC player had a 10, Idk what the dealer had, but nothing was happening. Blackjack was frozen and couldn't play.

There is nothing special about blackjack friday, you can't win any good gold because the bets you can place are sadly low.

Just think of Blackjack Friday as a failed attempt at an event ;)

Bet Depends
 

Actually blackjack and blackjack friday's bet depends on wherever u are, for example: Port Royal max bet: 250 PDF max bet:500!

Black Jack riday is only to remind people that the card game exists and wants u to play it.

Supposedly, the blackjack leaderboards on the xD channel are based on this event. I 'think' you have to play at one of the two taverns indicated, which does keep the limit low.

It's like Poker Night, but lasts the Whole Day

Basically, Blackjack Friday is a chance for you to get together with your Guildmates and fellow Pirates to play Blackjack. Think of it kind of like Poker night, it just lasts the whole day.

On PDF the pot is already 500.

It's just an event, a way to get more people playing. Like people would have a guild night or something, they just want a Blackjack night :) But on Fridays, Blackjack is the last thing i'll be doing on pirates lol.

Black Jack friday is similar to what toontown does.
Silly saturdays, Bingo wednesdays, etc...
The leaders boards from what I understand is everyday.
But there is one for blackjack fridays.
It changes everyday so it is a daily thing but I think another leaderboard appears for black jack fridays but i'm not sure.

Blackjack Fridays events mean you will lose even more that usual.

Blackjack Friday means your chat window scrolls off with bjf messages every time you switch servers, looking for an un-pirated Kingshead or a busy SvS (or any of a dozen other reasons you might switch servers over and over.)

It would be nice if it just quietly went away. Maybe once ever other month might make it special. idk.

I always seem to exit the annoying box that comes up every time you come online on Friday. The Blackjack Friday box to be exact. (I never cared, Lol.) I have only played that game probably seven times the whole time I have ever played. Ya. I know! I am definately not a Blackjack player! (I like Poker a little though)

Seems like it is just something not for a prize or anything, found this in the News Archive, so it looks like just a time waster to me.

thats what im guessing it is. nothing. it might just be some kind of advertisement saying "Waste your money betting on blackjack! the dealer will be happy!"

Someone, observe your money as you play, and post your findings. Some things to look for:

1-Extended play limits (50 is the limit for some tables, 500 for others);
2-Bigger bets allowed normal (if you bet 50, see if 100 is taken away)
3-Bigger wins than normal (if you bet 50, see if you win 100 or 200 or something)
4-Some other peculiarity

blackjack friday is simply normal everyday POTCO blackjack in simple words :) nothing specil.

Been there done that. No difference.

I believe its just a promotion to get people to play blackjack.
