Difficulty getting Cuba port quest
 

I was wondering if anyone else has not been able to get the cuba port quest?

I know where it starts and how to do it, but the quest person won't talk to me.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I just found a bunch of messages from other folks having this problem. I'll take it up with Support. :)

One of my little pirates just reached lev 14, and the quest just popped up in my journal. Are you at lev 14 yet?

I have one character that has completed the Cuba, Tortuga and Port Royal teleports.
I have another character at level 18 that has not received the Cuba or Port Royal teleport quests yet. The quest givers will not give me the quests.
Should I report a bug at this point?

If you're at lev 18 and have not gotten Cuba or PR tp quests, then yes, I'd call support. They should show up in your journal automaticly.

yea this seems to be a growing problem

oh well that just bites!


i havent had either tp quests either, along with the grenade quest.


all i have is the tortuga one done, and my only quest options are visit carver (havent even bothered with the story quest at this point)

I have a level 26, who STILL doesn't have Cuba.

A WORD OF WARNING!

My test server pirate didn't get the Cuba Teleport Quest, either -- and it took me a couple weeks of bug reports to Tech Support before they finally fixed it. By which time, I was Level 22.

BUT --

When it appeared in my journal, it wiped out all the progress I had made on the Grenade Quest!!! I was more than halfway done, and had to start it all over again. I was NOT a happy pirate....

Now history has repeated itself, and I have not received the Padres teleport quest. Before sending in a bug report, however, I made darn sure I had those grenades safely in my pocket. I was not about to go through that again.

Cuba port opens at I think noto 8 or 10. Port royal port opens at not 12. Padres opens at Not 23. Those 3 are buggy right now. I got lucky and was able to get all 3. Also the nades is buggy. Some people dont get the quest at not 20 like they should. POTC is aware and are "Working on it"

I have yet to hear from support about the PDF teleport, and it's been a week. I've contacted live chat twice, and they were totally useless ("nothing we can do" and "our bug report tool is down").

Getting a little disgusted...

Teleporting is overated. I love me a good sail on the high seas. I never saw Captain Jack Sparrow teleporting around the Carribean...

yeah sailing is fun..

i just love wading through a bunch of light sloops to go where i need to go, hoping they dont get close enough to click on me for the go to bug, or having my ship instantly filled because a friend tp'd to me, and in turn his friends did the same.. and all start firing at everything, or asking me to go here, or i need this many ships for this quest, while im just going to port royal to see a quest person, yeah overrated..

personally i dont know your playing style..whatever works for you.
but id like it back, along with the ability to even GET the grenade quest before im 30.

Yeah...you're right, everyone is different. Some people are in more of a hurry than I am. Those things you mentioned don't really bother me. I like the more realistic approach to navigating around rather than teleport (aside from meeting up with Guild)...adds difficulty and more strategy to the game. If someone asks to hunt down a EITC or something, if it's somewhat on my way, I'll go after whatever anyone on my ship needs. I think it's funny when my ship gets a full crew out of nowhere. The other night I went out alone and ended up with a full crew that took out at least two dozen ships on the way from Tortuga to Port Royal. I love the challenge of trying to out-manuever 5 ships attacking at once....and I don't really care if my ship sinks. My fleet of Storm ships are the ones in the heat of the battle, not hanging back firing from afar. If you see one...feel free to jump aboard :hiuf3:

...but what's this about no grenades before lvl 30? I didn't know that...I've been waiting to get my hands on those.

Yeah my second character didnt get the PR or Cuba teleport but I had no problem with the grenades.

Guess i have to contact support but i am waiting till everything else is finished... lvl 29 now and close to 30 so its staff time.

while i like the green sea..id rather have my grenades and all..

i did get the padres tp, and the tortuga one, but still no port royal and cuba.

I have two characters at lv 22...(different playing styles)...and so far Ive gotten everything Im supposed too at the right level... I totaly just jinxed myself right before the Padres teleport quest didnt I?

I previously had a problem with the Cuba Teleport Quest on Test (see earlier post) and am currently experiencing the same thing with Padres Teleport. I got a response from Tech Support to my missing Padres Teleport Quest last Friday.

It said: We believe the problem you reported has been fixed in the test server, so please try again.

Well, it hasn't been fixed. No entry appears in my journal, and Romany Bev has nothing for me. I have logged in at least a half dozen times since receiving their response, but nothing has changed. So I have sent in yet another report, informing them that the problem persists -- despite their belief that it has been fixed.

Since any game-wide "fix" would probably happen on Test first, I'd say the prognosis doesn't look good for Open right now.

i was kinda hoping the update last night would have fixed it..but nope.

now level 30 with a staff and still no grenades, cuba tp, or port royal tp.

i honestly had faith in disney and half joked id have my staff before my grenades..sadly it turned out to be true.

im wondering if i should stop leveling entirely just cause i knwo theyre a pain to level higher up, till disney gets their priorities straight.

It may be fixed for players that hit that level, but people that already hit the level but didn't get it may need manual intervention.

UPDATE:

I logged onto the test server late last night and -- lo and behold! -- found a journal entry to Visit Romany Bev to begin the Padres Teleport Quest. :dancetl6:
I stayed up late to finish it. I wasn't taking any chances that it might mysteriously disappear.

My suggestion to those who are still missing quests (whether PR, Cuba, Grenades, or whatever):

In addition to sending in a bug report, send an email to [email protected]
Both times that I supplemented a bug report with a separate email to Member Services, my missing quest (whether Cuba or Padres) appeared within a day or two. Maybe this was just coincidence, but it can't hurt to try, can it?

so i will wait and see, and let anyone know what sort of, if any response or fix/workaround i get. i hope anyways.

My Cuba, Port Royal, and grenade quests appeared after the maintenance, so hope it also happened for everyone else :)
