Phew, marathon.

Angel 05-01-2008 07:32 AM

LOL not me. I should, but I was dealin with graphic issues all day. Literally runnin out of my clothes and hair. Not good!!!

Leo Dampskull 05-01-2008 07:35 AM

WOW I only got the dagger and half way through the Cutlass...Also started the Doll quest...

Angel 05-01-2008 07:41 AM

Ive got all quests started, just havent got around to completing one lol

Lilly Moonshine 05-01-2008 07:47 AM

I started them all but I did finish the Gun and the Voodoo Doll quests. I wish it wasn't down right now I'm in quest mode and ready to complete the rest :)

Twisted 05-01-2008 08:10 AM

LOL if you finished all of it in the same day you need to go for a jog or something... I got them all started but not even close to finishing. I have been running around like a chicken with its head cut off trying to catch up to guildies! lol

dangerousden 05-01-2008 11:44 AM

I've started all quests at once, well the main ones for the weapons anyway. I'm not too bothered about quests for special tattoos.

I'm most of the way through the Caribbean Cruise quests (Or island hopping). If only each island had Duty Free I would be set up for Christmas.

Leon Sharkshot 05-01-2008 01:41 PM

Wow you're obviously more game savvy than I. I haven't finished 1.

Rackat 05-01-2008 03:01 PM

Finished the Pistol.
Started the Doll...but not too important to me since I am lv25.
Started the Staff Quest.
Started the Dagger Quest.

Started getting numb fingers after the 4th hour online and had to stop. :D

Bilgepump 05-01-2008 03:11 PM

I started them all, but nowhere near finished.

What I'm doing is continuing a single quest as long as each step is "visit someone on some island I can teleport to". When it hits a "sail off someplace" or "kill x amount of y", I go to the next quest.

When everything's at either sail-to or kill, I start sailing and killing, because a lot of them overlap, and by doing one, I'm also doing another.

Seems to be working ok.

Soul Patch The Fiesty 05-01-2008 03:22 PM

That's a great idea BP with the multiple quests at one time, I too found that out early on, and everyone should know it.

Fortunately for me, what keeps me going is my love of the ship combat. When I get to a quest that requires me to kill creatures, I do it fast cause I know after that it will be blowing ships up. When I have blowing ships up tasks I have a blast (PUN!). Then I have to steal or kill creatures, so I do that as quickly as possible to get back to ships. It keeps my pace pretty good in game.

Also, I'm more likely to ask for help killing creatures than ships. My creaturing killing skills are low, so I'm not that good at it lol. I have a 16 in cannon, and like a 10 in dolls, everything else is 8 or lower.

Yes. Biggest lesson I ever learned from ToonTown. Killing two (or three, or four) birds with one stone helps a lot. These lists are long, every little bit helps :)

And even if they don't overlap exactly (like both requiring EITC ships to be sunk), there are still many of them that can be completed in the same area. I was in Cutthroat Jungle working on 3 different quests- killing Large Gators, Fly Traps and Stumps just circling around while they regenerated. And then wandered over for some high level skeletons. If I was working through one quest at a time, I would get frustrated having already been there for the previous task.

But what to call it- multitasking or parallel questing?

And to add a non-sequitor, I think Cutthroat is a little like Walmart. You can find a little bit of everything there.

I prefer to think of it as "Target". LOL! :laughks2:

dangerousden 05-01-2008 03:59 PM

Parallel questing. I like that :)

Thats what my missus and I do. We quest together, that's why I am also running all the quests together. Sail from island to island, sink the ships, get the required monsters while there.

Starfury 05-01-2008 05:57 PM

I started them all and have gotten about halfway on them. I'm going to concentrate on the pistol/dagger first, then staff and finish w/ cutlass. The doll i'm at LV 25 so not much need for a new one. At least it's something to do in the game.

Angel 05-01-2008 07:45 PM

I do have to agree about cutthroat having it all, then again so does El Sudoron in Padres and you dont have to sail there. Thats where I do most of my shopping :)

dangerousden 05-02-2008 12:51 PM

I like "shopping" in El Sudoron too. I am almost finished with Tia's quest and the the cutlass quest. Might have it completed tonight (UK time)

Macon The Black 05-02-2008 03:03 PM

I finished everything last night. now i guess just wait for the next update. the longest was the book of lore from will. what i learned though is at the end you have to dig 16 chests, from rumrunners, cangrejos and kingshead. well you can just wait for the same spot to dig to come back up(about 30seconds or so) instead of finding all these different spots. good luck everyone

Bilgepump 05-03-2008 04:58 AM

All new weapon quests finished. Finally.

Angel 05-03-2008 07:30 AM

Same here. The worst was the sword, I mean it made me hate sailing!!! I think I need to check how many ships I sunk today cause whatever the quests were for, add about 10 times that!!!

MollyStormkidd 05-03-2008 09:23 AM

I'm too low to get wep quests :cries:

Yeah, that was something of a drag. We lucked out and discovered the spawn points for both the corvettes and the marauders. We'd sit there, one would appear, we'd sink it, wait a minute, and repeat.

dangerousden 05-04-2008 10:06 AM

Yeah - we found the spawn point and did the corvettes and marauders fairly quickly after that. The end of the quests is a bit of an anti-climax.

Oh - you've finished. Here is your new weapon. No explanation of what else it does for you, extra hit points etc.

Twisted 05-04-2008 10:27 AM

Where is the good spot for marauders? I know where the vettes spawn. I sailed out of padres and hit a coupe, then in the spot it was I would see a skelly ship or barracuda spawn... Sailed for a couple hours and didn't see many marauders there.

If I get my account back, it would help to know lol. PM me if ya want.

poindexter_79 05-04-2008 11:50 PM

new weapon quests are now history

I have finally finished all the weapon quests. The cutlass quest was the longest and most annoying. I couldnt believe how many ships you have to sink. On the bright side, I did go up two levels on my sailing. Well off to start the new tattoo quests. Pirate on!

I think it was somewhere between Tormenta and Outcast. Or was that the Corvette spawn? It's early Monday morning, I'm old, just finished a six-mile bike ride, and my brain takes a little while to get up to speed...

CaptainGreenGene 05-05-2008 01:51 PM

Push I on your keyboard, then move your mouse over the weapon that you were given (without clicking). It should say a quick description and the amount of hit points it does.:degen:

Spagz 05-05-2008 07:25 PM

I did the Cutlas, Dagger and Doll in one day. Did the pistol and Staff the 2nd day.
