Blackjack fridays
 

I've noticed this event advertised numerous times in the game.

I've gone to the bars indicated, and played Blackjack, but its no different than any other time in the game.

Am I missing something? Just what IS "Blackjack Friday" ???

I think its just more of a competetion thsn anything. Its all recorded on the POTC site. Not sure anything else for it.

OT: yea i dont think there is a signifigance to it

what I dont get is theres a black jack friday but no poker days -_-

The BlackJack Firdays I believe correlate to the Stats on DXD. THere is a category for most BlackJack hands won, so I am thinking it may be for that category of stats which is why they only use those Pubs.

What is this DXD anyways?

Ok William, we declare Saturday "Hold'em Saturday", on saturday between 6-8pm pst please go to your favorite pub and play poker just like you do every other time in the game. In our hearts we know the "Hold'em Saturday" event has merit. (we just have no clue where else)

Whats the point in naming an event, if its a 'non-event' which "blackjack friday" appears to be.

At this point all it is, is a fancy announcement to make everyone playing pirates think they might be missing out on something else.

DxD: go to www.piratesonline.com and on the left sidebar theres "Players Channel DxD" We just call it DxD for short. It shows all the pirates stats and other pirates as well.

I've lost more money on Blackjack Friday (playing Blackjack!?) than on any other day. It's a trick, it's a trick!!!

It's a day that allows players to enjoy peace and quiet in places like Padres Del Fuego while others scramble to the bars at Port Royal and Tortuga, thinking something cool will happen. ^.^

I dont think many people play on Blackjack Fridays of course some do. But i have been on several servers and have seen only about 1 person playing..

It's the day the pubs and dealers restock in coins.

I agree that gambling should not be a necessity in the game. Making it available means it is a choice but to make it necessary could start some people into a problem with gambling.

Zeppers- Blackjack Friday's are just a way to get your ranks up on DXD.

greatertater- The tavern games are simply to mimic the life of a pirate.
For those that know how to play, it is a great way to earn gold.
If it does cause a problem for someone to get into gambling, they should just play POTCO. :o
But it should not be a necessity, especially considering all the other problems POTCO has to deal with now.

I wonder maybe there is sumfin extra then u play on fridays :P

I had hoped it would somehow help one progress in some fashion in the game when I first saw it. Im not much of one for leaderboards, etc.

I used to concentrate on leaderboards, ladders, etc.
Had no problems being in the top ranks in most any games I've played.
Just too much work to keep on them. hehe
