We are a fun loving guild who do jsut about everything, from searching out new bugs and finding old ones, to raids all over the caribbean. We will always to help help both fellow members and nonmembers, so long as were available

Ok, now to rules and the backbone stuff. Everyone with unlimited access is welcome, but be ready to prove yer worth. Family and real life friends are guaranteed accpetance regardless of level or basic/unlimited.

Rules:
1. Standard don't be a jerk/ be mean
2. Do not ask about promotions, they will be decided based on mine and officers recommendations.
3. (Goes with rule 2) Just because you aren't selected to be an officer, doesn't mean we don't like you, it's just we picked someone else. you could be right below them on the list.
4. Please ask beofre you tp to someone. We have quests and leveling ot take care of too, and sometimes may wanna be alone. So remember ot ask first
5. Anytime you need help, ask, but if one of us can't help you right then, we wil try to later.
6. You must have open chat to join as of 3/14/09
7. Avobe all else, have fun and remember, it's just a game.

Member: Entry level rank, doesn't make yer voice any less important. Everyone starts out and works their way up
Junior Officer - Training to become a full officer. They can recruit and give reprimands, but cannot boot members
Officer - Can recruit, give reprimands, and boot with a senior or cadre's permission
Senior Officer - Can recruit, give reprimnds, and can boot if they believe there is need
Cadre - Myself and the top officers. We run the guild, organize events and meetings, and decide outcomes of rowdy members (more rowdy then usual)

Why should you become a Rogue?
The answer is what you want. We always do our best to help both guildmembers, and anyone who asks us. I'm not gonna say i'm perfect, but I do my best to help everyone.

Why are the Rogues unique?
We're a guild of miscreants, lol. Seriously, we do a bunch of different things. That, and we do some really fun events. Plus, we have set rules, but we're very easygoing, and if you don't give us a reason to distrust you, we won't.

Just for your info one rule I c u left out that is quite important is asking permission to tp to a fellow guildee b4 just popping up at Kingshead beside another guildee who is trying to level his grenades.

That might be a rule worth considering.

Well, the guildmaster's addictions to poker, blackjack, and fine rums (namely, my vices) have caused a small (read huge) drop in the funds. Thansk again for the rule, gonna edit it now.

Well, it looks like a good, SOLID basic guild. Your website has more content than many I've seen.

Most people I've run into in the game are already in a guild except for the new ones--and they don't remain free agents for long. So that brings me to these two questions:

1. WHY should somebody leave their guild to join yours?
   
2. WHAT makes your guild unique?

Not blasting ye mate--trying to help you out. Try thinking of your guild as a business--one business that provides the same service as a thousand other businesses. What makes your business worth having people spend their hard-earned money? Why should people who already shop at Walmart start shopping at Yourmart?

Figure that out and your guild will grow, mate.

This is ruly a great guild. Im a "senior Officer" on the guild (Soda Pop) and we do a ton of fun things to make our guild different. we have war sloop races, we do role play (pertending, acting out) and we help each other out all the time, helping level or quests or other things. this is a talkative guild at times, and we have a ton of very cool people on the guild. check it out!

Thank you for asking Bart! A few reasons I believe the Rogues to be a guild worth joining are-

1. We are a medium sized guild (in the neighborhood of 60 members) and we have active players in all level ranges, from pirate master to level 10 and under. This variety makes for a more enjoyable game, as we all help each other, and just hang out!

2. Our guild website is run off the free hosting site "wetpaint." This site allows each member to have a specific profile, and it allows us to send messages back and forth out of game. We also have a chat page on the site which one or more of us are usually on. The site also contains several guides such as a leveling and a glitch guide, which are constantly being updated. There are also new site projects underway constantly. It's great to be in a guild where we can (and WANT to) talk to other members without being in-game.

3. One of my favorite things about the Rogues is the opportunity for advancement. I can't tell you how many guilds I have been in where the GM promotes based on level or his personal friendships. In the Rogues, everyone starts out as a member, and after a period of time, if he/she has been helpful in the guild and hasn't caused any problems, they are then eligible to become an officer. After officer, there is also the opportunity to be promoted to Senior Officer and finally, Co-GM. As someone who has worked up to a Co-GM position, I can say that this method of promotion gives the Rogues a sense of actually accomplishing something, rather that just knowing they were promoted because the GM likes them.

4. Rules. Rules are no fun, right? WRONG. The simple rules (and actual enforcement) of the Rogues' rules keep a fun and harassment-free game environment. If someone in the Rogues becomes a problem, we don't have a problem giving them the size 14 boot, as Zeke likes to say. It's amazing how enforcing a few simple rules really makes the game more enjoyable.

So basically, the Rogues are exactly what I would personally look for in a guild (if I happened to be looking ;) ). It's friendly, fun, and serious enough to be cool, but not so much its creepy. ;) If anyone has any specific questions, I'd strongly encourage you to ask Zeke or myself.

hey guys, i'm thinking of rejoining PotC but i wanted to know that if i re-joined i'd have people to actually talk to (people in-game are awfully quite for a bunch of rowdy pirates). So i'd like to know how many people are usually on around noon - 10PM EST, 'cause that's when i'm usually on.

i'm not 100% sure if i'll rejoin or not but i'm considering it, having some friends ingame may sway me to sign back up again lol. If you'll have me, pm me a guild code.

In the Rogues, there are about 3-7 people on during your specified time on Monday through Thursday (usually more are on at or after 5 PM) and that number often increases to 10+ during those times on the weekend (Friday through Sunday) However, there are of course fluctuations. We'd be glad to have you in the Rogues and I hope you decide to rejoin the game! I'll get ole Zeke to send you a code. ;)

Well, I'm usually on around that time as well. When I get on later today, I'll get a code together to send to ye.

Yeah, me, Zeke, and Jack Sailwalker are on TEST, and there may be more. The Rogues exist on TEST, but we focus on OPEN. :)

In addition to what jas said, and after reading yer post, i'm only level 12. I don't spend much time on test.

Just look around the guild forums at sites. The best way to make sure your site is okay though is to PM a mod with a site link. If it's okay they'll give you the go ahead to post it. Just to quote the advertising rule...

Zeke, I think we should give some serious thought to switching hosting sites from Wetpaint to Fish. We could do some heavy copy and pasting to transfer the info, and since I know "Casmere," I think we could have a heavy influence on the creation and setup of the site. I'm also pretty sure I could get the "moderation" taken care of. At this point, Wetpaint is a bigger pain in the butt than it's really worth.

Hopefully, the new site will work out well. We're currently in the process of changing sites, so it's not available to the public.

Officer: Promoted based on the current leadership opinion, or by popular vote. (Whichever comes first) The most basic leadership role, officers lead members, and are valued people.
Senior Officers - Those who have shown themselves to be distinguished leaders, they are senior officers. They lead the guild, as rolemodels and helpers.
Co-Guildmaster - Those who have shown great leadership in the senior officer position of the guild. It's a very honored role.
