Anyone ACTUALLY like Country Music,CMT,etc. that enjoys it? i don't think anyone actually does like it. i guess i'm a lone Texas Ranger if no one else does.

I love it.. I admit it :)

Darlin' I AM a redneck!!! I drive a Z71 with a lift....My closet consists of Wranglers, my belt/buckel (can bender) that my daddy bought me when I was a kid....(15 years ago) and I can't live without my Wolverines. I wear my Justins to weddings and funerals. In fact when Skulley and I got married I was wearing my boots and jeans.....
I grew up listening to Hank, Haggard, and Jones. I remember when Conway sang Rock. I remember what Willie looked like before the beard and braids. I can tell you all 4 of the Highwaymen and own many of the Outlaws albums. I know the ORIGINAL lyrics of 'Good Ole Boys" and not the Dukes theme song. I always thought Garth was a flake. I remember the Queens of country before the women of country started sounding like watered down Pop. I feel most of the popular "Country" acts came to the sticks because they couldnt cut it in pop. Shall I say Keith Urban and Rascal Flats?.... About the only "new" country artist I like is Trace..... As for Gretchen Wilson That Redneck Woman aint got squat on me........... Bella |
I don't have that country accent, I can adapt one if I need to...but country is all I listen to other than when my mom puts on "That ol' time rock & roll"...:laughks2:
|
listen to it all, except rap
|
I use 4 presets in the car.
One for traffic, one for the Red Sox and then the Boston Country Station when I'm up that way and the Providence Station when I'm around home. |
:smiley4:I love country music! I'm listening to it right now, actually. Randy Travis' Three Wooden Crosses is playing. I sing along, too.
I like all the new stuff, but then I didn't get to grow up with the old stuff. I like Dolly and Willy, though. I don't know the others well enough to pass my own judgement, but there are some that I've heard that have lasted through the generations. Go country!:smiley8: :fahrzeug081: |
I do miss Randy Travis. Diggin' Up Bones...On The Other Hand....Forever And Ever....
Another "newer" one I like is Josh Turner |
I guess the fact that I do country line dancing would have to mean that I like country music at least a little bit. :D
|
Speaking of line dancing anyone see Alan Jacksons "Good Time" music video?
|
I like some of it, but not all of it. ;)
|
I was "converted" to Country-anity back in the late 80's when I was lucky enough to attend the institution of higher learning located in College Station, Texas.
I went in a devotee of Def Leopard and those horrible hair bands. Then I found out that all the pretty girls liked to go dancing on Thursday nights at bars that played country. Garth Brooks, George Strait, Randy Travis, Charlie Daniels, and even got to meet Alan Jackson when he was playing dance halls promoting "Blue Blooded woman and a red neck man". Needless to say, I had an immediate and profound revelation (thanks in large part to a blond named Jenny) which has never gone away. At my wedding we played "Forever and Ever", "Love can build a bridge", and even David Allen Coe's "Greatest Country and Western Song" (of course, that was a little later during the reception). |
Oh and "Ladies like country boys!". I like that song. ^_^
|
I've seen that ones Music video, funny one too.
