How Many Times Have You Rode Pirates of the Caribbean?
How many times have you rode Pirates of the Caribbean either at WDW or at Disneyland?
Mods: Not sure if this is the right place to put this thread, but thought it would be nice to see if people came to the game because of the love for the ride or just because of the movies. Be interesting to see! |
I will start. I pretty sure that i have rode the ride at WDW probably about 75 or 80 times. It is and will always be my favorite ride. One of Walt's greatest treasure.
|
I have ridden the first and original POTC ride at Disneyland about 200 times in my lifetime.
It was by far my favorite ride at Disneyland LOOOOONG before any movie script was written. It used to be the most popular and longest line, but as the years went by and Disneyland put in newer rides, much to MY pleasure, that line dwindled and its not hard, or a long wait to get on usually. I havent been in sometime now, so with the popularity of the movies that may have changed. I also remember it was always a "cool" ride to get on on those hot summer days. When I see the movies... I catch most of thier "bits" from the ride they throw into the movies. Disney knows theres a few of us ole fans out there and caters to us :) |
The ride is the whole reason why i watched the movies. I wanted to see how much they would include in the movies from the ride.
Still never got to ride the original at Disneyland, but someday I will make it out there. Coast to Coast trip will be done just to ride my favorite ride. lol |
I rode the PotC ride at WDW for the first time this past July (which was also my first visit to any of the WDW parks). It was a ... blast!
|
Well, it's been my favorite ride since I was 3yo. We go multiple times every year, so I have no idea how many times that is. Too many to count.
Like you guys, the ride is the only reason I saw the movies. And I loved the movies, wheich led me to the game. So I am blaming my parents for my game addiction. You can see that its their fault for introducing me to the ride, which started the whole chain of events. :psmiley35: |
It must have been 1975 when I first rode it in WDW. I would have to say I'm well over 50 times on that ride. I was interested in the game because of my love for Disney and the movies as well. Robert Darkskull Pistols N Bladez :piratewheelgo2: |
aye 3 times at disneyland back in 1989 lol took the kids
|
If I had to make any kind of guess, it has to be in the hundreds. I've made hundreds of trips to Disneyland and ride it nearly every trip. It never seems to grow old for me.
|
If i could count that high id tell ya but i stopped at 1000000000 :p
|
3 times exactly now if you asked me about Space Mountain or the Rock n Roller coaster it might be a higher number :)
|
Ive been in space mountain when it broke down...
They refunded our ticket so we could go on another ride. Yes, this was in the era of the "E" ticket rides.. hehe. Anyone got any old Disneyland ticketbooks still? Even with all the newer rides they added, which I do love.. and im a big rollercoaster fan. Still POTC.... dA BesT!!! |
I rode it only once, I think it was before the first POTC movie was created, I want to go again, but I'll have to wait for family vacation time comes to suggest it
|
I think last time when I went with my cousin I think I rode it 20 times, we just went on it over over... :D
|
I've been on the POTC Ride at WDW thice now (every December we make the round trip of almmost 4000 miles to there and back :D)
|
OMG to many times to count... Living only 2 hours away from WDW we are there a lot. I started going the first year it opened and have not tired of the place yet!! And I love the Pirate movies every bit as much as the ride!! :dancetl6:
|
Lets see I go to the park an average of 110 times a year.I then ride Pirates 2 times each time big thunder 3 times and HM 2 times. This has been going on for 3 years so 660 times:shocked:
|
I could not tell you how many times I have ridden this ride at DLR. It is a big 0 for WDW as I have never been there. I can say the ride count is going up at DLR as I will be there next wek :) I am also glad to say i have gotten to experience all versions of it, from the original chase scene to the gluttony scene to the current movie version!!

DLR = DisneyLand Resort, Zep. ^^
As for the POTC ride, I will say I found it quite amusing the 1 time I did ride it at WDW, but I don't remember anything about it to really discuss. |

From my perspective, thats just the resort/hotel at Disneyland and California Adventure. We leave Disneyland via the monorail to go eat there sometimes. |
I am just used to the pin terminology. They use the short versions of the parks to talk about where the pin is from. Pins are from either WDW, DLR, DLP, ect.
I guess I am just used to it, because I've been collecting Disney pins since 1998. |
Sorry about that last post, sometimes when we as pirates get into something we really enjoy like disney we forget that the slang, abreviations, and acronyms we get used to are not familiar to others that are not exposed to them regularly. But yes it was meaning the Disneyland Resort as it is now currently referred to by the Disney corporation. Sorry again for the confusion :)
|
I have rode it hundreds of times.
I remember I used to live 5 min away from disneyland by walking. |
Lucky you Swash. I have rode it a few hundred times. Still my favorite ride there.
|
Once, the only time I've been to Disney World. Wanna go back though.
|
Gosh, that ride never gets old I would have to say I have rode it
50 to 60 times that song never gets old.. even my userpage has it :) |
the best time to ride is at night when fantasmic is on... no lines they let you go back to back... that of course is at disneyland... didn't like the one at wdw. i know every line be heart from that ride and from the mansion... i know where the "hidden mickeys" are... i have great pirate pics... but i'm still a film guy so i need to scan them... my next goal is dinner or lunch at The blue bayou.
|
Cant count. Probably between 10-20 times. This ride is classic, and even better with the addition of Jack, Barbossa, and Davy Jones. Probably can't go to a Disney park without hearing the legendary "Dead Men Tell No Tales!"
|
I just went back to WDW this past weekend. I haven't been since 99 and we definitely rode that ride at least 10 times. Its such a great ride even if it does move kinda slow. It just lets me look at jack sparrow even longer lol altho they didnt have the water and screen of davy jones working when i went.
