To get in the Test server you need to Follow the rules, Cross your fingers, and hope they pick you next.
It seems as though I'm not the only member here who has posted in the blogs and I know who it is! :D

ADMIN - GM Cayman Trench
Test Server access is sent out via e-mail invitation. We start from our longest standing members (Pirates that have been Unlimited Access since Launch) who have had no account violations, are in good standing, no previous bans or player reports/complaints filed against them. You also must be a current, paid Unlimited Access Member subscriber. Canceling or changing to Basic Access will cancel your Test Server access.

If you meet all of these requirements, congratulations! You either already have Test Server access or are on the waiting list. We do not transfer any Pirates from the Live game over to the Test Server, everyone starts from meager beginnings on Test.

When we have large releases and need help to check out upcoming game updates, we like to message the community. If we are ever in need of recruiting more Pirates for the Test Server cause, we'll let you know and release the next batch of invitations ... so keep a watchful eye on your inbox.

Thanks for your interest!
I think that's the answer but Swashbuclkler made it short and sweet.

What's sad to me is people PAY to test the game... It should be the other way around. Or at least give people free unlimited access to the live game as long as they are playing on the test server and reporting bugs. Just my opinion, but I would never waste my time playing on a test server without any ACTUAL benefits besides seeing new things before the live players.

Back to your regularly scheduled boredom.

Awesome! I have never been banned, paid from day 1, am still paying member! Now all i need to do is cross my fingers.

You think we pay to go on test?
No, we don't.
Yes you do need to pay, for the regular open server so you can get on test but you don't have to pay for test as a seperate account.

I pay for my open server account and get unlimited access on test.

Mr.LoveLocket 10-13-2008 02:06 PM

I've been banned! :( Oh well

Harukantos 10-13-2008 09:20 PM

I think most people in Partners in Crime have been banned, they're just haters!, lol JK

Dr. Zeppers 10-13-2008 10:08 PM

I was banned once for a stupid reason, yes it was against the rules, but there was no harm, no complaints, no reports, and we talked to customer service to clear it all up.

I'd like to think that didnt eliminate me from the selection pool, but it probably did.
Even an honest guy cant catch a break these days... oh well.

Perhaps I should start another account.. lol
Thats what THEY encouraged me to do while I was suspended.

swashbuckler II 10-13-2008 11:32 PM

LOL, funny funny!
By the way, 3 people from PIC Live Server are on Test. Chris, Rachel and Amelia, more might come to test. :D (Not most people have been banned.)

Cannonfury 10-13-2008 11:42 PM

Sarah 10-14-2008 12:24 AM

I signed up for Pirates on day one of Live, 10/31/07. Got my invite to test on 6/24/08. Give it some time if you've just been on a month or two.

I don't think making another account would increase your chances of getting to test.
They'll see that you have the same email address and count you as someone who was suspended/banned.
If you make another account, do it with another email address.
(Wait, I don't think you can make an account with the same email address as another, can you?)
The best option would be with another email address.(one of yours)

ukebec 10-14-2008 03:28 AM

I've never been banned, but I may have been reported - don't know. And I've been p2p since Nov. 17, yet no invitation. I think there's a certain degree of randomness at work also.

Although linked, all with different emails, I have 3 accounts, 2 unlimited but one of those via gamecard, it expires for a day, then I renew it, so they may not count it. Seems to always think im new when I enter it in on the website, and it is linked.

I just sorta give up hope. Maybe someday, and hey, its not like I dont have enough to do. :) I personally see 2 advantages, it would help me be part of the team addressing the issues, and hopefully in some way improve the product/experience. It would also provide me with some advance information so when things are on open, I could perhaps help those out having difficulty there. As I currently strive to do there, and on the forums.

Anyhow, time will tell.

Rackat 10-14-2008 12:14 PM

Like others, I have never been banned, but I have probably been reported when I was a n00b for whacking away at a someone else's "target".

lostmymarbles 10-15-2008 08:12 AM

Omg Sarah.. never banned!!! Me neither.

Gonna have to rename the guild .. "Deuces (correctly spelled) Tame." Naw doesn't have the same flair.

I've been a paying pirate since I started at the end of December. I got my invite this summer and thought bummer...gotta start all over as a baby pirate.
