Is anyone else unable to play today?
 

Has anyone else been able to log on today? I've been unable to play all day long, it always says it couldn't connect to the server.

Is this the site or is it just me? XD

i think right now its just the luck of getting into the game :/ because isnt it true there is not really beta testing on the week days except for friday? so i think it just doesnt have as good of a "connection" on the days its "off".. thats just my guess..

I'm getting in... But... I only go a few steps, then the screen freezes, like the server is adding some updates...

I boarded the War Friget... it had 3 skellies, but no skull & cross bones flag. Very nice ship (except for lag keeping you from getting up the stairs quick). I couldn't take the helm, but I snak some enemy ships... Then we took damage from other players and sunk... I don't think the last repairs I made to my own ship really took last time, but I needed to pay again before I could get my ship sailing again... I still need to try teleporting off as another ship as it goes down. I know it works on my ship when it's docked (but the ship gets put away)...

Going to try getting back on. I think I'm in sea 5, and they might make changes one sea at a time, or NOT...

The game is unplayable today, i have tried six times and the longest has been time enough to search six barrels in the fort (maybe 5 minutes)

I hate to rant but they really have to make an improvement on this, beta testing should start after the basics have been completed. The extreme lag and system freezes should have been work out pre-beta

I just looked and some how I'm in Sea 7, & Sea 5 is alltogether gone, or off the map... There was 7, 6, and I think 4.... 7 & 6 had like 40... so I crashed when I went to the smaller one. I wonder where I'll be when I go back in?

I reinstalled the game, but I still can't get in. Every time I try I get a connection error and can't access the server. My connection is fine (as evidenced by the fact that I'm posting. XD), but for some reason it still won't work.

Shouldn't all this have been worked in pre-beta? This whole thing is a mess, in my opinion. XD

I can't even get in at all. Right after the May 11th update, I haven't been able to play at all. I can log in and load the phases. Right after the phases load, the gaming window pops up. After a minute or so (gaming window still a black screen), the gaming window closes. Anyone have any ideas in how to fix this?

Exact same thing with me, except I always get to the "Could not connect to the server." screen, I press retry, THEN it exits out. It's been like that since this morning.

I'm recovering from the last crash... 5th Sea was back, with only 6th and 7th- All in the 30's... I know you can't play (well) if you have Yahoo Widgets running...

I never run Windows Fire Wall, just one for my router... I'm on a cable modem, running wireless (makes my cable even a little slower)... Are you on Dial-Up?

oh man i wish i can play right now! its so odd because i was able to play 2 days ago.. im gonna just try to keep on re-download the game :/

I've been able to play just fine, except that I can never get out to sea without getting murdered... @_@

And by the way, there's about 10 threads already about the same topic. You guys have to think how much this costs Nick; next time, use the Search button.

Nope, I'm on Broadband, with the game's graphics turned down to the bare minimum, and still no luck. I don't see how people of Dial-Up do it! XD

I can get in on 1 of my computers but not the other! The only difference being the one I can't get in runs Vista and the other XP. But others with Vista have been getting in! :confused:

I'm using Vista without any problems, only lag spikes at times.

I haven't been able to play in days. Right after it says "Connecting..." on the second window, it'll take be back to the login one.

For 3 days, after logging in and attempting to connect, I'm booted back to the login screen with a "Game Exited With Error [12]" message.

That's exactly what happens to me. So I'm not the only one.

How did you reinstall it?

Edit - Okay, okay...I found out how to do it. Wow, for a minute I thought I wouldn't be able to get it back. I searched through my e-mails though and found it. I'm pretty sure you must have the right e-mail to install it again. I reinstalled it and it's still not working.

Exact same deal with me. Which relieves me, because now I know it's not just my computer.

I reinstalled it easily, because I forgot to delete the install program (good thing, too.) If you ever need it again, just go to the official beta site, you can download the install program there.

Hopefully Disney can resolve this, I don't see how they can possibly expect us to test their game if we can't even log in. XD

Throw me into this boat, it has been since the latest updates 05/11/2007 that I have not been able to play pirates online. I have sent numerous messages into them with no response (only canned responses), and no resolution to the problem. Glad to see others are having the same problem with error 12 and not able to log into the game, and its not just me...

I have done everything from disconnecting my firewall and connecting directly to my cable modem, to disabling two different anti-virus software applications, etc and nothing seems to help resolve this problem...Will just keep sending in those bug reports...

I've been able to play, but it's been very laggy. In the past I only had a problem with lag once in a while.

Look at your log when you crash. Mine says stuff like, "could not connect to pirates.gameserver.com" or something like that.

Can't log in! :(
 

So many threads about people crashing.. when I can't even get in at all! :(
I log in, and get the following message, I click OK but it only does the same again when I log in again.
Have not been let in for about a week now. Don't say report the problem as I already have.
Any help or past experiences?

It has been almost a week (the updates of 5\11)since i have been able to log in.
I have sent numerous bug reports in with no response at all.
I have uninstalled and reistalled, disabled all virus programs
but i keep getting "game exited with error[14]"
exited!?!?! window pops up(black screen) then closes after a few seconds
this has happened at LEAST 100x in the past week
FRUSTRATED!!!!

Same with me. I can't even log on right now. I already filed a report about this. If we ALL report this problem, I'm sure the programmers will put this problem on top of their to-do lists.

New patch was released and I can play now, woot! Also, my name got accepted on my second (not main, but it's okay) account. Woot!
