load screen and jail!
 

well i have been having this problem where i join a crew and get stuck at the "high seas" screen. i can hear everything going on. i can click the spot on my screen where the chat skull would be. i can even draw weapons and hit "M" and blindly click the map to try and TP away. anyone else get this? it is VERY new for me.

also the other day i wound up in jail (stupid rum) and when i came to i didn't get the "press shift to kick the door" dialogue. i was just stuck there until i logged out and back in. that also was a first for me.

Ugh I always get suck on the loading screen. I thought it was just me. Usually I try at all costs to avoid TPing to someone out at sea, especially if its SvS. But as for the jail thing, I haven't visited it for a while but its happened to friends of mine.

i hadn't been to jail for a while myself 'till i started crewing with newer (im not gonna say "noob" ... i'm a hair's breath from lvl25 myself) captains who don't know when to port. THEN i re-familiarized myself with the bars. but as far as TPing- when i get stuck at the load screen i hit "M" then try and click anywhere i can where i think the map might be. this afternoon at the "high seas" screen i blindly TPed to the french island. that freeze seems to happen if i crew to a ship with a big crew and particularly if they happen to be in the heat of battle.

That happened to me when I boarded my own ship, I think it was my frigate, Outlaw Wolf that did that to me

I've given up on TPing to ppl if they are sailing. I'd rather get in the same server, crew up, and then use the dinghy. Its a pain, but it seems to eliminate the wait on the loading screen.
Oh and of course after saying I haven't visited jail, I did last night. Lol. No glitches there luckily.

I always seem to get the stuck on the loading screen when i use the dinghy to board a ship, but NEVER when i tp to someone instead, so i never use the dinghy. I also had the jail one the other day on my new pirate (she died attempting to level at KH still with the fixed fence -sigh). I never knew you could still chat and attempt to blindly teleport somewhere though. I can try that next time it happens. :)

Hmm: if you got stuck in jail, it seems more likely that, for once, it was actually working!

Lol League. But we're pirates we're supposed to escape jail. Not be stuck in it.

yeah if you are stuck at the screen and you can hear the battle, click lower left at where the chat window would be and youll hear it open. you can even say something like "if anyone can see me sorry im stuck at the loading screen". also you can hit the F keys and hear yourself drawing weapons. I just eventually hit "M" and then click in the area of the map until i find an island.

This happens to me often when i attempt to board using the dinghy. Generally in Abassa or Andaba tbh. However, it has happened a time or two since the update in more quiet servers.

I hit enter and tell my crew whats going on (because I've been told they can see my chat) lol ... but i'll have to try the blind teleporting too - if i can figure out where to click

Today, I was actually sent to the report a bug page after just giving up and closing the game.

Hope this and other of the not so fun glitches are fixed soon.

Dont no bout the boardin and such...but I did have a friend in jail who couldn't escape. He had to log out in order to get out

Boarding ships has gotten worse for me lately. I can't tp or use the dinghy. But only when I'm going to a friend, launching my own ship just takes forever but it does load eventually.

Swimmng pools are the latest in boarding techniques that I have observed. Recently, when I board a ship I end up more times than naught wadein in a pool aboard the ships...

I get that often and even when launching my own ship. Maybe it is their early stage development of customized ships. I doubt it but it is a nice thought.

As to teleporting of a ship when stuck with the loading screen. I just try searching for the return to port button.

I figure I might as well update what I have been doing now when stuck in the load screen when boarding a ship.

Now I just have a piece of tape on my screen where the "return" button is located on the map screen. This seems to make it easier to find as I know where to click with it there.
