Cool :D theyre doing this again woo!

Deadpool 11-14-2008 10:59 PM

I wonder how this will play out. Need I remind everyone who was on Devils. Now imagine it for a second. About a million pirates in one tavern? I think it's great, but you get my point.

Sven Osymthe 11-14-2008 11:10 PM

ty for posting Chris.....and as Ed said I wonder how this will turn out. Everyone must remember how well they followed that schedule last time. All the same.....I will still try and go to some of the events, and maybe see some of ya from here there too! lol

Deadpool 11-14-2008 11:19 PM

All I can say is poor taverns will look like this...

Chris 11-14-2008 11:26 PM

Yea i foudn it odd they were doing it in a tavern? I mean imagine the lag - shudders - funny how they put up the minimum requirement specs again!

League 11-15-2008 12:32 AM

I'm gonna park myself in front of one of the ladies all during next weekend when I can. Should be pretty fun. I think all of us should pick one of the gm's, and follow them along, check their words and what not, win their hearts, see what they can do with their general motor powers.

Eh, decided it'd be Ruby Winn.

Poison elf 11-15-2008 01:02 AM

With more computers and linked accounts we could all just park our 40's on all these gm's. Getting a word in edge wise probably not likely, so just make a bubble "what does level 40's have to look forward to?"

Jack Sharkbane 11-15-2008 01:05 AM

well as ed and sven said, the poor tavern will be more crowded than a free rum stand! ( shudder ) and we all know what that is like...... complete pandamonium and chaos......

Dr. Zeppers 11-15-2008 01:53 AM

Well I found it also depended on the time, and what GM you tried to meet before.

The couple at the top of the list were majorly busy with sooo many pirates .. but as the day went on.. It thinned out, and the GMs further down the list were actually not as swamped by pirates. I was able to talk to them several times then, and even had them notice I was following them.. hehe

Sven Osymthe 11-15-2008 01:56 AM

Just an idea but.....what if some people from POF went into groups to visit each GM so we can gather more info on what they have to say?

I Like It.

Fillyteen 11-15-2008 02:11 AM

never on the beta/test server they don't come, we always get to miss out on the events of the GMs showing up

Chris 11-15-2008 04:57 PM

First batch is at 1 pm eastern today!

Sven Osymthe 11-15-2008 04:58 PM

looking forward to maybe seeing some people from pof there lol

Chris 11-15-2008 06:13 PM

OK 5 mintues until the first event remember take pictures!!!!

M. T. Bottles 11-15-2008 06:55 PM

well, what a bummer. the Gm (cap walter) was there a little late and left right on time. too many questions asked all at once to really get any solid answers. basically a ship is going to bring new clothes and other items. upgrades will be made, but he didn't really specifiy which ones. then poof, gone. sorry guys a forgot to get a pic.

Davil 11-15-2008 07:01 PM

Ok i am angry! Ruby hasn't shown up at any of the places she is supposed to be! Nothing and no one is happy at Bimos ocean, Kings arm !

Chris 11-15-2008 07:36 PM

Hmm so ruby be a no show eh?

Poison elf 11-16-2008 12:06 AM

Well I got pretty much nothing out of this. We all have already heard of the founders feast.

Did hear about looking for the Harkaway ship, and Sir Victor at Port Royal docks. I am assuming probably a quest coming up with this ship and him kicking it off.

Didn't hear anything about the multiple questions of level cap etc.

I did find it annoying one of the gm's said they were getting tired with the task of passing this message of the feast.

I feel they have a long ways to go to start feeling tired, perhaps 6 months of being at level 40 with nothing to do?

Some people should get a little grip with what they are saying. Put me on the test server and such things. I was surprised not to see the room full of staff casting constantly though.

Sarah 11-16-2008 12:57 AM

One of the GM's seriously said they were tired of passing on info about the founders feast? I hope they were on a "your call may be monitored for quality assurance" chanels.

Deadpool 11-16-2008 01:01 AM

Aww... I missed it. Curse you Early Christmas Shopping Spree!!! By the replies I see above it doesn't sound like I missed much.

Reaver 11-16-2008 01:05 AM

you didnt really miss anything worth while

This guy has been seen twice on the docs sputtering about the treasure... and he only does a lot of talking... no helping...

*looks over at elf with a grin* and you and I are surprised? LOL :D Its bad when the Devs find it tedious just to pass a message - much less have us sit for months with no continued story quest...

Chris 11-16-2008 01:49 AM

LOL very true max very true...

Tobias Darkfury 11-16-2008 03:00 AM

Went to all of the GM spots .. with Ruby the only one being a no show.

Asked about the Kraken and ran the idea of ultra rare flag ships that we can hijack and take for our own ships (replied in interest and stated they will pass it on to the others).

Stated that the Kraken should be comig soon.

The Feast I had no idea about till the first GM I visited (which I don't think I will make it due to being away).

Some were worth talking to and got some decent information (Thatch & Xavier) and others ranted on and just danced around.

They also mentioned about that they were planning to raise the levels soon, but to how high wasn't stated.

I forgot to ask when we are going to be able to reasign the skill points.

Oh and someone gave the idea of captains quarters on our ships though there was really no use for it. Kinda just as good as the pets thing IMO.

I like the kid who had the nerve to say "SHUT UP EVERYBODY" right when a game master is there LOL:laughks2::laughks2::laughks2::laughks2:

Deadpool 11-16-2008 01:38 PM

Can you blame him? lol look at how many were there talking and asking questions and he wasn't really the only one there saying it.

Chris 11-16-2008 02:15 PM

No worse then when i was at the tavern with xavier everyone was yelling out their age....

Deadpool 11-16-2008 02:18 PM

Wait a minute. Hold on. Why were they doing that?!

Captain Del 11-16-2008 02:26 PM

Ugh, the one time I want to sit down and have a drink of rum, and there are 30 other pirates standing in front of the door, and I can't get in!!

Tobias Darkfury 11-16-2008 05:14 PM

Luckily I was able to catch Thatch and Xavier on quiet servers. Maybe 8 to 10 pirates in the bar at max.

Amen to both these comments...

Perhaps if they grow tired of giving us riddles they should give us some information and we'd stop asking!

Jack I 11-16-2008 06:29 PM

Just wanted to inform you all of this, it's not a very helpful answer, but for their riddles it explains that something was up.

So it seems as if Ruby had some issues come up that she couldn't make it to do the Tavern Takeover with them yesterday, but might be able to join today, or if not today hopefully next weekend.

Absolutely!

And they're tired of it, huh? Did they really think they were going to be able to just show up, impart their ambiguous messages and leave with everyone being overjoyed at having seen them?

Maybe the only good thing about this type of event is that they will be able to see how frustrated people are becoming with the changes (or lack of) to the game. People don't like to be ignored, and they are taking it out on the GMs.

ukebec 11-17-2008 03:11 AM

I watched Ruby having issues again today. She was booted off twice at a meet. The third time she showed up she was shin-deep in the floor and wouldn't stay until it was corrected.

She finally did come back. Didn't extend her time to make up for what she'd missed though.

Honestly, and I know it's petty of me, it did my heart good to see a GM suffering from the same lag and glitch issues that we have to deal with.

Jack Sharkbane 11-17-2008 10:58 PM

I just noticed, in the picture, look at the girl with a mug O' rum in her hand. THAT THING LOOKS HUGE!

Chris 11-17-2008 11:03 PM

ye be right it could fit over her head!

here's what I had to say: STOP GIVING US RIDDLES AND JUST TELL US WHATS HAPPENING!!!!!! geez, sometimes I wonder who's got more common sense, us, or the GMs?

Chris 11-17-2008 11:31 PM

Yea i wish they would tell us up front whats gonna happen and when!
