Notoriety Ring
 

When Lizzy turned Level 40, the notoriety ring around the 40 in the left upper corner of her screen was completely red. As time went on, the ring turned black again and started rebuilding to red. Now, Lizzy has fully mastered all weapons. The notoriety ring is still partially black. Is this normal? Does the ring continuously revamp as long as you are using a pirate character? Not an earth-shattering question, but a question in this inquisitive wench's mind. :bird-vi:

It does constantly change.

It does that Lizzy. Mine was partially red after I hit lvl 40, it was slowly building up as I mastered weapons, slowly went down after a while, went back up as I ranked...... it is now all red right now.

Mine fluctuates pretty randomly on all my 40s, for each login.

Just thought it was kinna strange since the red, I thought, represented reps gained.....

mine went around twice. Maybe ill be level 42 when the nort cap raises =D

hmmm i saw on dxd it sometimes says level 42 which is weird but its cool

I see mine full red at once...on another time half red and completly blank..and so forth.
But good observation Lizzy! :)

We are actually a higher note, but until the cap is raised you will not know. When i maxed my weapons and cap, many moons ago, dx showed that I was notoriety 42. Didn't pay much attention to the circle with some of the newer weapon quests or side quests that have come out since then. Sooo, now I am not sure how much higher in note I may actually be.

aye it will fill and and refill.........hopefully they will upgrade noterity soon along with the the game.

I had that happen as I level up my grenades, sailing and cannons, Kat is a level 40 as well

I have noticed the folowing...

My pirate that is 40 but not mastered and just a few extra side quests get a flash of red, then it goes black (actually - mostly dark red)...

My pirate that is 40 and Mastered with most extra quests done... is almost completely red (bright red and all the way around again - except for the last tip)...

If I had to guess... when they lift the Noriety above 40 - the 'red' I see is actually collected noriety above 40 and will be good once its available (careful - there are two shades of red when you do see it - the light color is what counts - the dark does not). Because weapons are mastered they aren't adding to the total - but - any extra quests or options do.

Yes i noticed this too and im hoping that its counting up the noto im gaining from finishing my weapons and quests so that when they do raise it i will already have more rep.

I can see it now. I'll read here that they have raised noto limit to. say, 50. I'll rush home and log in to POTCO and find that my lvl 40 pirate has become a LVL 50! NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

Well I just turned level 40 with my pirate and the circle was all bright green. I logged out and when I next logged in, it was partially red and black. The red filled about 60% of the circle. I'm not sure how that could indicated rep over 40 since I just turned 40. I wish the green had stayed for now, kinda nice.
I'm not mastered on all weapons though so still have a bit to go there. Interesting to here it seems to fluctuate.
