That Old Sailing Glitch
 

Remember that glitch when you sail off to sea and walk into a island. Like this: I do not own this picture.

I don't know how to do that, is that glitch still there? If it is, can you tell me how to do that?

Apparently it's back.....we sailed right through Port Royal last night. The Captain has to let go of the wheel and let someone else take it in order to port.

Yes, I know it,
1. Launch ur ship
2. Sail out until the anchor is gone, then stop once it is gone.
3. When it is gone, Sail backwards till you hit it.
4. when it reappears, turn 180, while turning, the anchor should go away, then come back.
5. let go of the wheel once facing the island. thne get back on.
6. Sail forward. and your in!

Fun glitch, but I can never see the buildings

Yes, it works. In response to Zeke's post, I can see buildings 50% of the time or so. Don't know what makes the difference.

This use to be where you would see fires burning on the shore and stuff. Firing fire cannon balls around the town. Not sure if that ever got straighten out or not.

Yup it's back. I had this glitch twice yesterday while sailing with a friend trying to port at Padres Del Fuego. The way it happened to me is that when the anchor icon shows up to port your ship, if you wait too long to click, it will disappear and you will be able to sail thru. Thu, by releasing the helm you will be able to port by taking it again.

Just tried this myself and confirmed to still work. Took it one step farther though. Instead of just sailing up to Port Royal I said..into Port Royal..sailed through the island all the way to the other side. nice little shortcut there...lol

Well, i think it's caused by staying in the porting area of an island for a long time. I sailed through tormenta not too long ago. I parked in the porting area, and pulled up a different website for a while. When i went back to the game, i started sailing right through tormenta.

Its still on test too
